1. – Cindy, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I grew up on a barge. My mother is from Slovakia and my father from the Netherlands, Rotterdam. I grew up with both cultures and countries and am grateful for this. In the Netherlands I was mainly in the province of Zeeland. This is a nice, quiet province where many people know each other, which provides a safe, stable base. In Slovakia I especially liked the down-to-earth atmosphere and close family ties.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
In my spare time I play basketball, participate in a parent working group for a childcare center, and work to ensure adequate nutrition for children from families who have less to spend. As a mother of two young children, I can’t imagine what it must feel like not being able to provide your children with adequate nutrition. I get satisfaction from working on myself on a personal level and then being able to make a change for someone else.
3.- International Model – Miss Universe Zeeland 2025 Finalist . When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
In 2016 I participated in Miss Beauty of Zeeland for the first time. I started then because someone asked me to apply. Ultimately, I discovered that a beauty pageant fits in very well with how I view life. I multiply when I share and prosper when I see myself positively moving another.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Cindy in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
My talent lies in my ability to always approach matters objectively, to be able to separate emotions from reason under all circumstances and to use my powers of persuasion to encourage others to take action. From my work as a manager at the court, I apply these core qualities in practice on a daily basis.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
A kind heart that always stays true to their own values.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I am very aware of my posisiton role model, on social media and in daily life as a mother. I want to show that life does not have to end after having children. That you can continue to work on yourself and your personal goals. For me it is important to show that you can achieve a lot if you put your mind to it and don’t give up.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
The feeling I had the first time I stood in front of the camera was addictive. This was exactly the case at the beauty pageant.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
The power of social media is much greater than we can imagine. It affects everything and everyone, even people without social media channels. Use social media for the right reasons, but above all live in reality.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
Instagram, for sure! I love sharing my day with videos and photos, but I especially love sharing my personal story. To let my voice speak, even for those who cannot or do not want to do so.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
For parents: Every person is unique. Give space and love to what you wish to grow. Take a critical look at yourself and think about what you would have wanted in your younger years, break the cycle and make a difference.
For young people: You are the only one who deals with your thoughts when you are in bed. Do it for yourself, you deserve it.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
The outside doesn’t say everything about the inside. Be kind, you don’t know other people’s struggles.
12.- Cindy, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
After having two children, my body has changed enormously and the modelling has stood still for s while because I was not feeling it. Finding myself again after all the hormonal changes and new responsibilities was an obstacle that I was able to overcome thanks to my safety net. In addition, my life turned upside down after the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes, which I received at the age of 22. Fortunately, I am stable and can get the most out of life thanks to the healthcare system in the Netherlands.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
No, I prefer to present myself as I am.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Together we make the change. Lead by example, the world will follow. By continuing to speak up I hope we can make a change.
15.- Cindy, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My children are my greatest motivation and greatest blessing. Showing them that hard work is rewarded and everything is possible will hopefully give them the right perspective and mindset for the future. I am grateful for a roof over my head, a good job, and my loving family.
16.- Cindy, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I like to travel, but for now I want a few years to be able to take my children along and show them all the beauty the world has to offer them. I espacially like countries with a lot of cultural influences.

18.- Cindy, your last words or final tips
Perspective is everything. How you look at something says a lot about you as a person, not about the situation itself. Everyone has a different frame of reference and their own perspective based on the lessons that life has given. I think it’s important to always think about where someone else comes from and how my words and actions can affect them. I think it is important to look outside with a positive outlook and to pass this on to my direct environment, especially my children.
