1.- Sanne, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
– I was born in Lelystad and raised in Assen (The Netherlands) I don’t know much about Lelystad anymore but I had a good and careless time in Assen as a child. I deciced to leave Assen because I didn’t see a future for me there
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
– My hobbies are reading, drawing, and painting, I also like working out and spending time with my loved ones, that really gives me joy!
3.- International Model – Miss Voluptuous Netherlands 2025 . When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
* I first decided to compete in pageants when I saw a advertisement of a pageant for curvy women. At first I was really scared to do it and didnt think I could, but quickly I realized that more people were having the same type of fear that I had mostly because there isn’t representation to look for, so I really wanted try to become that person.
During my first pageant I started doing modeling so the decision to do pageants and modeling really came around the same time. The feelings I have for achieving my goals and dreams: of course I get happy thinking about the idea of achieving it all and I am really hopefull I will but most off all I think its really important to be myself and stay that way because in my opinion people can be truly influencual and a good rolemodel if people can recogzine themselves in you ( body type, way of thinking or personaliteit so I think most off all I feel humbled.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Sanne in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
For sure not placing myself above any others. And with that I mean that I believe that as a pageant queen you should never feel better than the people around you, this position gives woman a chance to actually do something for the better and if thats being a plus size model or advocating for their advocacy (in my case sexual assault) thats great but
I believe that as a model and/or pageant queen you should always put helping other people and fellow pageant sisters first I believe that lifting others up won’t teat you down and thats something I”ll always keep believing.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an international model?
I think that the most important thing is to remember what you stand for and how you want to acknowladge that, because I believe that you can’t confince someone of something if don’t agree with the idea yourself so it might not go as fast as you want but as long as you stand behind your brand it fine in my opinion
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
Hahah no not all, but its really important to me to be a good rolemodel for girls and teenagers. When I was a younger I didn’t really have a rolemodel where I could recognize myself in. So I would love to be that person for women/younger people
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
To be honest I was really shy and scared the first time but luckily I worked with a really nice photographer (MissRedLilyPad) who really helped me on the way and helped me becoming more confident in front of the camera.
The first time I really was insecure during the trainingperiod but at the finals I really got excited and regretted it afterwards that I didn’t showed myself more, When I went a second time everything went MUCH better
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
I think that the power of social media is that you can reach a lot of people if you want to make a positive difference or show your platform but I do think that it is important to stay real on social media because pretending that you are doing better than you actually do can harm a lot of young people, because people will compare themselves whether they want it or not
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I mostly interact through instagram with people, i really try to be as real as possible and ofcourse I like to post photoshoots now and then but also mix that with some more regular content
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
It sounds really cliché but my advice would be to just do it, I always say that I rather try to do something and might fail and with that know it isn’t for me than regret not doing something I really want.
And for the parents I would like to give some advice my mother always told me or actually two, my mother always told me that she didn’t care if I was going to be a plumber or a lawyer as long as I was happy with my life and the choices I made she was happy to, and with that she always said she would never forbid things like this because she knew that if we had something on our mind we would do it one way or another
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
The most important thing I learned came from pageants and it sounds really logical but I learned that the memories I made and the people I got be friends with was more important than to win a crown and ofcourse its nice to win it, but the friendships and memories I made are worth everything
12.- Sanne, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
It’s not always easy and I am still trying but the biggest obstacle has to be me because I used to tell myself that I couldn’t and once I started to change that it started to go way better
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Yes! I would love to become one and most of the time I like the industry but I do think that the worshipping of celebrities can be a bit much
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I think that the most important thing is to stop worrying about what women can and can’t do and try decide over women’s lives and bodies. The only people who can and should do that are women themselves
15.- Sanne, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation every day is my religion I am christian and I believe that if something is meant to be it will happen and that God has the best plan for me, I feel gratefull for waking up healthy everyday and my dear friends and family around me
16.- Sanne, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
Yes I love traveling and seeing other cultures as a kid I mostly went to Austria, France, Swiss and Germany and later when I was older I went to Portugal and England. From my country I would recommend Groningen it’s a bit like Amsterdam but more cosy
