Thank you so much for accepting our interview. It’s a great honor to have an international model, Miss Global contestant and a world influencer.
– Thank you very much for your interest. It is my pleasure being interviewed by you.
1.- Irina, You were born in Moldova – what do you like about your hometown?
– My hometown holds a special place in my heart. It’s a small town, the population consists of just 400 people. Although I currently live between London and UAE, I come home any time I need to recharge my soul. It’s an amazing place for a mental and spiritual detox.
2.- What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
– I am passionate about swimming, dancing, psychology, and personal development. Spending time with my loved ones, exploring new places, and helping others also bring me immense joy.
3.- Miss Global Moldova, When did you decide to take your first steps as a model in beauty pageants? How does it make you feel when you achieve your dreams? How does it make you feel being a recognized role model today?
My interest in modeling began during my teenage years.
I’ve had this dream of participating in an international beauty contest for a long time. I took the decision once I realised that confidence comes from within. I’m ok to compete with 80 most beautiful ladies from all around the world – these women are my inspiration, not my competition! I’m ok to wear the official sash and represent my whole country!
Achieving my goals and pursuing my passions has been an incredibly rewarding journey. It fills me with immense gratitude to have all the support from my Moldovan conationals, and from all Miss Global fans we met in Vietnam and Cambodia during these 3 weeks.
4.- What do you think is your distinctive, unique stamp in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and a model?
I strive to bring authenticity, dedication, and a positive spirit to everything I do.
5.- What is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internationally recognized beauty queen?
While physical appearance plays a role, the most important quality is inner strength. It takes resilience, discipline, and a positive attitude to achieve your dreams. Kindness and willingness to contribute to the various charity projects, and obviously a confident «I can do» attitude.
6.- How does it make you feel to be an influential woman and a role model for many young girls?
I am humbled and grateful to be considered a role model. It’s a responsibility I take seriously. I am incredibly proud to be a part of Miss Global platform – a platform that aligns with my core values. I believe in promoting women empowerment and women independence, and giving back to the community.
7.- What did you feel when participating in the beauty pageant for the first time? How did you feel in front of the video camera?
I was extremely excited! After multiple sleepless nights, when I stepped onto Miss Global stage, I realised «WOW, my dream came true!». All the effort was worth it. That unforgettable moment fulfilled me with a lot of positive emotions and lifetime memories!
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social media is a powerful tool for connection, communication, and raising awareness. However, it’s crucial to maintain a healthy balance.
9.- How do you prefer interacting with your followers on social media? What is your favorite social media?
I enjoy sharing my life memories on social media. I find Instagram to be particularly relevant for the type of content I share.
10.- What would you advise to young people that have talent but do not dare to take the next steps? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
To the youngsters, I say – believe in yourself, embrace your talent, and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Even if you face rejection or setbacks, remember that perseverance and hard work are key to success. To the parents, I urge you to nurture your children’s passions and provide them with the encouragement and support they need to thrive. Remember, their dreams are worth believing in.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
The industry has taught me the importance of discipline, self-confidence, and resilience. And most important, gratefully to immense reciprocal support between Miss Global contestants, I’ve learnt that other women are not your competition. You must be better than you were yesterday, not better than others!
12.- Irina, was it easy participating in a beauty pageant? Were there any obstacles? How did you overcome them?
There are challenges in any industry. Most important is once you set your goals – never give up! Obstacles are often stepping stones to success, and overcoming them can make you stronger and more determined. The bigger are goals – the bigger are obstacles – and the bigger are rewards!
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
While I haven’t actively pursued acting, I appreciate the artistry and dedication it requires. The entertainment industry is a fascinating one, and I’m open to exploring opportunities that align with my values and aspirations.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
It’s inspiring to witness the progress women are making globally. However, the continued existence of gender-based discrimination in certain societies is unacceptable. To empower women in these regions, we need focused efforts on education, access to resources, and raising awareness about their rights. By supporting initiatives that promote gender equality and social justice, we can pave the way for a future where women hold their rightful place in society, free from any sort of discrimination.
15.- Irina, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
If you truly love what you are doing – the motivation comes naturally. During all 3 weeks of the Miss Global contest, we barely had 3-4 hours of sleep every night. It was physically exhausting – long hours of rehearsals on high heels, long journeys by buses and planes, various events one straight after another. Yet, we made it, gratefully to the enthusiasm and inspiration! It’s the excitementt that kept us moving!
16.- Irina, do you like to travel? Which countries have you visited before? Which other countries would you like to discover and which places would you recommend to visit?
I love travelling and I do it on the regular! So far, I have had about 40 trips to 15 different countries. I visited France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, UK, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Egypt, UAE, Oman, Maldives, Vietnam, Cambodia.
My next countries on the bucket list are Indonesia (Bali), Turkey, USA (Hawaii) and Monaco. I would also like to revisit some of the countries I’ve been to before, as I have friends all around the world. We are also considering organising a trip with some of the Miss Global contestants some day!
I strongly recommend everyone to travel as much as possible, to discover different parts of the world. Travelling is a great source of inspiration!
