Introducing Moni Sou – Miss Peace International Macau 2026 and Professional Photographer. Among the vibrant skylines and rich cultural tapestry of Macau emerges Moni—an embodiment of grace, strength, and artistic vision. With exhibitions themed around women’s strength, incorporating elements of pole dancing and yoga, Moni’s images are vibrant testaments to what it means to be strong and graceful. Her dream? To collaborate with Chanel, merging timeless elegance with avant-garde narrative. The true essence of peace and beauty lies in the ability to create harmony in our lives and relationships. Even so, It’s a chance to raise awareness on important issues and inspire others, especially different age of women, to embrace their unique qualities.
3. How do you balance the glamour of pageantry with the artistry of photography?
Balancing pageantry and photography involves integrating my passions. I use my experiences on stage to enhance my photography, capturing the essence of beauty and emotion in both fields. The glamour of pageantry fuels my creativity, while my artistic vision informs my presence as a model.
4. How did your academic journey at Harvard shape your creative perspective?
My studies provided me with a solid foundation in photography, allowing me to explore different styles and techniques. The exposure to diverse artistic perspectives and critical feedback has enriched my creative process, helping me develop a unique voice in my work.
5. What emotions or messages do you seek to convey through your photographs?
I aim to convey the beauty, strength, and diversity of modern women. Each photograph tells a story that reflects their resilience and unique qualities. I want viewers to feel inspired by the various facets of womanhood and to celebrate the different ways in which women express their beauty and strength.
6. What themes or narratives define your exhibitions the most?
The themes of my two exhibitions revolve around women. My photography consistently showcases vibrant colors and the beauty of the human’s body shape . In recent years, I have incorporated elements of pole dancing and yoga into my work. The selected photos for my exhibitions aim to express the balance of strength and grace in women’s forms.
7. How do you prepare emotionally and artistically before curating your solo exhibitions?
For my first I develop my themes based on my own interests and preferences., the theme of my first photography exhibition was related to aerial yoga and pole dancing, which stemmed from my personal interests and strengths in photography. The second exhibition was inspired by colors I love and Japanese fashion that resonates with me.
8. Which country or culture has inspired your lens the most, and why?
Japan has profoundly inspired my work. Its rich culture, aesthetic sensibilities, and deep respect for nature resonate deeply with me. The balance of tradition and modernity in Japanese life inspires my photography and encourages me to explore similar contrasts in my own culture.
9. Do you believe photography and pageantry share a similar language of expression?
Yes, both photography and pageantry convey messages through visual storytelling. They allow for self-expression and the exploration of identity. Each captures moments of beauty and emotion, connecting with audiences on a personal level.

My television experience has significantly boosted my confidence and stage presence. It has taught me how to engage with an audience, convey emotions authentically, and embrace spontaneity. These skills translate well into both modeling and photography.
11. How do you personally connect the worlds of art, fashion, and media?
I see art, fashion, and media as interconnected realms that influence and inspire one another. My work as a photographer allows me to capture the essence of fashion while conveying artistic narratives, and media serves as a powerful platform to share these stories with a broader audience.
12. What challenges have you faced as a woman artist and model in such competitive industries?
As a woman in these industries, I’ve faced challenges like navigating stereotypes and balancing personal and professional expectations. However, I’ve learned to embrace these challenges as opportunities for growth, using my special experiences to empower others.

14. What does empowerment mean to you, especially for young women in Macau and Asia?
Empowerment means providing young women with the tools and confidence to pursue their dreams while embracing diversity and fostering inclusivity. For young women in Macau and Asia, it’s essential to create an environment where they can express themselves freely, learn from a rich tapestry of knowledge, and support one another in their journeys. Empowerment also involves advocating for gender equality, ensuring that women have equal opportunities to thrive and contribute to society.

I maintain creativity by allowing myself the freedom to explore new ideas and techniques. I embrace spontaneity by capturing candid moments and letting go of perfectionism. This balance encourages fresh perspectives and authentic expressions in my work.
16. Who are the photographers or artists that inspire your aesthetic vision?
The photographer who inspires my aesthetic vision is Ninagawa Mika. Her style, characterized by vibrant, saturated colors and stunning floral arrangements, deeply influences my photography. She captures fleeting moments in a way that creates a dreamlike atmosphere, intertwining reality with elements of fantasy. By blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with contemporary pop culture, her work resonates with me and encourages me to explore similar themes. Through symbols like flowers and goldfish, she conveys the beauty of transience and the impermanence of life, inspiring me to incorporate these ideas into my own artistic expression.

The evolution of fashion photography is exciting, with digital and AI technologies opening new avenues for creativity. While these tools enhance possibilities, they also challenge us to maintain the human touch and authenticity that define true artistry.

I hope that through my experience in the upcoming pageant, I can share with all women that, even as a mature woman who is married and has children, each of us possesses our own unique beauty and strengths. Every woman, at different stages of life, has her own distinct charm and qualities that are worthy of appreciation. As Miss Peace Macau 2026, as an artist, and as a woman, I aspire to leave a legacy that celebrates this individuality and empowers women to embrace their unique beauty.
