Kaya Boogaarts @xxjes_kaya

Perumira is honored to introduce Kaya Boogaarts, an international model and one of the Netherlands’ most versatile and distinguished beauty queens. Born and raised in the charming town of Waalwijk, Kaya enjoyed a childhood surrounded by safe neighborhoods, outdoor playgrounds, and lively cultural life—elements that shaped her grounded, joyful, and community-centered personality. Today she resides in Sprang-Capelle, remaining close to her roots and the family who have supported her every step of the way.

For Kaya, pageantry is more than a career—it is a true calling. Whether competing on stage or coaching others on the catwalk, she finds purpose in empowering women through advocacy, authenticity, and self-expression. She embraces the essence of modern pageantry: not just beauty, but voice, message, and impact. Her humor and warmth shine in everyday moments, like filming social media videos while her curious cat insists on joining the spotlight.

Kaya’s journey began when she discovered that beauty could be a platform to communicate values, champion sustainability, and inspire others. Each title she has earned represents a chapter built on resilience, passion, and continuous self-growth. Though recognition still feels surreal to her, she carries it with humility and a commitment to uplift those who look up to her.

What distinguishes Kaya is her balance of strength and gentleness—an imposing presence paired with genuine empathy. She believes the core virtues of an international model are kindness, respect, uniqueness, and authenticity. Through her path, Kaya hopes to show young women that staying true to oneself is the most powerful form of influence.

1.- Kaya, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?

I’m Kaya Boogaarts, 25 years old and born and raised in a small town named Waalwijk. Now at the moment I live in Sprang-Capelle a small town next to Waalwijk. What I like about my hometown is that as a child I had to change to go to so many playground outside. It was and is a safe area. It is close by forests but also full of life with the festivals.

That is why I still live really close by my parents and hometown.

2.- What are your hobbies?  what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?

My hobby’s, I always like this quastion. Because pageantry is really a hobby of mine. I really enjoy this community. When I’m doing a pageant or when I’m a catwalk coach I’m feeling home.

This is because pageant is so much more than a good looking girl. It is about your voice, advocacy, how you walk and who you really are.

What makes me laugh is inside jokes with love ones, when my cat is doing silly things for example: I’m makeing a catwalk video for social media, and my cat is watching me in front of my camera.

3.- International Model, Miss Supraglobal Netherlands 2025  , Mrs Netherlands Europe, Miss Ela’schoice, Miss World Tourism Netherland. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?

I took my first steps into modeling and pageantry when I realized that beauty could be a voice not just a look.

It started with a deep desire to express myself, to represent my values, and to inspire others through storytelling, fashion, and advocacy. Achieving my dreams today feels like standing in a garden I’ve nurtured with passion, resilience, and purpose. But still learning about myself.

Being recognized as an influencer woman means I carry not just a crown, but a responsibility to uplift, to educate, and to create space for others to bloom. But this feels sometimes still unreal.

Every title I’ve earned is a chapter in a story that’s still being written one of empowerment, authenticity, and hope. And I know that this chapter will be continued.

4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Kaya in each activity carried out as a  beauty queen and model?

My distinctive stamp in every activity as a beauty queen and model is the fusion of purpose and authenticity. I never step into a space just to be seen, I step in to represent something deeper. Whether it’s through symbolic fashion, empowering speeches, or community actions, I bring a message of sustainability, sisterhood, and self-expression.

People often assume, when I walk into a room, that I carry a strong, even intimidating presence. But those who truly get to know me discover a softness rooted in empathy and humanity. I stand for connection, not perfection for creating spaces where others feel safe to be themselves. That contrast between outer strength and inner gentleness is part of my essence, and it’s what makes my advocacy real.

5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?

What I think the main virtue is for every women that wants to be a international model is kindness, respect, uniqueness and that one of a kind factor.

6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?

I’m not really aware of being an influential woman, to be honest. I just try to stay true to myself, lead with kindness and respect, and if that inspires others, I feel deeply honored.

