1.- Anouck, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?

I grew up in Breda that is a city in the Netherlands. I have always loved living here, because everything is cozy and nice. There is always something you can do and everything is in a distant which you can do with a bike. Everyone knows each other and it is an extremely nice city where you can sit on outside on a terrace.

2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?

I have always done gymnastics. That is where my passion lies. Unfortunately, I needed to quiet due to injuries on both of my knees. Next to that I love to do fitness, watch formula 1 and go out with friends.

3.- International Model, Miss Eco Teen International 3rd RU – Miss Eco Teen International Netherlands 2023 . When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?

It all started at the end of 2022. I had overcome my mental depression and my parents gave me the courage to try something new. I was scouted for Miss Beauty of Noord-Brabant. I was very scared, because I was nothing like a real beauty queen. Never walked on heels, never wore much make-up and my hair was always straight. But I saw an opportunity, an opportunity to grow mentally and to express my feelings. I had a goal to break the taboo of talking about mental health issues and depression. I wanted to show the world it is not always good, but a lot can be pretended on social media.

My parents always told me you can participate as long as you stay true to yourself. That is what I did.

Right now, looking back at what I have achieved, I feel enormously proud. Looking back, I would never be able to think of the strength I have now. I still love my passions and it thrives me to continue growing and be an example for others.

4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Anouck in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?

That is a difficult question. I never compared myself to others, every story and person is unique. I think the values and norms my parents thought me from a young age is something I still continue to use. Being an open person with a big smile and listens to everyone, not stressing too much and makes every activity a fun one.

5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?

I think the most important thing is to stay yourself, don’t compare yourself to others and do your ultimate best. You cannot do more than your already do and that is enough. Don’t punish yourself if it didn’t work. You can still look in the mirror and say you are enough, because you did everything you could and you did it with values and norms.

6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?

No not really, I was very surprised you asked me for this interview. I never think of being an idol of famous someday. I just do what feels good and hope to inspire others. I am very down to earth and will help other when needed and that is what I like, but sometimes I forget what I already reached in my life at eighteen years old and that girls will look up to that. I do not really feel an influential woman, because I am not that well known (famous) in my eyes. I do find it important that girls and boys can text me or talk to me, because I want to help them, learn them and teach them from my own mistakes.

7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?

A lot, the first time I felt nervous, insecure, maybe even not enough. But they teach you so much selflove and the organization helps and learns you so much that I now love it. I love being in front of the camera, making pictures or videos. I also love being on stage in front of a thousand people and speak to them. It changed me from an insecure girl to a self-loving strong woman.

8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?

The power of social media nowadays is very strong and I think it needs to be used wisely. People look up to people but not everything is real what you see on social media. I think it is the power of social media to show the real you, the real lifestyle and motivate others that they can do what they want.

9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?

My favorite social media platforms are Instagram and TikTok. I try to be as open as possible on both platforms and show my followers my daily life.

10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?

Just do it! What have you got to lose? I did not know I had a beauty pageant and look at me now. Having multiple collaborations, I dare to chase my dreams and I just love life. I have always had the support of my parents, but I think it is important for parents to understand that it is their child’s life. They need to grow and try. Even if it doesn’t work out. They will fall and be disappointed, but it will only make them stronger and new adventures will come.

11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?

You are enough, you don’t realize you are in the moment until it is a memory, enjoy every minute, work hard but don’t stress too much. Enjoy the little things and be yourself.

12.- Anouck, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?

It wasn’t easy. I was very insecure and still a little recovering from my depression. I saw all these beautiful girls and I thought how can I ever compete with them? That is still which I sometimes think while trying to inspire others on Instagram and TikTok. Why would people like to see what I’m doing? I’m just a random girl. But what helped me since de beauty pageant is to try to ignore those thoughts, I like what I do and I will continue to do so, because somehow somewhere someone looks up to you or you give them a smile because they needed it. I love what I do and I get good energy from it. That is what thrives me to continue.

13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?

Yes I have always loved the entertainment industry and since a young age I looked up to actresses and thought to do that is so cool. I have always thought about it, but never really made a move to really do so.

14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?

Continue to do what you love and get that dream role or job you want. You do not depend on anyone. You are you and you need to do what you love no matter what anyone says. They will be role model for younger girls that are in the same situation as they were. They see it is possible to get out of that society. They will be motivated by those women.

15.- Anouck, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?

I feel grateful to grow every day, enjoy every minute. That I am able to do what I do and to strive for my goals. I had a period of time where I wasn’t grateful for living, but I’m so happy that I have found that back and I want to inspire others to do so as well. Be grateful to live another day and make each day count. Before you know it, it is all a memory.

16.- Anouck, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?

I loveeee to travel. I want to see the world and I want to learn new cultures. I have visited, Germany, Belgium, Portugal Dominican Republic, Thailand, Ibiza, Mallorca, Denmark, England and France. I hope to visit a lot more from the world. In our country, please visit Amsterdam and Breda, there are a lot of different cultures next to each other and the cities are breathtaking.
