Welcome Brigitte Ortiz!
1.- Brigitte, you were born inUSA, What do you like about your hometown in USA?
Being in a Colombian family in Texas is pretty fun! I love how there are so many places to go in Texas, but the weather can be everywhere sometimes. I was born in Texas but my family is from Colombian food is honestly amazing!
2.- What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or does it give you a lot of joy?
I have a lot of fun hobbies! I really enjoy working out, traveling, Painting, And creating content for my viewers! I also own a cosmetic line called BG Royal Cosmetics. Something that makes me laugh is my friends! We always have such a great time together!
3.- International Model, When do you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
Modeling and acting wasn’t always my dream, until my mother put me in a class one day! And from there, I took off! I was very shy but the industry grew on me. I learned so much! Since I was 13, I was always into fashion and the arts. Modeling was just the right fit for me! I started acting which is one of my main focuses as well. A feeling I would get achieving my goals is an amazing feeling, because I work hard. Believing in myself when a lot of people didn’t. So seeing my success now is like a dream. Thanks to my family, supporters, and God. Being recognized in this industry and meeting so many amazing models, actors, people, and supporters, I have learned so much and made great connections with! Being a Influencer woman today is so great! I want to inspire people to go after their dreams, have self confidence, and be unstoppable! It’s possible.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Brigitte in each activity carried out as a person and model?
My bravery and kindness! People that meet me always say I’m so fun, and easy to hang around. I make them feel comfortable and joyful. My Bravery helps me Achieve so much in life. A quote I live by is “what if it doesn’t come true? ah, but what if it does?” that has always stuck with me.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
Confidence
Modeling isn’t just about the way you look. But the way you hold yourself, how you stand out, your confidence.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
Yes I am definitely aware. Influencing others to go after the things they want in life, has always been a goal of mine. I want people to know that it is possible, your dreams can become your reality. inspiring my supporters, and having people say I inspire them, is a bittersweet feeling.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
My first time modeling with scary! I was also very shy back then so my first time was out of my comfort zone. But I was willing to give it a shot. Now, I want to be the center of attention! Eyes on me. I love being in front of the camera. The feeling is so unique and interesting, sometimes I get butterflies just the thought of it. It’s exciting!
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social Media has made a big impact. It’s easier to connect with new people from all around the world. Make friends! And get exposure. Social media now is a great tool, because anyone Can have it. Social media allows opportunities and access to everyone!
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I enjoy Instagram! Instagram is a great place to meet people and get exposure. Most of my friends are on Instagram. I like Facebook too! There are so many groups to join, and people with the same goals as you! Tiktok as well It’s really good to get out there. But Instagram is definitely my place.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
If you know you have talent, use it! If you don’t know your talent yet, you will find it! Everyone is unique, and has something special to give to this world. Don’t be afraid to be fearless. Being fearless will get you places. Don’t let fear hold you back. One day you will thank yourself for that one risk you took. it will either work out or it won’t, that’s life. And that’s okay. If you don’t try you will never know. Theirs nothing more beautiful or enticing then the person who goes after what they want in life.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
The industry isn’t as glamorous as it seems at times. There are sacrifices you have to make. Weather it involves money to invest in your dream, or moving to a different Country. You can’t bring everyone with you on this journey, people will get left behind. As sad as it is, the people that are meant to be in your future will be there. You will have people hate on you, distract you from reaching your full potential, don’t let them bring you down. Also Beware of scams, this industry has many scams for people to trick you. So please do your research!
12.- Brigitte, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
At first I had a few obstacles, tying to get known in the industry I’d say not easy, but not impossible either. I had a lot of no’s said to me then yes In my life. Mainly in acting, because a producer may be looking for a certain look for their character, which can be disappointing. Pushing forward was a hard obstacle of mine. At one Point, you get tired, you get weak. I was always able to get back up when things brought me down. I did not take no for an answer. My mother always told me “There will be 100 no’s, but all you need is one yes”, and that one yes will take you to your dreams. I never gave up. I Still have many goals to catch.
13.- Are u an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Yes! I’m not only a model but also an actress! I have done films , shows, and live action theatre. Every industry has their downsides, but I love the acting industry, experiencing being on sets, embodying a character, is an amazing feeling. You can be whoever you want in acting.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Seeing woman of color starting to get big roles in movies and tv is amazing! Society has always brought people of color down, now color is a big thing in a positive way! Even though racism is still very much here, and alive. Seeing producers bring equality to their big projects, that woman of color couldn’t have before, is such a wonderful thing. Every race deserves equality. Seeing woman/men of color being apart of things as well, is so amazing. In my opinion Everyone deserves an opportunity no matter what race!
15.- Brigitte, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is My family, my family always motivates me to do better in life! They are always there for me when I need them the most. Not only my family, but I love to support people in pursuing their dreams. Seeing people succeed really motivates me! Makes me so happy for them. Always a reminder that if they did it, you can do it too! I feel grateful to have a supporting family. I’m grateful to be blessed and living for God. I am religious so God is a big part of my life! I am so grateful for everything and everyone that supports me. Lastly I am grateful to be alive at this moment!
16.- Brigitte, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from Colombia?
I love traveling, seeing parts of the world that I have never seen is a whole different experience, So exciting! That’s One of my hobbies, since I am an international model. So far the only places I have traveled to is New York City, Dallas, Texas, North Carolina, Colombia and Miami. I plan on traveling to more places! I would really love to know Paris, LA, Alaska, Hawaii, and much more! In Colombia I recommend you go see part of Cali the food is amazing and beautiful places to swim. so beautiful!
