1. – Shamiriah, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born and raised on a small island called St. Maarten. I lived there for 12 years before moving to Holland. What I love about my hometown is its tropical vibe and the most beautiful beaches you could ever see!
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I love creating and building things it really helps me express my imagination and creativity! Football also brings me a lot of joy,being part of a team and sharing/ making memories with my friends and family were they always makes me laugh.
3.- International Model – Miss Teen of Friesland 2025 Finalist . When did you decide to take your first steps as a model ? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I decided to take my first steps as a model when I realized it was a way to express my passion and creativity.
achieving this change again to take part of this beauty pageant has been a blessing, last year I came in the top 8 and this year my dream is to become the Miss teen of Friesland 2025, it’s for sure every girls dream but i want to show girls to never give up on there dreams and to show them that dreams may come true!
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Shamiriah in each activity carried out as a model?
I think my distinctive stamp as a model is my ability to bring my creativity and passion into every photoshoot.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be a model?
The main virtue that any woman must have to be a model is confidence. It’s essential to believe in yourself and your abilities, as this helps you carry yourself with poise and grace on the runway or in front of the camera.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
Yes, being an influential woman for aspiring models is incredibly important! It’s a great opportunity to inspire and empower girls and teenagers to pursue their dreams. Being a role model means showing them that with hard work, dedication, and self-belief, they can achieve their goals. It’s all about encouraging them to embrace their uniqueness and confidence!
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera?
The first time I modeled in front of a video camera, I felt a mix of excitement and nerves! It was such a thrilling experience, but also a bit intimidating. Once I got into the groove, though, it felt amazing to express myself and connect with the camera.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social media today is super powerful! It can connect people from all over the world and give a voice to those who might not have had one before. It’s amazing how it can inspire and empower individuals, especially in fields like modeling and creativity. It also allows for sharing ideas and building communities.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I love interacting with my followers by sharing behind-the-scenes moments, responding to their comments, and engaging in fun challenges! It’s all about creating a connection and making them feel involved. As for my favorite social media, I really enjoy platforms that allow for creativity and expression, like Instagram
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
For young people with talent who are hesitant to take the next step, I would say to embrace your uniqueness and remember that every great journey starts with a single step. Surround yourself with supportive friends and seek out opportunities to showcase your skills, even if it feels scary at first.
As for parents who might not support their children’s talents, I would encourage them to open their minds and hearts. Every child has dreams and passions that deserve nurturing. Listening and understanding their child’s aspirations can lead to incredible growth and joy for both the child and the parent.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion ?
I’ve learned that confidence is key in the world of fashion. It’s all about embracing who you are and expressing yourself through your style.
12.- Shamiriah, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
Being a model has definitely had its challenges! There have been times when I felt nervous or faced tough competition. But I always remind myself to focus on my passion and creativity. Surrounding myself with supportive friends/family and learning from every experience helped me overcome those obstacles. It’s all about staying positive and pushing through!
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I’ve definitely thought about acting! The entertainment industry is super fascinating, with all the creativity and storytelling involved. I love how it brings different characters and emotions to life. Plus, it’s another way to express imagination, just like in fashion!
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I believe that the role of women in the future will continue to evolve positively, even in societies where they face challenges today. As awareness grows and more women stand up for their rights, change is possible. Education and empowerment are crucial, and I think that with support from both men and women, we can create a more equitable world. The resilience and strength of women will drive progress, and I hope to see more opportunities and respect for women everywhere.
15.- Shamiriah, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
I’m motivated by my passion for creating and building things, and I feel grateful for the support of my family every day. Their love and guidance really make a difference in my life. Without there love and support I wouldn’t be standing here and showing the world who I am !
16.- Shamiriah, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I love traveling! Some countries I know so far is, Germany, USA, France, Nederland, Suriname and vist many island!, I’d love to visit Spain and Greece someday! From the Netherlands, I recommend visiting the Keukenhof Gardens during spring for the stunning tulip fields, the historic windmills at Zaanse Schans, and the beautiful beaches in Zeeland. These places showcase the diverse beauty of the Netherlands.
