1.- Anna , tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
Hello! Thank you for inviting me to this interview! I am happy to answer all your questions! First and foremost, I love my city, Mykolaiv, because I was born and raised there! My children were also born there—my son and daughter.
2.- What makes you laugh a lot or does it give you a lot of joy?
Many things bring me joy in life. But most importantly, it is my family and my work, which has become more of a hobby!
3.- Women’s Clothing Designer, When do you decide to take your first steps as Fashion designer?
I took my first creative steps in childhood. I had a doll for which I sewed clothes. Even in school, without a sewing machine, I sewed my own clothes with hand stitches. New ideas come to my mind every day. Sometimes I feel like a lifetime isn’t enough to realize them all.
4.- Anna , what do you think distinguishes you and your creations in each garment? What is the design process of Anina, How do you get inspired, who do you think of? Is the result as you propose?
I am inspired by feminine beauty and elegance. I want to convey the sense of style that lives within me. How do I start creating a dress? Sometimes I might see an interesting image somewhere that I want to perfect in my own way (adding or removing something).
During the sewing process, the dress usually changes several times, and the final result is not always what was initially planned. The changes can be minor, such as adjustments to small details, or major, involving a complete redesign of the pattern or fabric. When I am in the creative process, I immerse myself fully in the work! I sometimes forget to eat or drink. But in those moments, I feel truly alive! I can’t describe it!
5.- International Model – Finalist and Partner of Ms Top Ukraine. What do you think of your experience on the catwalks as a model?
First and foremost, I was interested in the experience of collaborating with the Miss Top Ukraine project. I sewed dresses for all the participants for the Ukrainian-style segment. I did this in the two colors of the Ukrainian flag (blue and yellow). But I aimed to create looks for the participants that would highlight feminine delicacy, lightness, and elegance. I wanted to show that women can be strong businesswomen, but their true nature is one of fragility and grace.
I believe I succeeded in conveying this through my dresses! All the contestants were happy and looked magnificent! I am proud to say that I sewed 20 dresses individually for each participant in three months without a single physical fitting!
6.- You participated in Olga IF’s Modavision a few days ago. What did you think of the experience and being able to meet fashion professionals from all over the world?
Participating in Olga I. F.’s “Modavision” project brought me a lot of positive emotions and valuable experience as a designer!
I loved all the works of the other designers! Being in a creative atmosphere among talented individuals provides a special energy that is indescribable! It must be felt! Thank you, Olga, for this opportunity!
7.- What expectations – pending task do you think you have? What are the next steps as a designer?
My ambitions are great! I strive for worldwide recognition. I know I can achieve this! I feel the strength and talent within me, and I work very hard!
8.- What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I am very pleased that my creativity can inspire aspiring designers! Before the war in Ukraine, I was working on a project to bring together the most talented young designers. I wanted to create a team to develop an entirely new style in the fashion world! To make a historic fashion breakthrough! We all observe that very little new is being created; mostly, forgotten fashion trends are being remembered and reimagined.
9.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social media greatly facilitate popularizing what you do. I am glad that such opportunities exist today!
10.- Anna , being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
My experience as a model was interesting. It helped me overcome my inner fear of performing in front of large crowds.
11.- Anna , Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from Ukraine?
I love to travel. I find it fascinating to learn about the cultures and traditions of different peoples. We are all so different, yet so similar at the same time!
12.- You and me (Jaime William) are going to play ping pong, I will tell you one word and you will answer with another word that comes to your mind.
