In this special feature for Perumira Global Talent Magazine, we shine a spotlight on a rising young leader whose voice, purpose, and determination are already resonating across Australia: Sanza Arzal, Miss Teen Galaxy Australia Pageant National Finalist 2026. Born in Gorontalo, Indonesia, and raised across Newcastle and Tamworth, Sanza embodies the multicultural spirit and resilience that define a new generation of empowered Australian youth. Her upbringing in Tamworth — a city known for its warmth, music, and strong sense of community — helped shape her values of kindness, connection, and service. It is here that she discovered the power of community, the importance of diversity, and the confidence to embrace who she is.

Driven, articulate, and deeply compassionate, Sanza brings a refreshing blend of athletic discipline, creative intelligence, and heart-centred leadership to everything she does. From sports like netball and soccer to the strategy of chess and the creativity of writing, she has grown into a young woman who sees purpose in every challenge and meaning in every opportunity to inspire others.

Her journey into the Miss Teen Galaxy Australia Pageant began with her passion for advocacy — particularly mental health awareness and youth empowerment. Today, as a national finalist, Sanza stands as a powerful reminder that pageantry is far more than a crown; it is a platform to create change, uplift communities, and give young people across Australia the courage to dream boldly.

1.- Sanza, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?

I was born in Gorontalo, Indonesia, and moved to Australia when I was two years old. My childhood began in a coastal city called Newcastle, but Tamworth is where I truly grew up in and where my heart belongs. Tamworth isn’t just a city; it’s a community that shaped my

values and my character. Known as the Country Music Capital of Australia, it’s a place full of culture, creativity, and connection. Growing up in Tamworth taught me resilience, kindness, and the importance of giving back. The strong sense of community here inspired me to step into leadership roles, embrace diversity, and celebrate who I am. Every festival, every local event, and every opportunity to connect with people has helped me grow into a confident young woman who wants to make a difference. Tamworth gave me my voice and now I’m using it to inspire others.

2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?

I have many hobbies that keep me active and creative, including netball, soccer, chess, and writing. Playing sports like netball and soccer helps me stay fit and teaches me teamwork and resilience, while chess challenges my mind and sharpens my strategic thinking. Writing is my creative outlet; it allows me to express my thoughts and ideas in a meaningful way.

What truly makes me laugh and brings me the most joy is spending time with loved ones. Whether it’s sharing stories, playing games, or simply enjoying each other’s company, those moments remind me of the importance of love and connection. As well as that, my family is my biggest source of happiness and strength, and being with them always fills my heart with laughter and gratitude.

3.- Miss Teen Galaxy Pageant National Finalist 2026. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?

I discovered the Galaxy Pageant system on social media early in 2025, and it immediately caught my attention because it promotes mental health awareness and encourages candidates to build their own platforms regarding their advocacy. That really resonated with me because I’m a passionate advocate for youth empowerment, especially in regional areas, and for mental health awareness amongst all young people. I wanted to contribute and give back to my community on a bigger scale, and this pageant gave me the perfect opportunity to do that. From the moment I applied, the entire process has brought my passion to life and allowed me to implement it in meaningful ways throughout my journey.

And it feels incredible. Achieving this milestone is not just about wearing a crown. It’s about using my voice to inspire others and create positive change. Being recognized as a national finalist in Australia and influencer means I have a platform to advocate for causes that matter deeply to me, like mental health and youth empowerment.

As part of my role as a national finalist, I’ve been deeply involved in community engagement. Connecting with so many community members has opened my perspective and taught me so much about the power of unity and giving back. Every conversation and every event has strengthened my commitment to making a difference. It’s a reminder that when you stay true to your values and work hard, you can turn your dreams into reality and create an impact that goes far beyond yourself.

4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Sanza in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?

My unique stamp is my passion for kindness and compassion. For me, being a woman in today’s world is not always easy. There is overall so many stereotypes, stigmas, and gender roles that we face with every step we take. Through my work as a beauty queen and model, I want to break those barriers and show that strength and grace can coexist.

