1. – Jennifer, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born in The Hague, and I find it a pleasant city because there is always something to do—whether going out, shopping, or spending time with friends who live nearby. I grew up in a loving family with parents and a younger sister who always support me in every choice I make.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
My hobbies include horseback riding—ever since I could talk and walk, I’ve loved horses! I even have my own horse now. I also absolutely love working with makeup and enjoy learning new things about it. I’m a huge fan of festivals, especially enjoying them with the sun shining, my favorite music, and being surrounded by good people. I can also really enjoy myself at the beach.
3.-International Model, Miss Fashion 2025 Finalist. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
As a child, I always dreamed of becoming a model; I found it so beautiful to see. Unfortunately, during my teenage years, I was much fuller, which hurt my confidence. I was bullied a lot, and my self-image wasn’t great. At 19, I began to make my dream a reality by first losing weight and feeling good in my body. With amazing results—I lost 36 kilos! And now I’m healthy! A friend of mine, whom I’ve known for years, was already in the modeling world, so in February, I asked her where to start. I posted a message on Facebook to practice with Time for Portfolio shoots and build a portfolio while learning the ins and outs. I signed up with BePrettyModels and got a contract with this agency.
The photoshoots have helped me grow immensely in terms of self-love and self-image. I’ve never loved myself as much as I do now. When I saw the first photos, I thought, “Wow, is that me?!” Soon after, I heard about beauty pageants. I was 27 when I applied for Miss Fashion, and after some hesitation, I thought this was my chance for personal growth. I signed up and am incredibly happy because it’s so much more than just beauty.
I’m growing and learning so much and have met so many lovely girls! This definitely won’t be my last pageant. I’m incredibly proud—years ago, I would never have dreamed that I would now be a finalist for Miss Fashion and a model with an agency!
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Jennifer in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I think my uniqueness is that I see the beauty in every person. Everyone deserves to be seen for their beautiful qualities, because every person has them! In my activities, I see myself radiating and enjoying the dreams I’ve made come true in every photo, and I can proudly say, “Hey, that’s me in that picture.”
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
The most important virtue a woman must have to become a model is embracing her inner beauty and focusing on the beautiful things she has. Loving yourself will make you shine in photos! Beauty is not just on the outside, and everyone is beautiful in their own way. Embrace that, and you will glow!
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I’m very aware that I am an influence for many girls and that I could be a role model. I want to be an example that the perfect image doesn’t exist and that a model with curves can also be beautiful. I want to be an idol for many girls so that insecurity and low self-esteem are unnecessary—that a healthy weight is also good and perfect.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
My first final is on October 26, and I find it super exciting and awesome! The semi-final was very thrilling but gave me such a boost, like, “Look, I’m standing here proudly!” I enjoy the Miss Fashion journey immensely. The first time in front of the camera took some getting used to but gave me a huge boost, like, “I’m finally making my dream come true.”
I’m now on my way to becoming a model, and when I saw the results, I was very surprised. I thought, “Wow, I can actually do this!” I was extremely proud, even though it was all quite nerve-wracking.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
I find the power of social media very intense. A lot is heavily photoshopped, leading many girls and boys to strive for an ideal image that is neither physically nor mentally possible. I would love to see more of the reality. Even I can feel insecure because of social media, and I don’t think that’s okay.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
Instagram is my favorite social media platform. I have my portfolio there, and I enjoy posting my work, showing my journey to the crown, and inspiring people that a body with curves and a healthy weight is the most beautiful thing there is! Everyone has a pure beauty that they can be proud of!
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
If you have talents, show them to the world! Be proud and share them in small steps—that’s how I started because I found it exciting. But be proud of yourself and ignore the people who post negative comments—often, it’s jealousy. Believe in yourself, and only then can you take steps forward!
If your parents don’t support you or don’t understand, involve them in the process and show them! Most importantly, follow your heart. If parents see their child is happy, acceptance and pride will follow.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
I’ve learned to love myself in every way and to be proud of myself. Even if the steps are small, you’re doing your best, and that’s all you can do! I’ve learned to be proud of every step, even if it’s just a small one.
12.- Jennifer, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
Becoming a model wasn’t easy for me because of the obstacles in my mind—I didn’t think I was pretty enough, thin enough, or good enough. I overcame those obstacles through the people who believed in me and especially my good friend, who was already a model and gave me that final push, saying, “You can do this.”
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I have definitely thought about becoming an actress, and the entertainment industry really appeals to me, ever since I was a child. Who knows, maybe that dream will come true too!
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I believe that men and women should be treated equally all over the world. A woman doesn’t deserve to be treated badly—no one does, regardless of who you are. Everyone deserves love and respect. In my eyes, a perfect world is one where respect is equal.
15.- Jennifer, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is to enjoy life with my loved ones, the animals around me, to see the positive in the world, and to enjoy the little things in life. I’m thankful for living a healthy life, for having food, drink, and a warm home to live in, and for all the love from my boyfriend, parents, family, and friends.
16.- Jennifer, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I love to travel and have been to France, Croatia, Spain, Belgium, and Germany. I’d love to go to Ibiza, Curaçao, Dubai, and America—I’d actually like to travel the world!
In the Netherlands, I recommend visiting the Veluwe, where you’ll find beautiful forests and sand plains. Sometimes, you can even spot wild animals like deer and wild boars—it’s so much fun! Of course, I also recommend The Hague, my birthplace, where you have Scheveningen beach, with lots to do in the summer months.
17.- Jennifer, your last words or final tips
Believe in yourself, even when the valley is so deep—the light at the end of the tunnel will appear as long as you believe in yourself and follow your own heart and path. Doing what makes you happy is important on the road to success.
Greetings,
Miss Fashion Finalist Jennifer