7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?

What I felt the first time on stages by my first beauty pageant was: unforgettable. It was a feeling of joy, hard work and everything is coming together. It felt like a one’s in a life time experience. But that one’s is now not a one’s anymore. But every single time that I step on stage I feel the same as the first time.

8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?

What I think about the power of social media is: Social media has its good and bad sides. If you’re honest with yourself, you can show who you want to be online but who are you really behind the screen? As miss myself, I often share campaign-related activities on my social media, and less of my daily life. Is that good? Is it wrong? That’s a question.

What I truly believe about social media is that everyone should feel free to be their authentic self. You can choose what to show, and you can choose to hide what makes you feel insecure. But the real question is: is that necessary? That’s the taboo we’re all trying to break together.

The other side of social media is connection. You can meet so many people from all over the world which I’m experiencing now through my Miss Supraglobal sisters. I get to connect with them and get to know them before we even arrive in India for our competition. Everything has its pros and cons… so what should I really think of it?

9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?

I love talking with my followers, sharing real moments and positive energy. Instagram is my favorite—it’s where I can inspire and connect through images and stories.

10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?

To young people: Your talent is a gift, and the world needs your light. Don’t wait for perfect confidence just take one step. Growth begins when you dare to believe in yourself, even a little.

To parents: Support means everything. Even if you don’t fully understand your child’s dream, your encouragement can be the reason they succeed.

11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?

The most important lesson I have learned is to be true to yourself. Don’t do things you don’t want to and do things you love. And let no one tell you that you can’t. And if someone tells you: you can’t, show them you can!

12.- Kaya, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?

The answer to this question is simple: no, it isn’t easy at all. When I was younger, I faced my own obstacles. I struggled with an eating disorder, but through that journey I discovered something profound the true meaning of life is to love yourself first.

13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?

I’ve always been drawn to storytelling whether through fashion, advocacy, or visual art. Acting, to me, is another powerful way to express truth and emotion. While I haven’t pursued it professionally, I deeply admire the entertainment industry’s potential to inspire, challenge norms, and amplify voices that matter. If the right opportunity aligned with my values, I’d embrace it wholeheartedly.

14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?

I believe the future of women in these societies depends on two forces: education and empowerment. When women are given access to knowledge, safe spaces, and platforms to raise their voices, change becomes inevitable. Even in places where oppression still exists, I see a growing wave of resilience women supporting women (sisterhood), communities rising together, and youth demanding justice. The role of women will not just expand; it will transform these societies from within.

15.- Kaya, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?

My motivation in life I want to make a difference. I believe in creating beauty with meaning, inspiring others to love themselves, and helping future generations live in a cleaner, kinder world. My journey has taught me that real change starts with self-love and the courage to speak up. That’s what drives me every day.

Grateful for my family’s love, my health, the chance to inspire others, the beauty of nature, small moments of joy.

16.- Kaya, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?

Yes, I love to travel if it’s one of the most powerful ways to connect with cultures, stories, and people. I’ve had the honor of representing the Netherlands internationally, which has allowed me to explore countries like Belgium, Sri Lanka and Bulgaria, each with its own unique beauty and symbolism.

I’d love to visit places like Sri Lanka (again), Switzerland, Curacao, Belgium and ofcourse India. From my country, I always recommend visiting the Dutch coast, the tulip fields in spring, and cities like Utrecht and Maastricht they offer a blend of tradition, charm, and modern creativity.

Travel, to me, is not just movement it’s meaning.

17.- You and me (Jaime William) are going to play ping pong, I will tell you one word and you will answer with another word that comes to your mind.

18.- Kaya, your last words or final tips

Lead with empathy, create with purpose, and never underestimate the ripple effect of your actions. Whether you’re on stage, in a classroom, or cleaning up a park, you are shaping the future.

Let your story be a bridge between cultures, generations, and dreams. And remember: the most beautiful legacy is one that lifts others as it rises.