I aim to inspire and empower others by sharing this message: If I can do it, you can do it too and we can do it together. Every appearance, every project, and every community engagement I take part in reflects that commitment. I want people to see that beauty is not just about looks; it’s about using your platform to create change, uplift others, and lead with kindness.

5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?

The most important virtue is authenticity; being true and genuine. To succeed as an

international model, you need to know who you are deep down and embrace that fully. It’s not just about appearance; it’s about having a clear sense of purpose and standing for values that matter to you. When you lead with integrity and confidence in your identity, you inspire others and create a lasting impact. Because I think, modelling is more than wearing beautiful clothes, it’s about using it to represent value, character, and meaning.

6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?

The awareness with being an influential figure comes with great responsibility. Being seen as a role model means I must keep learning, growing, and striving to be the best version of myself every day. Not just for the sake of myself but for all these young women. It’s not just about appearances it’s about staying humble, authentic, and connected to the people who look up to me.

I remind myself that I’m one of them. We all have dreams whether we share the same ones or completely different aspirations. To add, we all will face personal and differing challenges. The opportunities I am privileged to have allows me to step into this role, and I want to use those opportunities to inspire others. For me, being an idol isn’t about

perfection; it’s about showing that success is possible when you believe in yourself and work hard. My goal is to empower girls and teenagers to embrace their uniqueness and chase their dreams fearlessly.

7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?

The first time I modelled in front of a video camera, I felt nervous and kept second- guessing myself. It was a completely new experience and stepping into that spotlight felt overwhelming at first. To be honest, I come from a background as a netball athlete, where I played competitive games under a lot of pressure to perform and win.

In some ways, pageantry is similar like sports, you need discipline, confidence, and the ability to perform under pressure. But it’s also slightly different because instead of focusing on physical performance, you’re showcasing your personality, values, and inner strength.

Being in a beauty pageant made me realize that success isn’t just about competition, it’s about embracing who you are and using your platform to inspire others. That shift in perspective was empowering and helped me grow not just as a contestant, but as a person.

8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?

Social media is incredibly powerful. It can reach millions of people and influence lives in ways that were unimaginable before. It feels like the world has no limits when it comes to connectivity and opportunities. With just one post, you can share your voice, your story, and your message with a global audience.

However, that power comes with responsibility because social media can lift people up or tear them down. It can be a tool for empowerment, education, and positive change, but it can also spread negativity and harm if misused. For me, it’s about using social media intentionally to inspire, advocate for mental health, and create a safe space where people feel seen and valued. When used wisely, social media is not just a platform, it’s a movement.

9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?

I love interacting with my followers by sharing positivity, inspiration, and real moments from my journey. Social media is such a powerful tool to connect, and I use it to spread messages that matter, like mental health awareness and youth empowerment. I enjoy responding to comments, engaging in conversations, and creating content that uplifts and motivates others.

My favourite platform is Instagram because it allows me to share both visual and

meaningful content. I also like TikTok for its creativity and fun, although I haven’t built that platform in a very professional way yet. My goal is to grow these spaces into platforms that truly reflect my values and create a community where everyone feels encouraged and supported.

10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?

To young people, my advice is simple: just try it. You have nothing to lose. Don’t focus on winning or losing take every opportunity as an experience to learn and grow. Every step you take will teach you something valuable and help you become a better version of yourself.

Be brave, believe in your potential, and grasp the opportunities that come your way. Fear often holds us back, but courage opens doors you never imagined.

For parents, I understand that life comes with challenges and obstacles, and sometimes it’s hard to see things from your child’s perspective. My advice is to believe in your children, trust their dreams and support them in any way you can. Even if you don’t fully understand their passion, being present and encouraging can make all the difference. Every child deserves to feel seen and supported as they chase their goals. We were all put on this earth for a reason, different reasons that create the same intention of building a better society.

11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?

So far, one of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that everything comes back to who we are and what our purpose is in life. Fashion and pageantry may seem focused on appearance, but the truth is, the people who truly shine are those who know their values and stay grounded in them.

