1. – Eva, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born and raised in Utrecht, near the city center. Over the past 21 years living here, I’ve grown to appreciate and love the city more and more.
What I love most about Utrecht is its coziness and the diversity of people who live here. After exploring more of Utrecht in the last few years, I’ve discovered countless charming shops and beautiful streets. There isn’t any other city in the Netherlands where I would rather live
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
My hobbies are quite diverse. Since I was young, I have always loved making music, whether by singing or playing the guitar or piano. My father loves to play the guitar and has 11 different ones! Growing up in a musical household, I was surrounded by music. Now that I’m older, I still play the guitar and sing, and I occasionally play the piano too.
Apart from music, I also love makeup. I started experimenting with it when I was just 9 years old. In 2023, I decided to take a makeup course to further develop my skills. I completed the course in April this year, and I can now proudly say that I’m a professional makeup artist. I’ve successfully turned my hobby into my work. Additionally, I enjoy creating videos on social media to inspire people in various areas of beauty.
My family, boyfriend, and friends bring me a lot of joy as well. I love spending time with them. My sister, in particular, makes me laugh a lot. We share a special bond that I deeply cherish.
3.-International Model, Miss Beauty of Utrecht 2025 Finalist. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
When I was younger, my sister developed an interest in photography, so I often modeled for her. This gave me the opportunity to become familiar with the camera. I loved taking pictures, and later, I also started creating videos.
In January of last year, I wanted to challenge myself, so I became interested in beauty pageants. I already knew someone in the industry and followed her journey, which piqued my curiosity. After speaking with her, I decided to give it a try and signed up for the casting. Since the season had already started, I enrolled for the 2025 competition. I was invited to the casting and later selected as one of the finalists.
Chasing your dreams and passions is an amazing feeling. This new challenge has already provided me with so many opportunities and allowed me to meet wonderful people. I love being a positive influence on other women, and I aspire to inspire.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Eva in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
The distinctive stamp I aim to leave is the belief in yourself and the importance of working towards your dreams. I want to show people that everything is possible if you’re ready to put in the effort. Nothing comes easy, but if you’re determined to rise to the challenge, everything will eventually fall into place.
People often believe that the grass is greener on the other side, but I always say the grass is greener where you water it. It’s essential to reflect on yourself first—what can you do, and how can you grow into the best version of yourself to fully make teh most out of this beautiful life
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
I think one of the main virtues to become an international model is to have a strong will and ambition to go after your dream. I would also say its important to present yourself in a good way.
Be your authentic self while also being kind, interested and grateful. If you’re going to be an international model it’s important to gain connections and broaden your network
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I am aware that I am now in the public eye and that women aspiring to pursue a career in pageants or modeling may look up to me. This is a role I gladly take on.
When I was 11 years old, I gained two baby sisters. As the youngest sibling at the time, I suddenly became a big sister. Over time, I learned to embrace this role and aimed to be the best version of myself, not only for me but also for them.
Now, I love and appreciate the opportunity to be a role model for others, as inspiring people is something I deeply enjoy.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
The first time I modeled in front of a camera was a bit nerve-wracking. Whenever I stand in front of a camera, I feel I need to adjust a bit at first. But once I’m in the flow, I always remember the great feeling and confidence it brings. Modeling in front of a camera is exciting and allows me to express myself through different poses.
The first time at a beauty pageant is still yet to come. Preparing for the final has been a mix of excitement and nerves in the best possible way. I’m looking forward to the pageant finale and am ready to give it my all.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
The power of social media today is incredible. It offers endless opportunities—whether starting a business, sharing your message, or promoting a cause. Social media platforms can be a strong tool to achieve success.
However, there’s also a downside. Many people, especially teenagers, struggle with insecurity and addiction due to these platforms. I believe we should aim to make social media as authentic as possible and use it to inspire rather than create unnecessary pressure.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I like to interact with my followers on social media mostly by posts. For the longest time, Instagram has been my favorite platform. Lately I’ve been figuring out Tiktok as well. On there I like to post about beauty and fashion and strive to inspire people trough my videos.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
I would advise young people to change their mindset a bit, because in the end it all comes down to your mindset. I would encourage people to just take the step and see how it will all evolve. Taking the next step can be scary sometimes, but once you’re on the other side you’ll realise it’s actually empowering. You’ll stop caring what others think and just do you. I like to emphasize that you only live once, and at the end of the day you’ll regret not doing something more than taking the step and trying. If you don’t play, you won’t win.
