1.- Romy, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born in Eindhoven, but when I was young, my parents separated. My mother and i then moved to Hendrik Ido Ambacht, Where I spend most of my childhood. Three years ago, i returned to Eindhoven ( Geldrop ) and I couldn’t be happier to be back! I truly feel at home here.
I laugh the most during simple, happy moments.
Whether its playing with my dog during our walks, sharing funny stories with my friends, or experiencing the unexpected humor in Everyday life. Animals especially have a way of bringing a smile to my face with their innocent and quirky behavior.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
My hobbies bring me the greatest joy. I love creative activities like photoshoots, wich allow me to express myself. And spending time in nature while walking my dog. Helping stray animals trough my advocacy also fills me with a deep sense of purpose and happiness. Its the combination of doing what I love and making a difference that truly makes me feel alive.
3.-International Model, Miss Beauty of Noord-Brabant 2025 Finalist. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
My journey to participate in Miss beauty off noord Brabant began when I was scouted by a former contestant. It had always been a dream of mine as a little girl to join a pegeant, but i never had the courage to take that step because of my insecurities.
For years I doubted myself, thinking I wasn’t good enough. Now i feel incredible proud and grateful to have overcome that fear and to be part of this journey. This oppertunity has not only allowed me to grow as a person but also inspire others who might be facing similar struggles. Its a reminder that dreams can come true when you believe in yourself.
Trough this platform I am determined to make a difference. With my advocacy for stray animals, I hope to use my voice to raise awareness and open people’s eyes to the importance of compassion and action.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Romy in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
The distinctive and unique stamp of Romy in every activity I carry out as a beauty queen and model is my deep passion for making a difference. I believe that beauty goes beyond appearance. Its about using my platform to inspire, empower and help others.
My advocacy for stray animals is a big part of who I am, and I make sure to incorporate that into everything I do whether its through public speaking or interacting with my followers, I aim to leave a lasting impact by spreading kindness and raising awarrenes on important issues.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
The main virtue that Any woman must have to be an international model is resilience. The modeling industry can be challenging, with constant changes, pressures, and high expectations. Resilience allows a model to stay focused, persevere trough setbacks, and maintain confidence in herself no matter the obstacles. Its about embracing the journey, learning from each experience and continuing to grow both personally and professionally.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
Yes, I am very aware of the influence I may have on many girls who aspire to be models, and its something to take very seriously. To be a role model is both an honor an a responsibility. Its incredibly important to me to be a positive influence and to show young girls and teenagers that they can achieve their dreams, no matter the obstacles.
I believe in encouraging them to be confident in themselves, embrace their unique qualities, and pursue their passions with determination and self belief. If i can inspire others to do that, it makes my journey even more meaningful.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
The first time in front of a camera, or during the pageant brought me alot of nerves. I was still very insecure, and it showed in everything I did.
Fortunately, over time i’ve found my confidence, and that has Made all the difference.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
The power of social media today is undeniable. It has completely transformed the way we connect, communicate, and share ideas.
For me, social media is a tool that can be used for positive change, whether its raising awareness for important causes, inspiring others, or building communities. It allows people to have a voice and reach audiences on global scale, which is incredibly powerfull.
However it also comes with responsibility to use it wisely and authentically, as it can influence perceptions and impact lives in both positive and negative ways.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I love interacting with my followers on social media by sharing authentic moments from my life, whether its through stories, posts, or direct messages.
I enjoy engaging in conversations, answering questions, and recieving feedback from my followers. Its important to make them feel connected and heard.
My favorite social media platform is Instagram because it allows me to visually share my journey, showcase my advocacy and connect with people from all over the world in a meaningfull way.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
My advice to young people who have talent but hesitate to take the next step is: dont let fear hold you back. Every journey starts with one step, and taking that step is often the hardest part. Believe in your abilities, trust yourself, and remember that failures are simply learning experiences that help you grow.
Embrace challenges as opportunities to improve and dont let doubts stop you from pursuing what you love. To parents who dont support their children’s talents, I would advise them to see their child’s potential and passions as a gift.
Every child is unique, and supporting their dreams. No matter how unconventional can give them the confidence they need to succeed. Encouraging them to explore their talents and interest shows them that they have the power to shape their own future.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
One important lesson i’ve learned from the world off fashion and beauty pageants is the significance of self confidence and authenticity.
The industry often focuses on appearance, but true beauty comes from within. I’ve realized that embracing who i am, staying true to my velues, and being confident in my own skin are what truly makes me stand out. Its not just about looking a certain way, but about being proud of who you are and what you represent.
This lesson has not only shaped my journey in pageant but also in life!
12.- Romy, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
Becoming a model hasn’t always been easy. Like many others in this industry, I’ve faced obstacles along the way. whether it was overcoming my own insecurities, dealing with rejection, or learning to navigate the pressures of the modeling world. But each challenge has taught me valuable lessons.
I learned to embrace my uniqueness, focus on personal growth, and not take setbacks personally. With determination, resilience, and the support of those who believe in me, I’ve been able to overcome these obstacles and keep moving forward with confidence.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I have thought about the possibility of becoming an actress, as the entertainment industry has always fascinated me. I love storytelling and expressing emotions through different forms of art. The idea of portraying different characters and exploring new perspectives is something that excites me. While my current focus is on modeling and my advocacy,
I would definitely be open to exploring acting in the future if the right opportunity arises. The entertainment industry, with its creativity and ability to inspire, is something I truly admire.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Although women worldwide have made significant progress in gaining more rights and opportunities, there are still societies where women face abuse and oppression.
In these societies, I believe the future role of women will be shaped by strength, resilience, and determination. As women continue to rise in leadership and become advocates for change, their voices will challenge existing barriers and push for greater equality.
With ongoing efforts, I believe we can create a future where women are no longer oppressed, but empowered and respected. The key is to continue raising awareness, advocating for change, and supporting women everywhere in their fight for justice.
15.- Romy, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation comes from the desire to make a positive impact in the world, especially for causes that are close to my heart, like advocating for stray animals. Every day, I am driven by the thought that even small actions can lead to significant change. I am also deeply motivated by the support of my loved ones and the opportunity to inspire others.
I feel grateful every day for the people in my life who believe in me, for the opportunities I have, and for the ability to make a difference in my own way. I am thankful for the simple joys—like spending time with my dog, working on my goals, and knowing that every step I take is part of a bigger purpose.
16.- Romy, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
Yes, I absolutely love to travel! It’s such an enriching experience to explore new cultures, try different foods, and meet new people. I’ve been to Greece, Egypt, Turkey, Spain, France, Germany, and Belgium, and each of these countries has left a lasting impression on me. In the future, I would love to visit countries like Japan, Italy, and Australia.
Each of these places has so much to offer, from their unique traditions to breathtaking landscapes.
As for recommendations in my own country, the Netherlands has so many beautiful spots to visit! I would highly recommend exploring the canals of Amsterdam, the historic town of Delft, and the vibrant city of Rotterdam with its modern architecture. Also, Eindhoven is definitely worth a visit! It’s a dynamic city known for its innovative design, great shopping, and vibrant culture.
The Dutch countryside, with its tulip fields and windmills, is also a must see during springtime!
