It is an honor to present from Serbia – Katarina Cvetković , International top model, beauty queen with more than 20 sashes in different contests and competitions. Katarina is a reality of the new generation of future Misses and top models, combining her natural beauty and her talents – professions.
Katarina gives me an interview and we meet her now.

My name is Katarina Cvetković and I am 20 years old. I am 1,75 cm tall. I am coming from Leposavić, which is located in the North of Kosovo. I graduated from grammar school, and majored in social and linguistic studies in Raška. Now I am furthering my studies and improving my knowledge at the ‘Akademija strukovnih studija’. I’m studying financial management and my goal is to finish everything on time. I love spending time out with my friends, and I also spend my free time training.
1.- Katarina, you were born in Serbia. What do you like about your hometown in Serbia?
My hometown is a small place. It is both a traditional and a modern country because the local population celebrates and keeps to several traditional holidays, while at the same time developing and expanding infrastructure and building modern facilities.
2.- What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or does it give you a lot of joy?
In our lives, we like to spend our time doing certain tasks that can either help us earn money, or make our path toward our future and career. However, in the center of these obligatory tasks, most of us like to do things we enjoy as well. My hobby, for example, is also my job. It’s modeling, and I adore it.
People usually have a pretty good idea of what can make them happy, and when it comes to me, I am happy when I am having fun, when I buy chocolate for myself, or when I go and visit my city, getting good grades is what makes me happy, and also a good job.
3.- International Model, Beauty Queen, Balkanski Top Model 2022 first runner-up, Miss Global International World 2022 first runner-up, Third Runner Up at Miss Economic World 2021. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and in beauty pageants? What feelings do you have when you are achieving your dreams, your passions, and as a recognized influencer woman today?
I decided to take my first steps as a model and in beauty pageants when I finished high school. Considering that the faculty is very important to me, I see myself both in finance and modeling jobs. My main goal is to finish my college and succeed in the Miss and modeling competitions, and of course, I will work hard to be successful in both jobs. When I am achieving my dreams and when I am being recognized as an influencer woman, I feel excited. I cannot even describe the feelings I get when someone mentions or calls my name.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Katarina in each activity carried out as a person, ambassador, and international model?
I am aware of the fact that I have huge desires, even so, I try to do as much as I can and balance my everyday life and my work. Every person is born with their own set of abilities, and it may be easier for some to achieve their goals. That is something that can discourage me, because I am a big optimist. However, it is who I am. I am full of desires, and I have both flaws and virtues, I am also a big dreamer. I want to achieve a lot of things in my life, because I know I deserve it.
I love posing for pictures, and I had a lot of photo shootings, I am truly satisfied with the results and how the photos look in the end. What makes me unique is that in a really short time I achieved 20 sashes, and in a year, I was on several elections for Miss, which is a very short period compared to others.
5.- What is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an international model?
A real lady takes good care of herself. She likes to do sport, she is eating healthy, pays attention to skincare, and consults with experts if need be. This means that she is fit, and has glowing and healthy skin, hair, and nails.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I don’t think I achieved something extraordinary. On the contrary, I believe I have to work on myself more and improve myself.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
My first time in front of a camera was very exciting, but also challenging. In the beginning, my poses were uncertain, however, with the help and advice from the photographer, the pictures turned out great.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Media always had a big role in society, however, when social media appeared, the power of media grew even bigger. A lot of people became influencers and got a lot of power through social media, and they make a lot of money. The influence of social media grows bigger and bigger every day.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? What’s your favorite social media?
I usually communicate with people via social media, and I love it. I communicate via Instagram stories and Facebook because those are the two platforms I use.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
To our young talents I would advise being careful when choosing people who will be in their close circle of friends, and also not to let anyone enter their comfort zone.
Well, when we decide to do something, then that’s it, we have no other choice! Honestly, I think that we should definitely talk to our parents, in a mature and calm manner, preferably when we are all in a good mood.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
I think I would like to answer this question with something Kendall Jenner once said: It’s not easy when someone tells you that you haven’t been chosen for the next show. You feel rejected. Your self-esteem drops and you start doubting whether you are good enough, whether you are beautiful enough, or handsome enough. Anyone who wants to be in this business shouldn’t take rejection personally, it’s hard to deal with, but designers sometimes have a vision that not every model fits into. When you clear this in your head, then you can live without the tears.
12.- Katarina, has it been easy for you to be a model? Were there any obstacles? How did you overcome them?
If being a model was easy, everyone could and would do it. But it is definitely not easy. However, I am doing what I love and what makes me happy, and when you have a strong will, a desire to succeed, and when you are persistent, nothing is impossible. I am doing what I love and what makes me happy.
13.- Have you ever thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Haha, I haven’t even thought about it, but I think it would be an amazing and fun experience and that I would do well.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Yes, I think women should have a greater role in society. Every woman deserves to be treated like a queen, a lady, and every woman deserves to be loved. I am strongly against the abuse of women, and I want to emphasize this message: There is no justification for bullying, abusers should be reported!
15.- Katarina, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My everyday motivation is to always strive to achieve my goals and never give up.
16.- Katarina, do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend visiting in Serbia?
Traveling is a special experience. It is a unique, one-of-a-kind, unrepeatable accumulation of positive energy and a good mood. When someone travels somewhere, they let go of every thought that is unrelated, completely focus their mind on that trip and they exist in the moment. Traveling always creates good memories, and those memories will remind them of the beautiful and unique moments that they lived through. I would like to travel the whole world, so my answer to your question is YES, YES, YES, I love traveling.
I’ve been to European countries: Germany, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Turkey, and Austria.

My advice is that you should always be composed, even in the most difficult situations. Never give up and fight for yourself, because no one else will.
