With her youth, elegance and captivating beauty, Norah represents the bright future of the fashion and pageant industry in the Netherlands and beyond.
Born in the peaceful village of Nieuwe Pekela, Norah grew up surrounded by the simplicity and warmth of her community. She cherishes her hometown as a place of tranquillity, yet her ambitions have always reached far beyond its borders.
Her greatest passions are fashion, travel and friendship. Holidays inspire her with the discovery of beautiful destinations, while time spent with friends brings joy to her everyday life. Yet it is fashion design that truly defines her path – a field in which she is already studying, determined to express her individuality and style through creativity.
Norah’s pageant journey began in 2023 at the Miss Groningen casting day. Though she did not advance to the finals at first, her determination led her to return in 2024, where she achieved the prestigious title of 1st Runner-Up Miss Teen of Groningen 2025. Her story is a shining example of perseverance – a reminder that dreams are not lost when delayed, but refined through resilience and courage.
With her remarkable beauty, radiant presence and dedication, Norah Imminga is not only a promising model but also a role model for young women who aspire to pursue their passions and never give up.
1. – Norah, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born on September 22, 2008, and I’m from Nieuwe Pekela, a small village in the Netherlands. I’ve always had a wonderful time here and think it’s a nice, peaceful place to live.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
My hobbies are going on vacation because I love visiting beautiful places. I also enjoy spending time with friends. And of course, I love everything fashion-related. That’s why I’m studying Fashion Design, because fashion is a way for me to express my style and personality. That’s why I really want to work in the fashion industry in the future. I also love participating in beauty pageants and photoshoots.
3.-International Model, Miss Teen of Groningen 2025 1st RU. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I took my first step in 2023. That’s when I participated in the miss Groningen casting day for the first time. I was scouted, and I’d been wanting to participate for a long time. Although I didn’t advance to the finals that year, I decided to participate again a year later. This time, I was crowned 1st runner-up Miss Teen of Groningen. For me, this proves that you should never give up on your dreams, even if they don’t work out at first. By keeping trying and learning from setbacks, you can get closer to your goals.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Norah in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
What makes me unique is that I always bring my creativity and spontaneity to everything I do. I find it important to help others and radiate positive energy. I’m also someone who truly doesn’t give up.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
The most important virtue is self-confidence. That means believing in yourself and staying true to who you are. It’s important not to worry about anyone else’s opinion, because it’s your life and your dreams. Only by staying true to yourself can you truly shine and achieve your goals.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
Yes, and I think it’s wonderful and important to inspire and help other girls and teenagers. I believe we make each other stronger by sharing positivity and helping, inspiring, and motivating each other.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
I absolutely love being in front of the camera because it allows me to be myself and show it off. I immediately felt at home at a beauty pageant. Everyone was so sweet and supportive. The whole journey taught me a lot and helped me grow in self-confidence. And that’s why I’m still incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to experience this.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
I believe social media has enormous power these days. It offers us the opportunity to inspire each other, connect with each other, and stay in touch. For me, it’s important that social media is a place where you can be yourself. However, social media also has a negative impact, especially on teenagers, because some people post hateful comments and bully each other online. That’s why it’s important to use social media consciously.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I really enjoy staying in touch with friends through social media. I also like to use my platform to inspire others and share my passions, such as beauty pageants. My favorite social media platform is TikTok, because I not only enjoy scrolling but also learn new things from it.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
The advice I give young people is to just take that step. It can be exciting, but if you never try it, you’ll never know what you can achieve with it. To parents, I advise them to let their child try, discover, and grow. Children often feel vulnerable when they want to try something new. By truly listening, you show respect. You don’t always have to understand, but your support can make the difference between a extinguished talent and a blossoming dream.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
That you should always be yourself, because that’s when you shine the most. Everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way, so are you. I’ve also learned that a beauty pageant isn’t about looks, but about strength, self-confidence, and empowering young women.
12.- Norah, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
Yes, I used to worry a lot about other people’s opinions and that’s why I wasn’t really confident. Now I can handle that much better. I’ve learned that other people’s opinions aren’t important. I’ve also discovered that being confident doesn’t mean you never have doubts, but that despite those doubts, you still have the courage to stand up for who you are.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Yes, I’ve thought about becoming an actress. It seems like a wonderfully creative job, but I’ve never seriously pursued it. But that doesn’t mean I never want to pursue acting in the future.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I consider women’s rights very important. Unfortunately, in many societies, women still face daily abuse, oppression, and inequality. Yet I believe the future can be hopeful. Women are increasingly raising their voices, and I believe we all should do the same to contribute to a more just world.
15.- Norah, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation comes from my dreams. They give me the energy to persevere, because when I really want to achieve something, I don’t give up. I’m grateful every day for the new opportunities that come my way and for the people (family/friends) around me who support, inspire, and help me.
16.- Norah, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
Yes, I definitely love traveling! I love visiting new places and experiencing new cultures. My favorite destination so far is Lake Como in Italy. I also really like Paris, Milan, and Berlin. In the future, I’d love to see more of the United States. In the Netherlands, I definitely recommend a visit to the Wadden Islands, but also cities like Amsterdam, Groningen, or Utrecht for a day of shopping or enjoying a terrace.