Confidence isn’t about wearing the most glamorous outfit, it’s about understanding your identity and standing firm in what you believe. When you have a clear sense of purpose and authenticity, it radiates through everything you do. Pageantry taught me that beauty fades, but character and integrity are what leave a lasting impression.

12.- Sanza, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?

No, it hasn’t been easy at all. One of the biggest obstacles I faced was self-doubt. In a world where beauty is often seen as subjective, everyone has their own opinion and perspective about what beauty should look like. That can be intimidating and make you question yourself.

I realized that overcoming these obstacles depends entirely on your mindset. Instead of trying to fit into someone else’s definition of beauty, I focused on embracing my individuality and staying true to my values. Confidence comes from within, and when you know who you are and what you stand for, no external opinion can shake you. For me, modelling became less about perfection and more about authenticity and that shift changed everything.

13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?

Yes, I have thought about it. And If I’m being completely honest, it’s my childhood dream. I took drama on stage as an elective subject in year 10 in high school, and I absolutely loved it. Performing in productions, writing scripts, and engaging in public speaking were some of my favourite experiences. They allowed me to express creativity and confidence in a completely different way.

I also enjoy the entertainment industry because it’s full of opportunities to tell stories and inspire people. I’m open to exploring acting in the future. Life is about growth, and I believe every experience whether on stage or in front of a camera teaches us something valuable.

14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?

Women have an incredibly important role in every society, and that role will only continue to grow. Even in places where women still face discrimination or abuse, I believe the future holds hope for change. Education, awareness, and empowerment are key to breaking cycles of inequality.

Women bring strength, resilience, and compassion to every aspect of life whether in leadership, family, or community. The future I envision is one where women are not only respected but celebrated for their contributions. It’s about creating opportunities, challenging stereotypes, and ensuring that every girl knows her worth. When societies invest in women, they invest in progress, because empowered women empower generations.

15.- Sanza, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?

My biggest motivation is to become a better version of myself every single day to grow, learn, and use my journey to contribute and give back to others. Life is about progress, not perfection, and every step forward is an opportunity to make a positive impact. Think about it like a journey, you do not learn from a complete straight and smooth path, there will be times you have to make de tours but that is only way we can truly learn.

I am grateful for so many things, my family, my loved ones, my health, the opportunities I’ve been given, and the people who support and believe in me. Gratitude keeps me grounded and reminds me to never take anything for granted. I also feel deeply thankful for the chances to see and hear different perspectives, to feel love and kindness, and to experience compassion in life and to see it be implemented. Those moments are incredibly rewarding and shape the way I view the world.

And, what truly drives me is love, love for myself, for my family, and for those who show kindness and support for me. Love gives me strength and purpose. It reminds me why I do what I do, to get back up when things get rough, and love also make me realise why it’s important to stay humble and authentic.

16.- Sanza, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?

I absolutely love traveling. It’s one of my greatest passions. So far, I’ve been to Indonesia and, of course, around Australia. My family loves road trips, and we’ve travelled extensively across Australia, exploring every state and countless small town. Driving across the Nullarbor Plain, the longest and straightest road in the Southern Hemisphere was an unforgettable experience. We’ve also enjoyed diving in the Great Barrier Reef and

discovering Australia’s breathtaking landscapes. Australia is so vast and diverse; there’s

always something new to explore.

In the future, I’d love to explore Europe. I’m fascinated by its rich history and culture, and I’d love to learn new languages, visit centuries-old castles, and immerse myself in the art and architecture that tell stories of the past.

As for recommendations in Australia, starting off strong, the acknowledgement of the wonderful land that is filled with rich aboriginal culture. Continued with the Great Barrier Reef for its natural beauty, then experience the vibrant culture of Sydney and Melbourne, and don’t miss the unique outback adventures in places like Uluru which also holds cultural significance for the traditional owners of the land.

Australia truly has something for everyone from beaches to deserts to bustling cities.
