In the eyes of Amanda van Wezel a pageant is way more than just a competition for a title. It is a stage that allows you to grow and to be heard. An experience that dares you to engage in challenges you didn’t even know were there. To share a story. Her story starts with a positive impact on mental health, and she is ready to use her beauty for impact.
Who is Amanda van Wezel?
Amanda van Wezel is a young entrepreneur (founder of TVM Allround & Platform Yes You Can) who is full of creativity. She models, she designs, she paints and she works out. Her favourite place is in the big open water.
‘’when I am on the water, if it is on my surfboard, on a boat, water-skiing or just swimming, there’s a place for me, just for me. A place to think, to be with myself and to listen to my inner voice.’’

She finds peace in the water because there’s no way for the outside world to reach her. There is a place just for her. She hopes everyone has a place like that. Her whole youth she was depressed, she didn’t know who she was and she was bullied a lot. Besides that, her family always tried to help her, but they were powerless.
In 2014 she lost a friend to suicide and in 2015 she tried to end her life herself. She was saved; this was a traumatic happening in her life. She doesn’t remember a lot from before this trauma. Two years after this happening she ended up in a wheelchair due to mental issues, and she has found her way to recovery. When for the first time her therapy worked, she told herself: Dear me, yes you can. She said it to herself over and over, to make the smallest things possible. She was afraid of everything. She used to think that her whole life she wouldn’t have a job, a partner or evolve as a person, just because she thought she couldn’t do it. There was a lack of faith in her body. Luckily she has found the light she has within her, and now she wants to share that light with the world.
“Dear Me, Yes You Can… I told myself after traumatic events, and now I am fulfilling my biggest dreams’’

Now Amanda says she is finally living. She is doing the things she loves, like being on stage or in front of the camera, being creative and if she gets the opportunity, she will grab it. Fear is not holding her back anymore. She is a big fan of cats; she has 4 cats and with her love for animals she actively supports her local animal shelter.
The one thing you can always wake her up for is a lukewarm can of coca cola and some good old Dutch cheese.
She works very hard on her company to coach and train people to peruse their dreams. mainly in lifestyle, modeling or pageantry, but sometimes on other life-happenings. She wants everyone to stop being afraid of their biggest dreams and start with the small things to make it happen. Even if the dream seems far away or even impossible, it is just a step closer if you start fighting your first battles. You must overcome your fears and anxieties; you must make the smallest steps to make the biggest impact. You must hold on when things fall apart and embrace the opportunity to start over. but most of all: you must enjoy the process towards it, because this is your growth, your strength and your path that will make you unique. The process is your success, not the achievement.

Miss Galaxy Netherlands 2026
Amanda participated in pageants many times, she even had an international experience before. She calls the stage her home, because being in the spotlight is her happy zone. In January 2026 she was called to be the first Miss Galaxy Netherlands 2026. This was an opportunity she immediately agreed on. As a miss she embraces the importance to inspire other people, to be the example for your society and use your voice, audience and platform to create a better world. Piece by piece, step by step. She believes that inspiring her audience to talk about mental health, and the impact of looking after each other will create an environment with more harmony.
As the first Miss Galaxy Netherlands, in the race to Miss Galaxy International she wants to be the example that a small matter of act, can create a big impact.
Amanda is determined to break the stigma of pageantry, where humanity think its all about beauty, and show them what real pageantry is like: Hard work, chasing dreams, boosting ladies confidences, create an advocacy and using your beauty for serious impact. Her impact: making you believe in YOU and making sure that she becomes the one thing that she missed out on in her dark days: An inspirational figure that talks about the truth and shows the raw along with the ways to success. This brings us to her advocacy.

Advocacy: Platform Yes You Can
Her advocacy is about a positive impact on mental health. She believes that everyone should be able to have low key access to self-care advice, and we should talk about the things that aren’t pretty, and how we overcome them to inspire those who are going through something.
Her platform Yes You Can has awareness products such as the Yes-You-Can bottle, where profits are used to help people make their dreams come true and support local charities. Her platform mainly focusses on a yes you can mindset with open interviews, accessible learning sessions, physical group trainings for life-valued skills and other beautiful ways to TALK ABOUT IT!
She supports the homeless shelter with fruits from the profits from her ‘’positive impact on mental health’’-awareness product line. Amanda wants to live in a society where we look up to and look after each other, care about each other and realise that we all deserve a fair chance. We can live in a society that is friendly for humans and animals.
Miss Galaxy International 2026
Amanda will compete for Miss Galaxy International in august 2026, San Antonio, Texas. She will travel there together with her team: Ms Galaxy Netherlands 2026, Gwenyth de With and Miss Teen Galaxy Netherlands 2026, Maud Tellekamp. A pageant held by Maria Torres. A pageant that uses women empowerment to show the world acts of kindness. While it involves traditional pageant elements like stage presentation and judged categories, Galaxy International also emphasizes personal growth, confidence, networking, and cultural exchange among participants. Delegates often make lifelong connections and represent their countries on the international stage. In San Antonio we’ll celebrate achievements and give it all to become the next Miss Galaxy International.

One last word:
Amanda wishes to inspire you, to believe in your capabilities because you can do way more than you think. Start small and dream big! Because Yes You Can.
