1.- Aleesha, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born and raised in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, a stunningly beautiful city with the world’s most amazing harbour. It is hilly, green, beachy with beautiful terracotta roofs and this colour combination on a clear day, in contrast with the sky scrapers, is breathtaking to me. I adore Sydney, it will always be home to me.
In particular, I am from a suburb called Roselands which means a lot to me. It’s home to what was the largest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere for some time. This year, I am so proud to be representing Roselands and New South Wales as Ms. Roselands Galaxy 2026 (National Finalist for Ms. Galaxy Australia).
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I really enjoy being in nature. I love eating fruit on the beach, swimming in ocean rock pools, and going for walks through the woods. I love enjoying good food with the people I love. I have a big family and lots of friends and a gorgeous 10 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Benji. Being at home with everyone is my sanctuary, and I also really enjoy building my home and garden.
I have a playful approach to life and can find humour and joy almost everywhere.
3.- Ms. Galaxy Australia 2026 National Finalist. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
It feels surreal, but I am incredibly proud of myself for taking a chance and putting myself out there.
I love giving myself new challenges and pushing to be a better version of myself every year, month, and even day.
I started dancing ballet, jazz, and tap when I was 4 and a half so performing has always been at my core. I made my pocket money through high school entertaining children’s birthday parties and that’s still something I do today and one of my businesses.
I was also interested in pageants and finally decided to respond to an intuitive feeling to choose the Galaxy system, and I am so happy I did. We are still 2 months out from finals and it’s already one of the most amazing self-development challenges I’ve taken on. I’ve met wonderful people in my many community appearances and have felt really proud to represent the Galaxy system.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Aleesha in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I think it’s that playfulness I talked about earlier. I feel it’s that, and an open heartedness and willingness to learn, that has helped me connect so deeply with so many people in my community on this journey.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
Belief in herself.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I recognise the responsibility that comes with being a community role model that is supercharged by our global and digital world. And that really excited me. I am the eldest of five children and four daughters. I have always seen myself as a role model and a support system for the women around me and that will never change. I take my role as a positive role model very seriously.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
I’ve been so lucky to work with some amazing photographers, brands, and my amazing coach Alicia Van Schoonhoven. These things can still be very nerve wracking but I always end up having so much fun and feeling even more confident in myself every time.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
There are some wonderful things about it. It allows us to connect with people from all over the world, stay connected to people we care about, share important messages and raise awareness about important things. I’ve always tried to use my platform to spread awareness and do good.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I really enjoy using Instagram to connect with my followers. I love sharing what I’m up to and seeing what they’re up to as well.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
The thought of parents not supporting their children’s natural born talents breaks my heart. I wish to tell every young person out there to follow their dreams! We are only here on this planet once and given this beautiful life to enjoy. I implore everyone to seize every opportunity that comes their way and makes them feel good. Do not listen to any negativity. Do not absorb other people’s shame and fear. Surround yourself with positive, supportive people, and say yes to life.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
I have learned the importance of putting your best foot forward, focusing on being your best self, and being a positive influence in your community.
12.- Aleesha, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
I think practice makes perfect! I am far from perfect but every experience I get to practice increases my confidence even further.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I have thought about acting for a very long time, since childhood. I love the entertainment industry. I have dabbled with a little bit of extras work, plus my performance work in children’s entertainment. Who knows… Maybe one day I’ll be on the big screen!
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Women are superstars. I am very concerned with women’s rights and hold the cause dearly close to my heart. Humans are the only species on Earth that experiences menopause and is not operating in a matriarchy. There has to be something wrong there. I wish to live long enough to see a world where women are revered for the powerful forces of nature we are.
15.- Aleesha, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
I am motivated by the future I dream about. I don’t want to have any regrets, and one thing I’ve learned is you regret the things you don’t do rather than the things you do. So, my approach is to say yes to everything and try everything.
This might sound cheesy but everyday I truly wake up with an immense sense of gratitude that I am here, healthy, safe, and all the people I love are safe and healthy. Everything else is simply the cream on top!
16.- Aleesha, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I LOVE to travel. I’ve visited 19 countries so far and would really love to see the entire world. I have seen Dubai, France, Spain twice, Italy, Greece twice, England, Thailand, New Zealand, South Africa, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Germany, Croatia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Singapore, Nepal, Fiji, and the USA. In 2018 I went to South Africa to volunteer in wildlife conservation. It was an amazing experience seeing these animals up close. In 2020 I went to Nepal and volunteered to teach English to local women and children. That was one of the most eye opening and rewarding experiences of my life and I am extremely grateful I got to do that right before COVID-19 as well.
