It is an honor to present from Lima – Peru, the talent and beauty : Pierina Rios Garcia – Model – Miss South America Peru 2023 Contestant. Pierina grants me a valuable interview and we know her now!!!!
Welcome Pierina Rios Garcia!!!!
1.- Pierina, you were born in Peru, what do you like about your hometown in Peru?
Thank you so much for having me. Let´s see… My dear Lima, definitely the neighborhood where I grew up takes first place. Beautiful houses with huge gardens and trees. I remember the scents of flowers and the games that I used to play with the boys from the neighborhood. Honestly, nothing is more habitable than a place where we have been happy.
2.- What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or does it give you a lot of joy?
I sing, play video games, play sports, read and I can’t stop writing. All of that keeps me ALIVE.
And people who love and respect animals make me smile, these beings give me joy.
3.- Model, Miss South America Peru 2023 Contestant, When do you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
Pierina is a girl who likes to do everything, haha. You will be able to see me carry out activities of all kinds. I started modeling at the beginning of 2021 as a small hobby, however, thanks to Miss South America Peru who trusted me and gave me the opportunity to fulfill my dream of competing in the final gala.
And on the other hand, definitely doing what you are passionate about leads to feeling a roller coaster of emotions inside you! Nothing good is easy… You need a lot of punche.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Pierina in each activity carried out as a person and model?
That whatever I do, I have delivered my full potential, period there is no more.
5.- What´s is the main virtue that any woman must have to be a model?
In my little experience as a model, it is vital to love you infinitely and unconditionally. You are going to go through many situations that will make you use logic and shed tears. In other words, be you. I will not go into food issues because my recommendation is that you opt for a nutritionist. Know your body, know your style, nourish yourself with valuable information. And this goes for men too.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
Thanks for the question. Today I have learned to value and congratulate my successes through my habits and meditation, of course I am aware of what I have achieved. I consider myself a young woman with dreams, like many others, and if in the future my community considers me a leader, they will have a leader. But hey, who knows…
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
Ooh! Haha, fortunately my first photo session was not disastrous, I believe that I got carried away by my attitude that day, but I was quite nervous inside. And entering a beauty pageant feels like being in a fairy tale, living in the moment and giving it your all.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Definitely the advancement of technology is amazing. Provides solutions to problems, for example, the labor market. Social media provide a lot of support. With this, many of us have managed to grow and make our vocation and our day-to-day work known.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I’m honestly not a social media girl in the sense that I don’t often share my personal life. I feel at peace keeping my things private… although to provide news, info, something else that is trending yes I would love to share. Let’s see, I have 3 favorite social networks. They are Pinterest, Spotify and Twitch.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
I would tell parents that each human being is born with an incomparable, unrepeatable talent. There is no word that describes a young person who feels supported, congratulated and loved. Believe in your children, I invite you to sit down and talk with the future of the country.
And to young people like me, I would advise them to keep the goal intact. It may be cliché advice for many, however, what better than doing what you love, than living off the approval of others. You are not wrong, you are not crazy, you are discovering your path.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
Our essence is what gives the painting the touch it needs, that is, there are no measures to reach, stereotypes to follow, bosses to impress. Let your attitude be your shield against the old-fashioned! And let creativity be your hallmark as a person…
12.- Pierina, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
There was really no difficulty in that yet, I put my style and my way to everything I represent and I feel free when I do it. There are obstacles, yes, and I fight to break them down. Be friends with people in the industry who are honest and want to help break stereotypes, and seek good advice from them.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Of course! new opportunities will be welcome. The artistic branch contains an endless number of specializations! So my options are open.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I affirm that women, throughout history, have struggled a lot to position themselves as a person with decision-making and access to power. And I am so thankful for that. I believe that every woman has an exceptional inner strength to get ahead despite the circumstances that each of us experience. So women, let’s move on, study, work hard, let´s shut up other people’s mouths, let’s innovate and a cold mind for power.
15.- Pierina, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My loved ones motivate me to believe in myself and I appreciate everything I have. Without sounding cliché but, when you get used to waking up and thanking for everything, you feel full. It is an act of self-love that has no comparison.
16.- Pierina, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from Peru?
I like to travel and come face to face with the unknown. I visited Brazil, Germany, the Czech Republic, Vienna, Italy, Slovakia and Austria. I would like to suddenly visit Eastern, Mediterranean countries, to show me the society that grows on the other side of the world.
On the other hand… landing in Peru, wow, the truth is that each region offers a lot. What you need to know is the artisans, farmers, and business people who bring their beautiful communities forward.
