1.- Helena, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born in the Netherlands, but when I was five, we moved to Germany, where I lived for 13 years. It was a special time, and I have many wonderful memories from there. This year, I moved back to the Netherlands because I started studying in Groningen. It feels great to be back and to start a new chapter in my life while carrying the experiences from both countries with me. What I like about my hometown is that it’s very quiet. There’s a lot of flat land and it’s very green.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I love being creative, I enjoy drawing, painting, and making things. I also really enjoy making music. Singing makes me happy, and I love laughing and spending time with friends.
3.- International Model – Miss Beauty of Groningen 2025 Finalist . When did you decide to take your first steps as a model ? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I was scouted, and I thought, YOLO, why not? I had nothing to lose. It sounded like such a fun opportunity, and I love trying new things, meeting new people, and making new friends and connections. I’ve always found beauty pageants so fascinating, and this felt like THE chance to be part of something I’ve admired for so long!
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Helena in each activity carried out as a model?
I believe my unique stamp as a model is my genuine enthusiasm and authenticity. I bring a positive energy to everything I do, and I always approach new challenges with an open mind. I’m also passionate about being environmentally conscious and try to incorporate sustainability into my work whenever possible. My creativity and willingness to try new things help me stand out, as I’m always looking for ways to grow and improve while staying true to myself.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be a model?
I think one of the most important virtue a woman must have to be a model is confidence. It allows her to embrace her uniqueness and perform with poise in front of the camera. Confidence also helps her handle challenges like rejection and criticism. Additionally, empathy plays a key role, as it helps models connect with others and express emotions effectively.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I’m aware that being in this position comes with a lot of responsibility, and I truly appreciate the opportunity to inspire others. It’s important to me to show young girls and teenagers that being yourself and staying true to your values is the most powerful thing you can do. I want to encourage them to pursue their dreams, whether in modeling or something realy different, and to do so with confidence and integrity.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera?
I was so happy! It was the best feeling ever. I had such great photographers who made me feel very confident (you can find them under my vote photo on my Instagram profile). When I drove home that day, I thought, ‘This is exactly what I want to do. This is me!’
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
I think social media today has a lot of power and it can be incredibly positive when used to connect people, share creativity, and spread awareness about important causes. However, it could also create unrealistic expectations and sometimes presents only the good sides of life, which could lead to a distorted image. There’s also a lot of fake news out there, so it’s also important to stay critical and use social media responsibly.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I love interacting with my followers on Instagram. I enjoy posting on my story and sharing what I’m doing or have done. I also really like answering questions from my followers and friends. It’s important to me to be helpful and I love doing it.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
I would advise young people with talent to believe in themselves and take that first leap, even if it feels scary. Growth happens when you push past your fears and take those risks. And for parents who don’t support their children, I would encourage them to recognize the value of their children’s passions, even if they don’t fully understand them. Supporting a child’s dreams helps them build confidence and find fulfillment, and can lead to great things.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion ?
I haven’t learned a lot yet from the world of fashion, but I learned about the importance of confidence and staying true to yourself. Fashion is not just about clothes; it’s about expressing who you are and embracing your individuality.
12.- Helena, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
There haven’t been a lot of obstacles yet, only some moments of self-doubt. I have surround myself with supportive people who help boost my confidence. Trusting in myself and my abilities has been key to overcoming challenges. It’s not always smooth, but staying focused and believing in my journey has helped me push through the tough moments.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Yes, I used to when I was a kid! It seems like a lot of fun, and I think the entertainment industry has a lot of exciting opportunities. Acting would be a new challenge, but I’d definitely be open to exploring it in the future.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
While there are still obstacles, I believe the future holds more opportunities for women to lead, inspire, and bring about positive change in every society. Support from both men and women is key to creating a future where women are treated equally and with respect.
15.- Helena, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
