1,- Inge, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. What do you like about your hometown?
I am Inge Verhouden , full-time model , actress and influencer in mainly the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany. I have also worked in Norway , Bulgaria and Spain.
I was born in Bergeijk , which is a small village in Brabant near Eindhoven. I lived there for 2 years and then moved to the city.
After that I ran 2 successful fashion stores for 15 years. After that I made a conscious choice to focus more on modeling.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
My hobbies are eating out , enjoying with friends , cinema and vacationing . In short the nice things in life and enjoying the small things and each other.
I am happiest when I have my loved ones around me and everyone is happy.
As for my work, I am also happiest when we have a fantastic shoot or film together with the whole crew and that the client is satisfied.
3.-International Model. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I was 16 years old when I started training at a modeling agency . Even as a little girl I went with my mother to fashion shows and then thought , that’s what I want to do later.
I liked to look at fashion magazines and played a lot with dolls which I then dressed up very nicely.
That is why I developed a love for fashion and modeling at an early age, which resulted in what I will do later on.
I have a huge drive from myself and from my parents , who are also self-employed all their lives .
I also really think that has been 1 of the biggest reasons for my success , perseverance and strength
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Inge in each activity carried out as a model?
I guess my unique stamp is the open , enthusiastic look in my eyes.
I radiate confidence and people can identify with me .
I am often booked back once they know me because I am easily accessible and nice to work with.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
I think if you want to be a successful model you should not be selfish , be easily adaptable and have a lot of patience 🙂
Of course along the physical characteristics you must have your own unique self. That has nothing to do with beautiful but with charisma.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I don’t so much want to be an idol for young budding models but I do hope they will take an example from me in terms of integrity and sobriety.
That they don’t let themselves be promised golden mountains without having to do anything for it.
Being a model is hard and you have to believe in yourself.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera?
The first few years I was also always nervous and somewhat insecure in front of the camera but as you do this more often you become more sure of yourself and it gets better and better.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
The pressure on social media is , as far as I’m concerned, way too high. Only perfect people are put down and reality is gone.
This does worry me at times . You have to be strong in your shoes and try not to let it bother you and believe in what you are doing.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I have many followers on instagram and of course I really like that they are interested in me and I do give them , to where I can , a like back. Am very grateful with their.
My favorite social media is Instagram. I don’t do much on Facebook anymore.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
If you would like to become a model then I advise you to go for your dream.
If you never dare then you can’t win either.
Just go for it , where there is a will there is a way.
Go find a good photographer and have nice pictures taken and send them to some agency s . That is often how it starts.
If I was older I would help and encourage them but make sure they keep both feet on the ground and do not have too many expectations.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion?
An important lesson I have learned in modeling life is that you have to trust yourself , believe in yourself and go for it yourself.
Not depend on others and pursue your own goal.
Staying yourself at always .
12.- Inge, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
To be a model does not come naturally , of course it comes with ups and downs. As long as you learn from the downs and enjoy the ups.
Above all continue in a positive way is my tip.
Of course, I also had obstacles. The fashion world is also a world full of jealousy and envy. I find that very difficult to deal with . Now after 25 years I still do.
It’s a world where you are alone , friends you don’t have here. Everyone goes for himself . Only in the last few years have I been able to get rid of this.
You have to rise above it.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
About 10 years ago I also started acting with it , which provides variety and makes it fun. Really big roles I don’t do.
Photography remains my number 1.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I think women are very important in our society. They have a different view of things than men anyway. A good balance and mix is good I think.
They are just as important as men.
15.- Inge, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
I am very grateful and happy every morning because I am healthy.
Surely that is the most important thing in life.
I also have a nice family, husband and 2 daughters aged 14 and 16.
We have a good time together and enjoy being with family and friends. I am very grateful for that.
16.- Inge, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
Furthermore, I like to go on vacation , it does not have to be far for me.
Europe has such beautiful places. I like to go to Ibiza , Mallorca , Greece .
For my work in Germany and the Netherlands also has beautiful places 🙂
