1. – Sharona, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born and raised in Doetinchem. It is a small town with a beautiful environment and a pleasant center. It is a place where almost everyone knows each other and that makes it a fun place to live in.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I love walking in nature. Especially after a busy period, I’d love to walk to relax. I also enjoy being in the kitchen, like to go shopping and watch films and series.
3.-International Model – Miss Unity Netherlands 2025 Finalist When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
The funny thing is that I didn’t sign up myself but I was scouted. I have always been very insecure and I would never have the courage to take the step myself. I took on this challenge and have not regretted it for a moment. I am grateful that I can participate in this beautiful adventure and for all the wonderful things that will come my way. I am also proud that I can inspire others with my story and I hope that everyone will realize that self-love is very important.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Sharona in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I think by just really being my down-to-earth self and enjoying all the things that come my way. I have never participated in anything like this before and I could never have dreamed of going through to the finals. Everything that comes my way now is already a gift, so I enjoy all the little things.
5.- What’s is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an international model?
I think several points are important, but what I think is especially important is believing in yourself. Enjoy everything you do and show it to everyone.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I try not to think about it too much, but above all to enjoy everything that come my way. I do hope that by participating in Miss Unity Netherlands I can share my story and that it will really benefit those who need it.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
The first time in front of a camera was very scary and uncomfortable. That was due to my own insecurity. The more often I went shooting, the easier it became and the more I started to enjoy it. This is the first pageant I am participating in. Everything is new and therefore extra exciting, but it is one of the most fun things I have had the pleasure of doing so far.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
It is of course already known that you can have a wide reach via social media. But it’s crazy when you think about how much influence you can have on others. I think that if you use social media in the right way, you can inspire and motivate a lot of people.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I use Instagram the most. I also use TikTok and go live sometimes, but I post on my Instagram most of the time.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
All I can say is go for it and follow your dreams! I understand better than anyone else that it can be pretty scary, but I am very happy that I took the step. I would like to ask the parents who do not support their children, why? It is important to have dreams, ambitions and goals in life. As a parent, you should support your child with things like this.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
My adventure has only just begun, but what I have already learned is that it is important to just let it happen and enjoy every single thing of it!
12.- Sharona, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
My biggest obstacle was my insecurity. I’m not super slim and have always been insecure about my body. I decided for myself that things had to change. Not for anyone else, just for myself to feel myself better in my own skin. I lost weight and started exercising. The next photoshoots that followed, made me feel less insecure and started to love myself more.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Acting has always seemed interesting to me, but I didn’t feel called to study for it. What I do regularly is working in video clips that also involves some acting.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Equality is very important to me. I think it’s a shame to see that this is something that is not so obvious everywhere. I hope that this will change in the future.
15.- Sharona, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
»Because you bloomed despite the thorns». That quote is literally written for me. It stands for keep going despite setbacks and that is something I hold on to when things are not going well for me. I have a tattoo of a rose with the word «blessed» in the stem for this quote, because I am blessed and grateful for all the beautiful things that have come my way.
