1.- Heidi, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born in Flevoland (Netherlands) and specifically in Swifterbant. A small farming village with lots of meadows around it. it’s so small that everyone knows each other and that’s what I like about it
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I like reading and being creative. like making bags or clothes, I also love doing pagents, laughing with friends or movie nights with my family and making other people happy.
3.-International Model, Miss Teen of Flevoland 2025 Finalist. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
In 2022 I was scouted for the first time for miss teen of flevoland. then i also participated in the season and achieved a beautiful 6th place. I said from the moment that season was over that I would do it again in 2 years (in 2025) and I did it! I trusted on faith. And new things came to me. And that is what I will continue to do in the future.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Heidi in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
My positivity and smile! Wherever I go I hope to bring a happy atmosphere that puts a smile on people’s faces
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
The big picture, Beauty and the brains. Of course she has to be able to shine on stage, but she also has to have a heart of gold behind the scenes
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I am always aware that other girls/women can see you as an example. So I think it is very important to be a good example and post realistic things on my social media channels. But I also want to teach them that self-empowerment is very important! because if you can’t empower yourself, who will?
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
The first time in front of the camera as a model was incredibly exciting but that quickly went away. The feeling of being on stage for the first time is amazing, the tension and the feeling of power is indescribable.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
I think it can be super powerful when used right. When people show their real «I». Society would then start living together more instead of sometimes against each other through social media.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
Instagram is definitely my favorite platform! I often share stories about where I am or how I feel. You can really see who I am and what I do in daily life. But on tiktok I sometimes ask my followers questions about how their day is or what they are going to do this weekend. I always get positive reactions to this! And also compliments that I should keep going! This is what makes social media so much fun
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
I want to tell the children: shine! Try! Do what you are good at and enjoy. Show people what you have to offer and don’t let them bring you down. I would like to ask the parents to support their children because there is nothing more difficult for children than trying to follow their dreams but not having the support of their parents.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
I have learned that I can shine from within myself! I can transform my insecurities into strength and use this to help others
12.- Heidi, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
Unfortunately, it did not always go as smoothly as hoped. I often received hateful reactions during my first participation in Miss Teen of Flevoland from peers who were close to me. This put me in a difficult period, which made it incredibly hard for me to share anything on social media. I took the time for this and I changed it. There is a lot of negativity in the world and it is up to you to choose how you deal with it, remember that that is their opinion but stay close to yourself.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I’m open to anything! I used to really enjoy playing in musicals so who knows 🙂
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
We should not have to fight to be equal to men. we also work for our goals and we also pay our rent. We are women and we have rights! I hope their will be a future where we don’t have to fight anymore and are respected more by sociaty.
15.- Heidi, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is to get the best out of myself every day because I have the freedom to do so, I am grateful every day that I can go to school and travel by public transport. That I can eat 3 times a day. And play sports.
16.- Heidi, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I love to travel! I have been to almost every country in europe, and i definitely recommend sweden for nature lovers! spain for the nice weather and france for the culture. from my own country I would recommend the landscapes, for example the veluwe or zandvoort! That is something people don’t think of right away when they think about The Netherlands. So thats why I would recomment!
