She has a positive spirit, incredible energy, constant learning is important in her life and she loves getting to know new cultures and nature.
It is an honor to present Marina Sabbithi, Miss Universe Canada 2020 Finalist, graduated in Business Administration and with a diploma as a Business Analyst.
Marina was born in Kuwait, a country full of modernity and culture, she studied in India and currently resides in Canada.
Marina gives me an exclusive interview and tells me about her life.

1.- Marina, you were born in Kuwait ,What do you like about yourhometown? What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or does it give you a lot of joy? You live in Canada. Do you like Canada?
Yes , I was born in Kuwait. Its an amazing country , the quality of living is very good in Kuwait. Once you get used to it, other countries ia a little bit hard to adjust. You find a lot of luxury there and they respect women a lot. The best thing about Kuwait is Fashion. Girls follow amazing fashion and makeup trends in Kuwait.
I have a lot of hobbies cause I get easily bored with the same things , I like doing more of creative stuff, in my free time I sometimes play my guitar and sing, sometimes I sketch , I also love doing hair and makeup. I learn a few chores sometime.
Being a part of the worship team at church gives me a lot of joy !
I’ve been getting used to Canada now. I’m loving it right now , I love the nature and people here in Canada.
2.- Do you have a degree in business administration? Why did you decide to embrace this profession? What do you like most about your profession? Is it true that you wanted to study a medical profession?
Yes , I am a Business Administration Graduate and I have also done diploma in Business Analyst here in Canada. Right now I’m pursuing Business Intelligence. I always wanted to start my own business hence I chose this field. The one thing I like about this profession is the amount of opportunities you have, you can do anything you like here , like literally anything.
Yes, I also had a passion when I was younger to save lives as a doctor , I wanted to be a Christina Missionary Doctor , I always wanted to treat cancer patients. But God chose this profession for me.
3.- Miss Universe Canada 2020 National Finalist, When do you decide to take your first steps in beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized woman today?
It has always been a dream to be in a beauty pageant. Even the password for my first email was ‘Miss Universe’. This is going to be by first pageant officially , but I have applied for other pageants earlier as well. But since I kept moving to different countries I could not pursue them. I am so overwhelmed to have this opportunity to be a part of Miss Universe Canada , It has always been a dream to be a part of this pageant, which helps us to grow and learn more about ourselves and put our thoughts out to this world and help the world become a better place.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Marina in each activity carried out as a person?
I always try to think positive in whatever I do, I also try to listen more. I believe in learning rather than losing.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an beauty queen?
According to me empathy is the main virtue to need to have to be a beauty queen , so that you equally understand the problems of others.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for many girls who want to be beauty queen? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I would love to be an Idol for others, I would love to teach them to have a very optimistic approach towards life and competitions we face every day. I want to teach them that YOU are the reason for your happiness, you can be happy if you CHOOSE to be happy.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
Well, that’s an interesting question but just to inform you, this is going to be my first pageant and I am super excited to learn new things.
8.- What do you think about the power of social networks today?
I feel social media is a great way to communicate with this generation. It has the power of making a normal person a celebrity.
9.- Whats your favorite social network?
I really like instagram but unfortunately I’m not a phone person. I sit on my phone for a very less time.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
Well, I would like to tell all those young people , your happiness is in yours hands, it’s all in your mind , you can be happy in the worst situation also if you want to. If you find happiness doing what you love , pursue it, on the other hand if you feel going as per this worlds regulations and earning money would give you happiness , then do that .
I would ask the parents to try to understand their children more , but I would also like to tell the children to try their best to make their parents understand their dream. Make them feel as proud as you are.
11.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I really love the entertainment industry , I would love to be an actress , but at the same time , I will need to learn how to do it. It’s sounds fun though , wouldn’t mind learning it!
12.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
There are some set of people who never change , no matter how many times we teach them the importance of women, they still put them down. But still I would say , in the future women will rule , now itself women are doing great wonders. So I would warn the those people who put women down to watch out!
13.- Marina, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
I feel grateful for being able to wake up everyday! What is more important than LIFE? We need to thank God every morning for giving us another day in our lives.
14.- Marina What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from Canada and Kuwait?
I had lived in three countries which are Kuwait , India and Canada. I would like to know a lot more countries and travel the world .
I recommend Kuwait for its amazing malls and beaches and also luxurious life!
Indian food is great and it has so many festivals you can enjoy.
I love the nature and seasonal change in Canada , I would recommend Canada for its amazing nature!
