It is an honor to present from Serbia Jelena Kepic, artist, fashion designer, lover of colors, of life. Jelena gives me a wonderful interview and we meet her today.

1.- Jelena , you were born in Serbia ,What do you like about your hometown in Serbia? What are your hobbies?
I was born in Serbia,but I lived in Barcelona and now I live in Budapest.
So,I can say the whole of Europe is my home.
I enjoy reading books, watching movies, playing with my dog and I take inspiration for my next step.
2.- What makes you laugh a lot or does it give you a lot of joy?
Positive people make me laugh as well as positive vibes.
But I’m a fan of satire,irony and black humor . It makes me laugh more than classic humor.
3.- Fashion designer, , When do you decide to take your first steps as Fashion designer? How is it that you decide to venture into the world of fashion, how do you start creating? What do you think when creating, during the process? Do you like it?
Sometimes I think I knew as soon as I was born that I would be an artist.
In my earliest childhood I started drawing and since then I haven’t let the colors out of my hands.I knew I would enroll in design high school then academy .When you have focus on everything goes by itself.
The most important thing is the great support of the parents.
When I create the brain works fast,sometimes I think it’s faster than me.
I enjoy every moment of creation.
4.- Jelena, what do you think distinguishes you and your creations in each garment? What is the design process of Jelena, How do you get inspired, who do you think of? Is the result as you propose?
I make each of my collections very studious. I first examine in detail the topic that inspired me,and then I start to work. Some topics are realized after a few years. My inspirations are often music, SF and horror movies, fairy tailes, cartoons, childhood, travel, art history but it can also be one second of a moment of my life. But my huge inspiration is one and only Michael Jackson.
5.- What expectations – pending task do you think you have? What are the next steps as a designer?
There are plans always.At the moment I’m creating a collection for fashion shows in Italy and Spain.
I’m also in collaboration with Flying Solo NY.
But my great wish is to participate at NY Fashion Week.
6.- What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
Be careful what you wish, it can come true!
7.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be fashion designers? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
We should not look for idols in others, we need to be idols to ourselves.
We should listen only our intuition,the roads will open on their own.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
The power of social media is huge and if we know how to use it ,it can be the perfect thing.It can make our jobs and lives easier.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I have never had a bad experience interacting with my followers.
Instagram is definitely my favorite social media.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
Fear is our gratest enemy. We must learn to confront our fears and then the world is ours. The first step is to confront our parents and convince them that art is our life.If you fail at it in the beginning, then you are not for the art world .
I was lucky that my parents supported me to the maximum and made my journey easier .
Our children are persons not our property.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion?
Be your own and follow your intuition.
12.- Jelena, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
There are always obstacles ,you just have to skip them.
Every job is hard ,but if you love it ,it becomes easier.
Fashion is work,love and play.
13.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Today the roles of man and woman are mixed and the situation is very confusing.The roles are confusing not only at work but also in the family.
The family is losing its strength that it had until recently.
I’m really sorry about that.
A man should be a man and woman a woman,to support and respect each other so that children can grow into healthy and strong people.
14.- Jelena, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
Mental and physical health for all of us.
If you have it , we can move mountains together.
15.- Jelena Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from Serbia?
I love to travel.I know a lot of countries and I have friends all over the world.
I didn’t get to visit United States and that’s my biggest wish.
Serbia has a lot of beautiful places to visit.
There is an amazing nature that deserves more attention and care.
