1.- Valentina, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
Hey, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!
I was born in a lovely little village in Kazakhstan called Peremetnoye. I lived with my biological mom for the first two years of my life, and then the police came and took me to an orphanage. I lived there until I was four years old. In 2007, I was adopted by a lovely young German couple, and I’ve been living in Germany for 17 years now in a beautiful village in the countryside. I’m really sorry, but I don’t have any memories of my childhood in Kazakhstan. I just love the nature here! We’re lucky to have so many fields and forests! We have a farm at home, so we’re really close to nature and animals. That’s what I love most of all!
2.- International Model, Miss Planet International Germany 2024. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
This year, I took my first steps after a dear friend I’ve spent a lot of time with in the last few months told me that I should send my photos out into the world to agencies and people in the modeling industry. After getting the green light and feeling like I had the support I needed, I decided to go for it and apply. I got some great feedback from scouts and agents really quickly, so I was offered a modeling contract pretty soon after. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of walking the catwalk several times, and there are currently many fashion shoot projects planned for 2025. I’m really excited to present myself at the German Nuremberg fashion show in September this year, especially for the New York fashion show for Prada and Tom Ford. It’s such an honor! This is especially exciting for someone who is still pretty new to the industry.
Sometimes it all feels very unreal because I ask myself how far I’m really going to get. But I’m not worried about that because I know that if you have a goal and a dream, it’s not going to fall from the sky. You have to work hard for it, and I’m sure you will! But the more you come into the public eye as a model or as Miss Planet Germany 2024, the more people start to say negative things or think that you won’t achieve your goal. It’s so sad when they call me crazy! But I always say to myself: “You’ve survived the toughest battles, and you’ve come out on top! Now, set your mind to your dreams! Keep on rising and shining!
3.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Valentina in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
It’s all me, my crazy, my outlook on life, and how I handle tough situations. It’s also my energy! I try to support people as much as I can and cheer them on, because I believe in them and I know they can do it! This is especially important in the modeling industry and with beauty queens. We have to learn to be happy for other people, even if we might lose. And at the end of the day, life is all about the new friends, experiences, and shared memories we create together.
4.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
For me, it all started with a passion for modeling and fashion. But you also need to be disciplined, have a fighting spirit, and be passionate! It’s totally normal to get a lot of rejections at the beginning or throughout your entire modeling career. And remember, just because this one didn’t work out, it doesn’t mean it won’t work out the next time. So, my dear friend, you just have to keep at it, build up your contacts, and have the courage to show yourself. We live in a modern age where the classic model is no longer the center of attention, but rather people from all ethnicities, with a wide variety of looks. It’s so great to see! I also think that’s exactly right and beautiful.
5.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers
I’m really sorry, but I don’t think about it much because I don’t have that much reach on social media. It’s so great if you can offer tips and support to other young talents! However, my basic attitude is to act as a role model and a person of respect towards others. I’m always happy to help other young people with my own experiences and tips when they talk to me or ask me questions.
6.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
I was just really happy and thought to myself, “Oh, this is so great!” “I’ve made it!” I thought to myself with a big smile on my face. At least I could laugh! It was a feeling that gave me more courage. It was such a liberating and indescribably beautiful experience! But don’t forget, it was also really tiring because it was a situation I didn’t know. But I had the best team ever by my side, who were there for me every step of the way.
7.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Oh yes, absolutely! Social media is playing a really big role these days, isn’t it? It’s so great to see how social media is being used for advertising and marketing in all kinds of industries! Thanks to social media, we can now connect with people all over the world. This is great for young models, who can use it to showcase their talents and gain exposure. Social media is a great way to introduce yourself and show the world who you are and what your dreams are. And that’s why so many people also find support from other people in society.
But, as with everything in life, there are also a few dangers lurking on the internet. I think it’s really important to educate young people about the dangers and show them how to use social media correctly.
8.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
I know this situation all too well, and I’m so happy to hear this question!
