1. – Jayda, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. What do you like about your hometown?
I was born in a small town in Noord-Brabant, called Helmond. When I was six, my family moved to Eindhoven to be closer to relatives. I’ve always had a deep connection to my roots and family, and Eindhoven has been home ever since. I grew up in a region with both rich history and modern innovation. I admire the innovative environment here, which is where companies like Philips and the legacy of Vincent van Gogh thrive. The blend of tradition and innovation makes it a great place to grow and learn. While I’ve always dreamt of the Caribbean, where my roots are from, I’ve come to appreciate the Netherlands for what it offers.
2.- What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I love the simple joys of life. Whether it’s taking a dance class with a friend, having a nice meal with my boyfriend, or just chatting with loved ones. They truly make me laugh and feel fulfilled. Growing up in a multicultural environment, I’ve always been surrounded by different traditions, and I enjoy celebrating those aspects through things like summer carnivals. Joy for me comes from creativity and connection, whether through dancing, music, or just being with the people I care about.
3. – International Model, Miss Beauty of Noord-Brabant 2025 Finalist. When did you first decide to take the leap into modeling and beauty pageants? How does it feel to achieve your dreams, passions, and become a recognized influencer?
I always admired strong women who were not just defined by their looks but by their hearts and their messages. When I had the chance to compete in Miss Beauty of Noord-Brabant 2025, I knew it was a chance to grow in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Achieving this dream feels incredible. It’s the combination of excitement, pride, and gratitude that pushes me to keep striving.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Jayda in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I would say it’s my authenticity. I truly believe in being real with myself and with others whether I’m modeling, participating in a beauty pageant, or just living my everyday life. I’m a creative thinker and I love finding solutions to challenges. My directness is a trait I’m proud of, and it’s something that really comes from my Dutch core. It helps me stay grounded and true to myself, no matter where life takes me. I’m always open to learning, and I push myself to grow, not only in my professional life but in all aspects of who I am.
5.- What´s is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an to be an international model?
A successful international model doesn’t just rely on her looks, she also needs to have emotional intelligence and empathy. It’s about connecting with others, embracing your individuality, and being confident in who you are. Open-mindedness, self-confidence and the courage to be yourself are essential to stand out in the modeling world.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
Yes, I’m very aware of the impact I have. Just like I was inspired by other women growing up, I want to show others that no dream is too big. No obstacle is too great if you stay true to yourself and keep pushing forward. Being a role model isn’t just about being in the spotlight, it’s about being a beacon of hope and strength for others.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
My first modeling experience was when I was five, doing a shoot for Intertoys. I wasn’t exactly the stillest model at that age, but it was fun! I remember my aunt having to feed me gingerbread buttons to keep me still—it was a bit chaotic but also so much fun. When I first entered a beauty pageant, I was nervous but excited at the same time. Each moment on stage pushed me to embrace my nerves and turn them into energy to perform better. It’s an amazing feeling to step outside your comfort zone and grow from it.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social media is a powerful tool! It’s incredible how it connects people from all around the world and allows us to share creativity. These platforms empower individuals to tell their own stories. But it’s also important to maintain a healthy balance. Social media should be a platform for sharing, inspiring, and connecting, not a place where we lose ourselves. I love using it as a way to connect with my followers but I also make sure to take time for real-world experiences.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? What’s your favorite social media?
Instagram and Pinterest are my absolute favorites. They both fuel my creativity. I love sharing my journey, insights, and whatever sparks joy in me. I enjoy engaging in meaningful conversations and answering questions from my followers. It’s a place where I can hopefully inspire others to keep going after their dreams.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What advice would you give to parents who don’t support their children’s talents?
To young people, I would say: don’t wait for the perfect moment, start now. Taking that first step can feel daunting, but it’s the only way to move forward. Every experience, whether it’s a success or a failure, teaches you something valuable. For parents, I would suggest keeping an open heart and mind. Supporting your child’s passions, even if they seem unconventional, can open doors to their true potential. Let them explore and discover who they are, it’s not just about success but about growth and self-discovery.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of self-awareness. Know who you are and stand confidently in your beliefs. It’s not about trying to fit into a mold; it’s about embracing your uniqueness. Fashion and pageants have also taught me the value of persistence and resilience. The journey isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it when you stay true to your purpose.
12.- Jayda, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
Being a model hasn’t always been easy. There have definitely been obstacles, especially in the beginning when I struggled with self-doubt. But each challenge helped me grow stronger. I learned to embrace my insecurities and turn them into strengths. It’s about trusting yourself, focusing on your goals and not letting fear hold you back. Success isn’t about never facing obstacles; it’s about how you handle them.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I’ve definitely thought about acting! My love for photography and being in front of the camera has made me curious about storytelling through acting. The entertainment industry fascinates me because it allows you to express yourself in so many creative ways. For now, my focus is still on modeling and pageants, but who knows? I’m open to new opportunities and challenges!
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies they are still abused. What is your opinion the role of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Women have always been strong and their power is undeniable. Even in societies where women are oppressed, they continue to show incredible resilience. I believe the future is bright for women, no matter where they are. As we push for equality, we’re breaking down barriers and creating space for more women to thrive. It’s about solidarity, empowerment, and the unbreakable strength of women everywhere.
15.- Jayda, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation comes from a desire to learn, grow, and make a positive impact on others. I’m deeply grateful for the love and support from my family, my friends, and the opportunities I’ve had. Every day is a new opportunity to work toward my dreams. I’m thankful for every step of the journey.
16.- Jayda, do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I absolutely love to travel! I’ve been lucky enough to visit beautiful places like Curacao, Gambia, Egypt, Portugal, Cyprus, Greece, and Italy. I’m always eager to explore new destinations.
