1.- Julia, tell me about the city where you were born and raised.,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born and raised in Minsk, Belarus. I like my hometown, it’s very beautiful and clean city, a lot of great places to visit, parks, museums, architecture. City centre is very nice, old town as well. It’s not that big as Kiev or Warsaw for example, but still I grew up there and have a lot of memories, family and close friends. Every time that I come there, a lot of memories are coming to my head, each street or neighbourhood means something to me, so it’s been very interesting feeling
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I have a lot of hobbies actually. One of it is makeup, I just started to do it professionally since November, and so far it goes pretty well. Women beauty inspires me, and I’m very happy to see smiling faces of girls while they see themselves in the mirror with my makeup. It’s gives me inspiration and very good feeling. Modelling is my work and hobby as well, I started at the age of 14 and by now I’m still developing myself in this industry, so it gives me motivation to become better version of myself and meet creative people. I love dancing and sport as well, trying to do exercises and go to gym 3-4 times a week. It gives me confidence and a good feeling to take care of my body and be healthy. My surroundings makes me laugh and joy, if you are in the right place at right times and with right people- it’s just amazing, I enjoy every second of it, it’s gives me power and motivation to achieve more results
3.-International Model, Miss Woman Poland 2024 – Miss Europe Continental 2022. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
About beauty contests, well I never actually thought about that. But once I went to casting for my first beauty competition, that was held in Llorret de Mar, Spain. It was The Best Model of Europe 2018. And in this competition I won a title Miss European Beauty 2018, and it was such a great experience for me. I don’t want to lie, it was very stressful for me and also I felt insecure at some moments, but I did my best there, meet amazing people, that we still keep in touch. So this is how my journey started with beauty competitions, and it’s been going well, I enjoy meeting girls from all over the world, visit amazing places , photosessions, catwalks and coronation of course. It’s such a great experience to be walking on the stage representing yourself and country of course, I recommend every girl at least one time to take part in one of those events. By my example, I want to show another woman how to be confident, believe in your dreams and goals, face your fears and just become better versions of yourself. And I think for self confidence, it’s very important to go out from your comfort zone, and just try something new.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Julia in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I’m very honest, straightforward and positive person. Whenever I come to new place or event, I’m just trying to be myself and show my best, meeting new people and just enjoying the moment. So I think this qualities are difficult to find this days, that’s why it’s always important to stay by your side and be grateful for this amazing opportunity
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
You should be very confident and fearless, and of course don’t give up easily. Modelling world is very hard, competitive and cruel sometimes, so you must understand that it’s not an easy journey. Hopefully, right now there is a lot of brunches in modelling, parameters became more flexible than in the past, so it’s giving much more opportunity to work for different types of girls. The most important you should really like it, and seeing yourself doing it, not just being influenced by opinions of others, but yourself.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I don’t like the word- idol. In my opinion, there is no perfect people , we all have our good and bad qualities. If someone becomes inspired by my journey or experience, I’m very happy to hear that. The most important thing is not idolising someone, because you never know what is hiding under this beautiful pictures and videos. There is a lot of hard work, dedication, commitment and disappointment sometimes, but no one shows it. So you shouldn’t think that everything comes very easily and by luck.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
I was so terrified at my first photoshot, didn’t know what to do and how to pose, I was very shy and nervous. The same with beauty competition, I was rehearsing so much, so next day it was hard for me to walk even. But it’s first experience at the end, plus I’m very perfectionist person, so once I started something, I’m giving 100% of my time and energy to do my best
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
It’s very powerful. With one post or even a word you can influence on millions of people. So you should be very careful about what you show or write, because internet never forgets, and people will remind you about something that even happened years ago. In my opinion, social medias should inspire young generation and people in general to be more kind and respectful to others, be happy to the opportunity that they have, and motivate each others. It should be very friendly and inspiring community, with no negative attitude, jealousy or envy intentions
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I like Instagram mostly, so I’m more active there. I find it interesting to show something useful and share my experience to people, motivate and inspire them, give advice or suggestions if they needed. And of course stylish part of it it’s important for me, I like minimalistic pictures.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
My advice is to go out from your comfort zone and just try. Life is too short to miss amazing opportunities, and then regret it for the rest of your life. So even if it’s hard , it’s better to take a first step and see how does it go. Afterwords, you will be proud of yourself that you take a risk and don’t follow your fears
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
Everyone is unique and different, and there is a million opportunities to realise your potential. You shouldn’t compare yourself with someone else and never envy or be jealous because this feeling will just destroy you inside and will not help to achieve what you want. It’s important to know your strong sides and try to focus on them
12.- Julia, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
No, it’s not an easy journey for sure. Someone might think that modelling is just about being pretty and slim, but it’s not like that. It requires a lot of patience, dedication and hard work. It’s a very competitive world, and sometimes things are not working out the way as you expected, but you shouldn’t give up, and try, try and try again . Also your communication skills are very important, as long as your other personal qualities. You should carry some strong values, boundaries and intelligence. For me, I don’t give up easily and believe that every experience is a lesson, that I should learn and appreciate
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Yeah, I thought about it actually, even took a part in music videos and short episodes in movies. It’s a very different world, and you should have some natural talent to it, as long as a lot of patience and trials. But for sure, I would like to develop myself more in this industry, and who knows, maybe you see me playing on next Hollywood movie 😉
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I think that women nowadays are very powerful and decisive, there is nothing impossible for them . And I love it. It’s so nice to see how women achieving great success in business, science, IT, politics, sport, fashion etc. Im aware that it might be difficult in some countries to be independent due to some cultural and religious views, but with global network and social media’s more and more people changing their views and minds , also getting rid of stereotypes and one-way thinking.
15.- Julia, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is to become better version of myself every day, and try to do something useful for my family and the world . I wanna be proud of the things that I do and results that I accomplish . I’m grateful for the opportunities that I have and wonderful people that I’m surrounded with.
16.- Julia, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I absolutely adore travelling. Mostly I have visited European countries, and I’m in love with Italy and Spain. Turkey is wonderful, been there several times and each time discover something new in this country. In Greece there are also amazing places, especially for holidays it’s fantastic. I wanna visit some islands like Bali, Maldives or destinations like Mexico or Cuba, with totally different cultures than mine. If I would have an opportunity, I would travel 1 or 2 times each month, explore and enjoy new destinations and experiences.
