1. – Diane, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I grew up in IJsselstein in Utrecht. It is a nice little town and the most beautiful thing about IJsselstein is, as we call it, “the town”. It is the center and has nice stores and each Friday a market.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I like reading, walking, baking, watching movies, gaming on the ps5, going for drinks, go to the spa, playing games with friends.
I also like doing photoshoots or making my own pictures ☺
3.- Curvy Model, Miss Elite Diversity Netherlands 2024 Finalist. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
My first steps where a year ago… A friend of mine is a photographer and he wants to make beautiful pictures of me. It was a lot of fun and there where more photographers that want to take beautiful pictures of a curvy model. That is how it all started.
Then I saw on Instagram about the Miss Diversity pageant and I want to try it! It was so much fun and I met so much lovely people.
I hope to inspire some more beautiful woman to be their best selve. To see how beautiful they are in each shape or vorm… Just the way they are
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Diane in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I am myself. I am not perfect and maybe not good enough in others their eyes.. but I am proud of myself.
I love myself most of the time, am proud of my curves. I am an open person, more laughing then sad, likes to make jokes, has a bit sarcasme…. But in a funny way 😋 I have a listening ear for anyone who needs it.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
Just be your own person. Don’t try to copy someone else. Let them see you and own it.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I really don’t know that 🤭 but I hope that I inspire a lot of People and a lot of beautiful girls who are insecure or don’t see their own Beauty
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
The first times where so exciting, a bit scary in the beginning but also a lot of fun. There was so much to learn and I meet so much lovely people.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
I think social media has a lot of power… It can be really bad but it can also be used for the good I think.
To let others see that there is more then 1 beauty standard.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I like Instagram the most. A lot of people have found me there. That is how I find the pageants and also new photographers.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
I would say .. go for it! Don’t think about what others think of you… They always have an opinion. Do what ever makes you happy.
I would like to tell the parents to just support them. Even there is no future in it…it is so important to do something that you like.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
That there are a lot of beautiful people. It is hard work and there is always a lot to learn but it is so much fun… it makes you feel good to stand there and have people supporting you.
12.- Diane, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
It is not always easy. I too am not always sure about myself. then I can’t always see the beauty of myself. it is important not to get stuck in this, no matter how difficult it is.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I have bin on tv once haha but it was just as myself. If there is an right opportunity then yeah maybe.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I think that the division of roles between men and women should be more equal. It doesn’t have to be exactly the same, but I think equality is very important
15.- Diane, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is love yourself first. I am trying to be more confident every day. I am greatful that I am healthy, for the people in my live, for a lot of things
16.- Diane, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
Yes I love to travel. I like the sunny weather haha so Spain, France, Italy. What is still on my bucketlist is a trip to America