I would advise parents that its important for their children to have the ability to develop themselves and their talents. That even though as a parent you want to protect your children, it’s also important to let them fail and try again. And if you don’t support your children’s talents or interests that that might be okay as well. At the end of the day we’re all individuals and nobody will ever be the same as the other person. So sometimes you might dislike something your children do, but you can give them the space to grow and develop these talents.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
To always stay true to yourself. Pretending to be someone you’re not might seem like an easy way forward, but it will eventually take a toll on you. It’s important to be yourself and act with grace and gratitude while moving trough the world of pageants.
Also, give it your all. It’s better to say you tried your best than to regret not putting in enough effort. However, don’t forget to respect your boundaries and enjoy the journey.
12.- Eva, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
Being a model always comes with its challenges. Fortunately, I’ve been lucky not to encounter too many obstacles so far. I love being in front of the camera and posing—it feels natural and fulfilling. However, I understand that challenges are inevitable in this industry, and I am prepared to face them as they come.
One of the things I appreciate is that the modeling industry is evolving. It has become more inclusive and accepting of diverse people, which is a positive change. At the same time, there is still significant progress to be made in terms of diversity and inclusivity. My advice to anyone starting in this field is to stay true to yourself. Authenticity is essential for personal growth and success in the long term.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
When I was younger, I definitely considered becoming an actress. The idea of stepping into someone else’s shoes and living a different life through a character always fascinated me. However, I never actively pursued acting, and as a result, I don’t feel equipped to pursue it now.
Over the years, I’ve also come to understand how challenging acting can be. While working as a makeup artist on a film set, I saw firsthand the dedication it takes to perform the same scenes repeatedly and stay in character. It gave me immense respect for actors and actresses who consistently bring characters to life.
That said, I’ve always admired the entertainment industry and see myself thriving in it in other ways. I hope that in the future, I’ll find opportunities to work within this exciting field, whether through modeling, makeup artistry, or other roles.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I believe that the women in these societies must stand together to challenge their oppressors. Of course, this is easier said than done. That’s why I think it’s crucial for women from countries where gender equality has progressed to extend their support to those still fighting for their rights.
This support can take many forms, such as raising awareness, organizing campaigns, or fundraising to provide resources. We need to speak up about these issues and refuse to remain silent. As history has shown in other parts of the world, change is possible when people unite and advocate for justice.
I firmly believe that by working together globally, we can strive to achieve freedom and equality for all women.
15.- Eva, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation comes from within. The last few months I’ve really thought about what motivates and drives me. And the biggest motivation for me is that I want to get everything out of this life that I can, I want to explore and develop my talents and interests.
And I want to enjoy every experience that falls upon my path. I’m also motivated by my family. It’s something I feel grateful for> I strive to be the best versión of myself not only for me but for them as well..
I like to be a role model to my sisters and to others. This is something that motivates me. I’m also grateful for every person in my inner circle, grateful for their love and support. I’m also thankful for the opportunity to participate in this pageant and to be able to develop myself more and gain more confidence.
16.- Eva, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I do love to travel, one of my favorite places to travel to is Greece. Since my father took me there for my 18th birthday I fell in love with the people, the culture and of course the breathtaking view. Since then, I’ve made it a tradition to visit Greece every year, exploring a different island or location each time..
Aside from that I’ve visited several European countries and have also been to the UnitedStates. Going back to the US is something that I would love, I really want to explore the east and west coast more. I also would love to visit Asia and then specifically Indonesia, as this is the country where my heritage partly originates. In my country I would recommend for people to visit Utrecht, the city center, and Amersfoort as well. Because Amersfoort is a place I’ve grown to love as well since part of my family lives there too. Both cities are perfect for discovering the beauty and culture of the Netherlands.
