1.- Edina, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?

I was born in the heart of Europe, specifically in Slovakia. I come from Košice, which is the second largest city in Slovakia. I love living in Slovakia. Although it’s a smaller country compared to some others, there are many great opportunities and beautiful things here, which is why I personally consider this country very special. I love our culture and I enjoy traditional Slovak dishes. I would definitely recommend them to any tourist. Slovakia also has beautiful nature, especially the Tatra Mountains. Since I love nature and sports, I spend a lot of time outdoors.

2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?

Overall, I consider myself a very active person, which is why one of my favorite hobbies is definitely sports. I would mention pole dancing, which is one of my passions. I also like horseback riding, it’s a great way to relax. Since I work as a psychologist, I need a high dose of relaxation. As another hobby, I would definitely mention baking. Baking, whether for my loved ones or for the general public, whenever possible.

3.-International Model. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?

When I was younger, I used to watch beauty pageants at home with my parents, and I was absolutely fascinated by them. I always dreamed of being on stage myself, but honestly, I never really believed it would happen. Then, when I was about 17, a friend asked me to model for a school project. We took some portrait photos, and they turned out really well. The photographer decided to post them on social media, and that’s when everything started. I began receiving offers for various photo shoots, and I successfully attended several castings on my own. I would describe it as a ‘chain reaction’ – the more people knew me, the more offers and opportunities I had. Eventually, I entered several beauty contests. I would definitely highlight the Photomodel of Europe competition, which helped me build a lot of contacts with various designers and photographers who I still work with today. Those were my beginnings; in other words, this competition launched my career. Most recently, I competed in Italy, representing my country at Miss Europe cont. It was an incredible experience.

4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Edina in each activity carried out as a model?

Personally, I think that, like any job, being a model has its pros and cons. Since I also work as a psychologist, I don’t always have as much time for other activities as I would like. I would definitely consider this a negative. However, one of the positives is that I can use my platform to not only share my opinions but also regularly help women who have low self-esteem and support them in their personal growth. Every woman is beautiful, and true beauty comes from within, something that every woman needs to discover within herself.

5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?

In my subjective opinion, the main virtue that every international model must have is a healthy self-image. Self-worth that truly comes from a woman’s inner conviction. There’s also the motif of taking care of one’s own well-being, not only physically but also mentally. If a woman feels internally balanced and satisfied with herself, she will radiate this to her surroundings, and others will perceive her in this way. Of course, taking care of one’s physical appearance is also essential, especially in the modeling industry. If a woman can ‘captivate’ her surroundings with her physical appearance and then also charm her surroundings with her inner beauty – as they say, she’s won the situation.

6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?

I am personally aware of the impact that social media has on the lives of women and young girls. In this modern era, where things are changing very rapidly, people are changing as well. Social media is becoming an increasingly important part of people’s lives. Through media and social networks, many women can find inspiration. Women can share information with each other through photos and videos that they post on social media. I have personally experienced many kinds of feedback, both positive and negative. It’s clear that not everyone will wish you success, but I care much more about those individuals whom I inspire with my actions and opinions to become better people – first and foremost for themselves. I strongly advocate for positive attitudes and support for women. I like the idea of mutual help, even through social media.

7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera?

Initially, when I was constantly in front of the camera, I naturally felt a bit of stress. It was an unfamiliar situation for me, but I was able to relax after a while. I generally consider myself photogenic, so I didn’t have any problems after that. With each photo shoot, I improved, and my stress decreased.

8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?

As I mentioned earlier, social media has a huge impact in today’s world. It can both motivate people and push them into complete distress. There are countless filters and various plastic surgeries thanks to which women beautify themselves. In some cases, this can also trigger a tendency to compare oneself, which can lead women to feel inferior and jealous. In today’s world, it’s as if the concept of natural beauty has been completely forgotten. Personally, I haven’t undergone any cosmetic procedures; I promote the naturalness of every woman. We are not all the same; beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And it’s precisely our uniqueness that makes us beautiful people.

9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?

I usually share a story or post a photo from a photoshoot or my daily life. Occasionally, I also collaborate on promoting cosmetic products. In the past, I devoted more time to social media than I do now. My favorites are Instagram and Facebook.

10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?

I would definitely advise them to overcome their fears and step out of their comfort zone. If you have a talent, go for it. You never know who might notice you and see something more in you. I would certainly recommend to parents to support their children, of course, based on a mutual agreement so that it is acceptable for both parties.

11.- Edina, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?

Being a model in this era has never been easy. From a career standpoint, the competition is constantly growing, and personal life priorities are also increasing. Personally, I haven’t encountered too many serious obstacles, perhaps only with envious individuals who were jealous of my career, and there were also people who tried to sabotage me. How did I overcome it? I learned that not everything requires my reaction. When you do good and have pure intentions, life will eventually reward you.

12.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?

I never considered becoming an actress. In fact, I’ve never acted professionally; I’ve only worked as a model or photo model. My photos and videos have often appeared on various e-commerce websites, social media platforms, exhibitions, and even television.

13.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?

It’s an interesting question that I really like. I think the most important thing is for women to remain true to themselves in any situation and not allow external influences to diminish their self-worth. Sometimes, women face difficult situations in the world, but if they lose themselves, who will be left?

14.- Edina, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?

My daily motivation is to become an even better person than I am today. I am working on myself and striving to achieve my dreams. As they say, no pain, no gain. I believe that one day I will become exactly the person I have always envisioned.

15.- Edina, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?

I love traveling and have visited several countries. Italy is definitely one of my favorites. I would recommend it to everyone, especially for its fantastic cuisine, haha.

17.- Edina, your last words or final tips

Never give up on your dreams, for you never know when fate will turn in your favor. Do good deeds, they will come back to you. Be a kind-hearted person, for love is what connects people. Working with love and doing things with passion is my secret to life; this is what I call the miracle of life. See the world with your heart, perceive the inner beauty of people, and don’t be fooled by illusions. Do what you love, what fulfills you, and spread happiness.
