1.– Sitarani, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
Christchurch, New Zealand, known as the «Garden City,» is a charming and relaxed place to call home. Despite being the third-largest city in the country, Christchurch maintains a tranquil atmosphere with its lush gardens, like the Botanic Gardens, and the scenic Avon River flowing through the city.
The city’s appeal extends to its stunning coastal areas, including popular beaches like New Brighton and Sumner, perfect for outdoor activities and relaxation just a short distance from the city center.
Christchurch’s natural beauty, welcoming community, and laid-back lifestyle makes it an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful yet vibrant experience in New Zealand which is why I am honored to call it my home.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
My hobbies are a mix of creativity and connection. I find joy in singing, sketching, and diving into captivating books. There’s also nothing like cuddling up with my adorable puppy! Those moments are pure bliss.
I cherish time with friends, whether it’s catching up over coffee or exploring the scenic wonders of the South Island of New Zealand. Traveling around fills me with inspiration and awe.
3.- Model. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I decided to take my first steps into modeling when I was 12 years old after completing a modeling course. Modeling was a passion of mine from a young age, and I was determined to pursue it wholeheartedly.
Achieving my dream of becoming a recognized influencer and model brings me immense pride. It’s a validation of the hard work and dedication I’ve put into this path. However, I also recognize that there’s still a long journey ahead of me. I’m excited for what the future holds and am grateful for the support along the way.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Sitarani in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I believe the distinctive stamp of my work as a beauty queen and model lies in my effort to be relatable to everyone and stay true to myself. Putting others first and approaching everything with empathy are my core strengths, shaping my interactions and endeavors.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
In my view, one of the key virtues essential for any woman aspiring to be an international model is resilience. Alongside resilience, empathy and kindness are equally important qualities. The modeling industry demands not only the ability to persevere through challenges and stay focused on goals but also a genuine empathy for others and a kind approach to interactions. Adaptability to different situations is also crucial in navigating the complexities of this competitive field.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
It’s an honor to be seen as an influential figure for girls and teenagers aspiring to be models. I believe it’s important for the younger generation to understand that nobody is perfect, including those in the public eye. I strive to be relatable and authentic, hoping to inspire others by sharing my experiences and lessons learned along the way.
Rather than viewing myself solely as an influencer, I see my role more as that of a teacher and role model. My goal is to empower and encourage young individuals to pursue their dreams while staying true to themselves.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera?
The first time I modeled in front of a video camera, I felt a mix of terror, self-doubt, and self-criticism. It was definitely a challenging experience, but with time and practice, I gained more confidence and learned to embrace the process.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
The power of social media today is immense and transformative. It has revolutionized how we connect, communicate, and share information globally. Social media offers incredible opportunities for networking, self-expression, and influencing positive change. However, it also comes with responsibilities and challenges, emphasizing the importance of using this platform thoughtfully and ethically.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I love interacting with my followers on Instagram! It’s my favorite social media platform because it allows me to share moments of my life and connect with my audience through photos, videos, and stories. I enjoy engaging with followers through comments, direct messages, and live sessions, creating a genuine and personal connection.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
For young people with talent but who hesitate to take the next step, I would advise starting small and building confidence gradually. Set achievable goals, seek guidance from mentors, and surround yourself with supportive peers. Remember, it’s okay to feel nervous. It’s part of the journey toward growth and success.
To parents who may not support their children’s talents, I would suggest having an open and understanding conversation. Encourage them to explore their passions and offer constructive feedback. Supporting their interests can nurture their self-esteem and help them thrive in pursuing their dreams.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion?
From the world of fashion, I’ve learned important lessons about resilience, creativity, and self-expression. It has taught me the value of embracing diversity, staying adaptable to change, and always staying true to my unique style and identity.
12.- Sitarani, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
Being a model has definitely had its challenges. I’ve faced setbacks, self-doubt, and criticism along the way. However, I’ve overcome these obstacles by surrounding myself with supportive people who encourage me to keep going. I also make connections and reach out to others in the industry, even when it seems daunting. Learning to handle rejection has been part of the journey, but it’s all part of the job.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I’ve always admired the entertainment industry, and as a child, I dreamed of becoming a Bollywood actress. I have a deep love for Bollywood films, and this dream continues to inspire me today. Becoming an actress is definitely something I aspire to achieve.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
The evolving role of women globally is inspiring, yet we acknowledge that challenges persist in societies where women face abuse. Looking ahead, I believe in the potential for positive change and empowerment. Education, advocacy, and societal reforms are key to shaping a future where women are respected, protected, and given equal opportunities to thrive.
15.- Sitarani, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation comes from the love and support of my family, partner, friends, and followers. They inspire me to keep pushing forward every day and for that I am grateful. Additionally, I find motivation in constructive criticism from others, it fuels my desire to improve and become the best version of myself.
16.- Sitarani, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I absolutely love to travel! I’ve had the opportunity to visit Fiji multiple times, India twice, Hong Kong, and explore the beautiful South Island of New Zealand. My dream is to visit Greece and travel around Europe, immersing myself in diverse cultures for up to a year.
In New Zealand, one of my favorite spots is Lake Tekapo in the South Island. It’s incredibly picturesque, with relaxing hot pools and a stunning star-gazing observatory. There are countless other breathtaking places in New Zealand, each offering its own unique beauty and charm.
