In this exclusive interview, we delve into Natalie’s experiences, her path to becoming Ms Voluptuous Bay of Gibraltar, and her vision for the future. Join us as we explore the life of this Gibraltar-born beauty, her ambitions, and her message of empowerment to women everywhere.
1.- Natalie, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born, raised and still live in the Majestic Rock of Gibraltar. We are a small place with a mighty heart and are situated on the Iberian Peninsula, sharing a Land Frontier with Spain and across the Mediterrean, we also have our Friendly Neighbours, Morocco with its Atlas Mountains and amazing cuisine.
What I most like about Gibraltar is that we are a Melting Pot of Cultures living together in complete harmony, which is an example to the World in todays current climate.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I enjoy reading, travelling when possible, modelling, swimming in the sea, keeping up to date with Current Affairs and anything Law Enforcement related. My two Chihuahuas, a Boy and a Girl, are my joy and make me laugh. They are my Children as I unfortunately have been unable to have children of my own, after sadly suffering a Miscarriage in 2020.
3.-International Model, Ms Voluptuous Bay of Gibraltar 2024/2025 . When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
My first show was at the tender age of 6 years old and i just love the feeling of being on stage. Unfortunately, being Plus Sized or bigger that what was considered the “norm”, stopped me from entering other Pageants in my Country. Although nothing was in the rules stopping us from entering, it was commonly known and still kind of is, that if you are Plus Sized the judges will not even consider you as one of the winners, even if your performance is the best suited. After having a not so nice experience, i thought to myself that there has to be something more meaningful and accepting of Plus Sized females, which is when i discovered Miss Voluptuous Pageants. And let me tell everyone reading, they have been the biggest blessing in my life. MVP provides an empowerment program which is second to none, sprinkled with a Pageant, fun workshops and most important of all a Sisterhood. Through MVP I feel that I belong and have the inner strength to continue with my dreams and passions, which will be acheived one day. It is still early days, but I have been stopped a few times in the street and have been told that I am an inspiration being on stage as a Plus Sized female in my country. This makes me feel very honoured but I wish that more would take the plunge and follow their dreams.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Natalie in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
My unique stamp is my honesty and determination. Although sometimes I need to reign this in, I always am the Cheerleader for everyone, as I know far too well how it is to feel to have no one support you.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
Confidence and Integrity is what any woman, well any person should have to be any sort of Role Model, whether international, in the public eye or just in general. You have to have confidence in yourself and Integrity is also vitality important. Do not let the negative opinions of others change your spirit.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
My country is small, so just thinking about being a positive influence for thousands of girls whom want to be models, makes me a little nervous but at the same time happy. If by them seeing me on stage, in a photo, a reel, a show etc with my curves on show, inspires just one little girl to follow her dreams, then my job is done. It is not important for me to be an idol for the many girls and teenagers reading this. What is most important is to be an inspiration and for them to see that if you love something to go for it.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
I was six years old so I cant really remember much the first time I modelled. Watching back the video, i looked very confident and cute of course. The other shows I’ve entered in, I’ve felt happy being on stage, but on the inside extremely insecure and sad as I was the only Plus Sized female. This all changed when I did my first Pageant with MVP this summer. It is an amazing indescribable feeling being on stage with my equally fabulous sisters, each with our own stories and backgrounds.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social Media can be a very powerful tool in both a positive and negative aspect. SM allows people to reconnect, keep in contact, study, learn, grow and promote their dreams/businesses, etc. However its negativity in todays world regarding a body image that is not real, with all the AI going around, impacts the youth to think that they are not perfect, when in reality they are, and this can lead to eating disorders, harming themselves etc. SM is also used by many Terrorist Groups to promote their hateful propaganda which is something that negatively impacts all aspects of society.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
Even though I have had access to the internet and Social Media since a young teen, I have only learnt how to use it properly in the last couple of years. I like to interact with my followers mainly through photographs and posts. I have posted reels before, but have learnt how to be more creative with them this last year through my Sisters and Directors at MVP. I mainly use Facebook and Instagram, however Tiktok is my current fave as apart from funny videos, you get a lot of news reports, documentaries and of course creative recipes on it.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
I would advise them to just go for it. It might seem daunting and you might be scared, but it will be worthwhile in the end. I have to be honest, when you dont acheive a goal youve set yourself, you will be sad, I myself have cried a lot, but just knowing that you’ve had the courage to at least try, makes things feel right.
For parents who do not support their children’s talents, I would ask them to please support their children. A lot of irreperable damage can be done to the children if no support is given. Even if the parent does not agree with those talents, they should support their children with their unconditional love. If they do this, their children will have more self belief and courage to go for their dreams.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
I learned to love and embrace my Plus Sized self so much more. By doing this I have learned to be more resilient and dedicated to acheiving my dreams and spreading my message, despite the continuous No’s. One day I shall have my YES!
12.- Natalie, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
I have to be honest and say I am not a professional model, yet! I’ve started late in this, but the most important thing has been starting. I have faced and still face significant obstacles, especially with my own self worth as there are more no’s than yes’s. Overcoming this is hard, but by building my own confidence and working towards acheiving my dreams,I will overcome anything life throws at me. I’m learning to stop comparing myself to others and stand up for what I believe in. Maintaining a positive mindset is not easy, but through resiliency and determination, it will be acheived.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I would love to be an actress, in either Comedy as I like to make people laugh or in Law Enforcement related Movies/Shows, as this is my background.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
The role of women in the future, even in societies where their role is still abused, I believe will evolve in a positive manner as continued awareness and advocacy for equality in all aspects grows. Having more female role models in high profile positions would help promote this further. All women deserve the right to be equal, no matter their social standing or their birthplace.
15.- Natalie, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is my dream of saving a child or reuniting a missing person with their loved one. My platform is Violent Crimes against Children and Missing Persons, which I advocate for through the group Amanda Quiere Ayudarte. I feel grateful to MVP for providing me with the Sisterhood, Empowerment, Advice and experience they have, as this has made me truly believe that I am able to do this.
16.- Natalie, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
Oh my yes I LOVE to travel (when finances let me lol)! The Dominican Republic holds a special place in my heart. I have been there six times and yes, the touristy places are complete paradise, what made me fall in love with the DR is the true Country, not the touristy places. Its people and nature provide a serenity and calmness that I would totally recommend anyone to visit. Tenerife in Spain is also very special to me. A dream of mine is to visit South Africa to explore its vast array of animals in their natural habitats.
Gibraltar might be small, but there is a lot packed into all of its 6.8KM2! With beautiful beaches, caves, Nature Reserve, museum, art galleries, restaurants, bars, its diverse community and wealth of Military History, there is something for all. OH and you cannot forget our cute and cheeky Barbary Macaques!

18.- Natalie, your last words or final tips
Never give up on your dreams despite all the negativity. I know it is hard and you will feel like quitting, I know I do cry and feel like this sometimes, but never give up. I gave up once on one of my dreams and let the bullies win and will always regret that decision for the rest of my life.
