Her story is an inspiration to many, and her career path is a testament to perseverance and dedication.
From humble beginnings, Kristy has proven that faith and determination can overcome any obstacle.
Her titles are a testament to her excellence and discipline. Without a doubt, her story is a reminder that beauty goes beyond the physical and that true success lies in inner strength and unwavering faith.
1.- Kristy, you were born inUSA, What do you like about your hometown in USA?
I was actually born in Canada, but came to the United States when I was young. Both my Canadian hometown and the town I lived in when I came to the United States, were small towns with friendly people. It was lovely to have people be able to greet you by name on Main Street.
2.- What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or does it give you a lot of joy?
My hobbies include spending time with my loved ones, dancing, painting, shopping, and collecting anything related to mermaids.
Sharing my faith and helping people and animals gives my joy. I also love being near the ocean.
3.- Model – Worlds Miss Tourism Legacy 2024 – Reigning Mrs. Universe 2024 – When do you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I was sick for a long time. When I finally went into remission, I realized I’d been given a second chance at life. So, in my late forties, I decided to become a model and enter the pageant world. I’m so glad I did, and I hope and pray other ladies will be inspired by my journey.
You are never “too old” to pursue your dreams.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Kristy in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I put my heart and soul into everything I do. I am blessed beyond measure, and grateful for my blessings. I want to share that with others.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
Sincerity and confidence!
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I take this very seriously. What I say, how I say it, how I dress, how I carry myself, etc. can all have an impact on young girls and ladies. I want to be a positive role model for others, by being kind, caring, sincere, and modest.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
My first time modeling was at a photoshoot in Dallas. I was like, “Wow! Thank You, Lord! I can’t believe this is really happening.”
There were cameras and bright lights and big fans blowing air everywhere. It was exciting and fun and a little scary, but I loved it.
I joined the Miss Tourism Pageant family and absolutely love it. I was nervous at first because I had seen movies that portrayed the negative side of pageantry – gossip, jealously, etc.
The Tourism Pageant family is not like that at all. I was warmly welcomed by the amazing director, Teri Alexander, and all the other lovely queens, from day one.
Being a model and beauty queen are my dreams-come-true.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
The power of social media is almost unstoppable, which can be a little scary and overwhelming if not used correctly.
If used for good, it can be a blessing.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I post regularly on Facebook, both on my page and through my pageant’s page. I enjoy interacting with friends, fans, and followers, and always keep things positive.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
If you never try, you will never know if you can succeed, and it would be a shame to live with the regret of never trying.
Even if you try something new, like modeling or pageantry, and it does not work out, it can be a learning experience.
I would advise parents who don’t support their children’s talents to think about why they don’t support them. Do your research, talk to successful people in your child’s desired field / industry, and ask lots of questions.
Once you have more information, hopefully you’ll be able to feel comfortable supporting your child in pursuing their dreams.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
I’ve learned, from the worlds of fashion and beauty pageants, that each person has something beautiful and unique to offer the world, and we should each do so with confidence!
12.- Kristy, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
Being a model and pageant queen has not been easy, but it has been worth it. I’m dealing with a serious illness, so I have to be extra careful not to overdo things, because of my health.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I’ve starred in a few commercials. I enjoyed them, but am happier as a fashion and commercial print model. That’s a much better fit for me.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
It breaks my heart that anyone would have to endure any type of abuse, and I hope and pray enough people will stand up beside them, to support them, and keep them safe.
15.- Kristy, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
I’m motivated by my faith in Jesus, my amazing family and friends, helping shelter animals in need through my pageant platform, #fureverloved, and finding the joy and laughter in each day.
16.- Kristy, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from USA?
I love to travel, and used to travel a lot. When I got sick, I had to stick close to home. Now that I’m in remission, I hope to “take to the skies” again soon. I absolutely love the Caribbean, Latin America, Germany, and France.
I want to visit Iceland and Australia.
