1.- Megan, tell me about the city where you were born and raised.,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born in Watford, England but moved to East Ayrshire, Scotland when I was 7 years old and moved to Falkirk with my partner in 2022. I loved growing up in East Ayrshire as I was never too far from the beach.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I enjoy swimming and exploring Scotland with my 2 dogs. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and they bring me a lot of joy.
3.-International Model, Ms Falkirk Galaxy 23/24 . When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I recently entered the world of beauty pageants. I entered in order to push myself out of my comfort zone. I have always struggled with social anxiety and insecurity about my body. I am still working to achieve my dream and hope to continue participating in beauty pageants. I am passionate about encouraging young women and helping them to conquer anxiety and form new supportive friendships.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Megan in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I would hope that each activity that I have carried out as a beauty queen shows that I am brave and that if I can do it then it’s possible for anyone.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
Confidence you have to believe in yourself and stay strong even when people are not being kind towards you.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I hope that I can be a worthy role model for young women. It is important to show young women that you can be girly and glittery while also being smart and working hard. It’s important to know who you are and to be caring and protecting towards one another. There is enough unkindness in this world without it coming from our friends.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
I was terrified the first time I arrived at the beauty pageant. Being surrounded by so many beautiful girls brought up a lot of insecurities for me. However after becoming friends with some of the other girls over the weekend my confidence grew and by the time I walked on stage in front of everyone I felt amazing and confidence.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
I think social media can have a very positive impact if used correctly. However it can also have negative consequences especially on young women as filters and editing can make you feel like you are not doing enough… it’s important to remember that social media is not real life.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I enjoy responding to messages and comments. My favourite social media for posting is Instagram however my favourite social media for scrolling is TikTok .
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
Young people – don’t let others discourage you and be brave. If you are under 18 years old discuss what you want with your parents and respect their decision, they want what is best for you and if they don’t think your ready to take the next step ask them what they think you could do in order to be ready.
Parents – privately figure out why you don’t support your child, work through your own feelings before making them know to your child. Be honest with them and talk openly about your feelings and try to understand their point of view.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
I have learnt that I am beautiful and even if I don’t look like a model in traditional standards I am learning to love myself. I have also learnt how to make friends and support other people. I have found something that I am passionate about and hope to be able to be part of for a long time.
12.- Megan, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
It had definitely not been easy. I really struggle with my self confidence and feeling good enough. I have also struggled with making connections and finding sponsorships as unfortunately the pageant industry does cost money and for this particular pageant I did have to fund myself.
13.- Are you actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I hope one day to be an actress. I have done some acting training.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
This question is quite political. Sadly yes there are societies where women are still abused and I hope that in the future these women will be able to find a safe place.
15.- Megan, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is that I want to be the kind of women that if I am lucky enough to have a daughter of my own that she can be proud of me and not have to struggle with as much anxiety as I have in my life.
I am greatful that I have a partner and friends who support me and encourage me in everything that I do.
16.- Megan, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I love to travel. I have been to many countries in my 28years on earth and I even lived in Spain for a short time.
I have visited: Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia, Portugal, France, canary Islands, Canada and the United States.
I would love to visit new Zealand, Japan, Italy, Norway and many others.
I recommend visiting the Scottish Highlands, Shetland and Orkney.