So many young people out there dream of becoming a part of the modeling world! I was one of them, too! My family wasn’t really supportive of my dream of becoming a model. They just weren’t interested in the fashion world or didn’t see it as a career. It’s also important to remember that becoming a model isn’t something that happens overnight. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to make enough money to live on. It takes a lot of hard work, a fighting spirit, lots of casting, and a lot of perseverance. As a model, you’re also your own boss and have to invest financially. To be accepted for professional jobs, you’ll also need a professional application, which includes a great modeling portfolio.
My best advice to all you young talents out there is to look for people who share your dreams and make connections. It doesn’t always have to be your family that supports you. It can be friends or new people, too! You just have to be brave, my dear. Once you’ve found your comfort zone, it’s a lovely place to be, but it’s not the place to stay forever.
9.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
I learned the most important lesson of all: to love yourself just the way you are! You don’t need to go under the knife 100 times or spend a fortune on the latest fashions. I think it goes without saying that it’s really important to take care of your diet and your body. But that should be the case even if you don’t come from the modeling industry. I also learned how wonderful it can be to be surrounded by so many beautiful and different people. When you look around and listen, you discover so many new things, get different perspectives on things, and hear so many interesting stories from people all over the world. I truly believe that’s what life is all about. But at the end of the day, the most important thing is to support others.
10.- Valentina, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
Oh, goodness, no way! I think many other models have to deal with a lot of criticism from other people. And my personal experience is that people are way too quick to judge, often without even knowing the person. That’s not right. I don’t waste my time talking bad about people, especially if I don’t know them. Because you never know what problems that person has or how they are doing. People can laugh all day long, but they are really sad, or others drive expensive luxury cars and wear expensive clothes that they might not be able to afford. And they do that just to make a good impression on others. And that’s where it’s important to know who you are, what you’ve already achieved in life, and what your goals are. Just be yourself, and don’t worry about what others think. If others want to waste their time judging other people, don’t worry about it, because everyone is perfect and unique just the way they are. That is the most valuable thing you can have, and no amount of money can replace that or take it away from another person.
11.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Indeed, I have. As a child, I was passionate about acting in plays. However, in the end, my focus shifted towards modelling. It is a fascinating and highly competitive industry, but becoming an actor requires a similar level of dedication, resilience, and other qualities that a model also needs. There are also roles in the modelling world that require acting, such as for commercials.
12.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
It’s so important and the right thing to do! I come from an industry that is dominated by men, and we have to work with heavy things every day. We drive big machines! As a woman, you sometimes feel out of place, but there shouldn’t be any differences between men and women. Gender doesn’t show who is particularly good at what or not. It’s totally understandable that a system has developed over the centuries. I’m really happy that more and more women are having the courage and confidence to take on management positions or work in sectors where it’s mainly men who work. After all, women and men are like ying and yang. They complement each other, and this should also be recognized in society today. Women should get much more recognition for this and not be put down for their courage and vision.
13.- Valentina, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
I’m on a mission to become the best version of myself as a woman. I want to be able to say one day that I have lived, loved, and laughed. When I have children of my own later on, I wish I could be a great role model. I’m so grateful for all the amazing opportunities I’ve been given so far, and for all the ups and downs. Every defeat makes you stronger and wiser, and I’m so thankful for all the incredible people I’ve met in my life. I’ve had so many amazing experiences, made some great memories, and have a few crazy stories to share with my kids someday.
14.- Valentina, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I absolutely love traveling! Unfortunately, it hasn’t been possible for me so far because of my job and my training as a farmer. So I’m really looking forward to traveling to Cambodia this year with lots of great women. And I also hope to see more of the world through modeling. It is especially important to me to get to know new cultures. I also have a brother in Kazakhstan who is about to become a dad. I would love to visit them when I become an aunt! I want to know the whole world. Some people say it’s not possible, but I’m not letting that stop me. If you want to reach something, I will get it!
