It is an honor to present from the Netherlands, the natural beauty and talent of Patricia Ruurda, Curvy Model, official contestant for Miss & Mrs Perfect of the Year as Miss Netherlands.
Patricia gives me the privilege to answer the interview and we get to know the young woman, her thoughts, feelings, advice, beyond the beautiful girl and fashion.
Welcome Patricia Ruurda!!!
1.- Patricia, What do you like about your hometown?
My hometown was a place where you could walk in at your neighbours house and sit and eat with them without asking to .
2.- What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or does it give you a lot of joy?
I love to get creative wether Its making content or creating diy pieces for in my home .
I also like to paint and draw .
But dancing is a huge passion for me to .
3.- International Model, Miss Perfect of the Year 2023 Contestant . When do you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
Thats a good question ! I try to get myself out there and build a name for myself .
For this year i have Almost reached all my goals that where on my vision planner .
Getting recognised in the streets however to me is great but sometimes also a little scary.
Once you get a little famous theres almost no privacy left .
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Patricia in each activity carried out as a person and model?
Justice and equalness.
I always go out of my way to make people feel included. I have a strive for justice that sometimes gets me in trouble .
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
To be able to adapt to every evironment and staying unbothered with upcoming problems .
But also staying true to yourself .
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I actually have never stood still by that question .
Its really important to me .
Since Im writing a book to tell about my horrible past , I wanna show girls who have been in my shoes that everything is possible once you get your mindset right.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
I was very nervous and did not know what to do . It takes me Some time to warm up .
At the beauty pageant i felt happy but also nervous and verry exhausted. Beauty pageants take alot of time .
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
The power of social media is very big .
As mutch as i love to make content i also think it harms alot of people mentally.
People try to show Off on each other and the model pics for brands are often edited to get rid of small flaws. Its not fair for young girls to prepare themself to a professional taken picture that has been edited.
Sometimes i wish we could go back to the time digital phones didnt exist , people would interact alot more with eachother.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
My favoriete social media platform is Instagram .
I interact with them via my posts and polls.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
Just try ! No matter how scared you are . Embarrasment is part of life . Maybe you gonna fail but maybe you could also succeed, theres one way to find out . And you never know what might happend to you . Some changes are a one in a lifetime.
And my tip for parents would be : try to stimulate your children to practise more or maybe try to do the activity together .
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
Your first impression says alot .
And people do judge a book by Its cover .
12.- Patricia, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
It has not been easy . There goes alot of time in finding modelling jobs . Since Im curvy the skinny girls mostly get chosen. Theres alot of competition and you need to find a way to stand out .
I just keep trying new things to get more experience.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Yes, I would love to be an actrice, i love the entertainment industry!
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I hope more women get the change to experience such roles . Most women handle situations really Well even tho they are under stress .
15.- Patricia, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is to be famous one day and give my child the greatest youth.
Im thankfull for Every new day and change i get and for the health of me my child and family .
Im also thankfull for my Gods , they have supported me each and every day .
16.- Patricia, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from ur country?
I love to travel but i am verry scared to fly on an airplane … would love to visit : Bali , Dubai , Turky, spain, Italy, Norway, Denmark, England.
17.- You and me (Jaime William) are going to play ping pong, I will tell you one word and you will answer with another word that comes to your mind.
