It is an honor to present from Split – Croatia the talent and beauty of Vanesa Zoraja Grgic, a teen model with international projection. Vanesa is not only a revelation for those of us who are immersed in the world of fashion, she is a real beauty and I hope she can be on international catwalks soon.
Vanesa gave me a wonderful interview and it’s time to meet her.
Welcome princess Vanesa Zoraja Grgic !!!
1.- Vanesa , you were born in Croatia ,What do you like about your hometown in Croatia? What are your hobbies?
I live in Split, a beautiful city by the Adriatic Sea. In my city I like the climate, beaches, people … In my free time I hang out with my friends, my family and my pets, watch movies and series, read books … In the summer I spend a lot of time on the beach, I really like to swim in the sea.
2.- What makes you laugh a lot or does it give you a lot of joy?
I try to find joy in many things. What makes me happiest is my family, my friends, my pets and when I see someone else happy. I laugh the most at the funny things my pets do. I often like to laugh at myself and some of my actions that may not be thought out enough. Then my mom tells me “why are you laughing, it’s not funny,” but I say it’s a better option to turn it into a joke than to drive yourself crazy about it.
3.- Young Model When do you decide to take your first steps as a model? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I haven’t been involved in modeling for a very long time, the first steps were in January 2021. I ran into the royal models agency via instagram and thought «I’m going to try, I have nothing to lose». I am satisfied with my progress so far.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Vanesa in each activity carried out as a person and model?
That I’m trying to learn something from everything. That could help me in the future.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
Perseverance and self-confidence.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I’m always glad if I can be a good example to someone for something good.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
Of course, a little nervousness appears every first time, that’s completely normal. My nervousness was not overly pronounced and I tried to be relaxed.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
I think social networks are more powerful than we realize. That is why it is very important that we use it carefully and thoughtfully and that we do not blindly believe everything that someone says on the internet.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I communicate with my followers via Instagram, and with my friends mostly via Whatsapp. Still, my favorite type of communication is face-to-face.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
I would advise them to believe in themselves and their abilities even when no one else believes. I would tell parents to never forget that their role in their children’s lives is huge and that they should allow their children to be their own and unique because it will make it easier for them to become mature and self-confident adults.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion?
Never lose faith in yourself and never buy uncomfortable heels!
12.- Vanesa, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
Obstacles are an integral part of life and the sooner we learn that the easier it will be to deal with them.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Yes, I’d really like to try.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I think we all need to work together to show the world that women are hardworking, powerful, intelligent and ingenious. But first we have to prove it to them – women. Teach them to love themselves, believe in themselves and not bother to fit into meaningless molds.
15.- Vanesa, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My family, friends, pets, mine and their health, educational experiences and lessons, all the people who taught me something, all the people I helped with something … I am constantly trying to find things I can be grateful for and it will give me motivation to move on.
16.- Vanesa Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from Croatia?
Whenever I have the opportunity I like to travel to some interesting place in my country or in another country. One of my favorite trips is still my three-week trip to Thailand that I went on when I was five years old. There are many wonderful places to see in Croatia. There are many beautiful beaches in coastal towns, Croatian islands, Slavonian plains, national parks, beautiful Zagreb – the capital of Croatia… and much more.
