1.- “Bad Apples” sounds intriguing! Can you share a bit about the plot and the character you portray in the film?
Hi! Yes of course, Bad Apples is a fun yet daring psychological thriller, where we experience a youthful killer’s descent into madness! I play the role Nina, Nina is an orphan who enters into a new home, she has an offbeat sense of humor. She sees beauty in all things. Nina can be tough and sarcastic at times, But she always tries to do her best.
2.- What drew you to the role in “Bad Apples,” and how did you prepare to embody your character?
Nina’s character is much different from all the other characters I played before, I’m usually the nice girl. So reading her role was very interesting, and I wanted to bring this character to life! With how much hurt Nina has experienced I liked her story. Preparing for a role like Nina’s, I had to change a lot about myself to fit her character, the way she talks, acts, and the way she dresses is completely different me, So when I play Nina I change into a whole different person. I had to learn her story, and why she is who she is. What it must belike coming from an orphanage to a family home.
3.- Can you describe a particularly challenging or memorable scene from “Bad Apples” and how you approached it as an actress?
There’s one scene where Nina first enters the home, she realizes how her life is going to change dramatically, good or bad? Who knows. This scene wasn’t too challenging to play because I know what it’s like to be the new girl in town.
4.- How do you think “Bad Apples” stands out from other films in the same genre?
Bad Apples is much different from other movies because it’s a horror movie and psychological thriller. About teenagers.
5.- What themes or messages do you hope audiences take away from “Bad Apples”?
From this movie I hope people can understand what being manipulated looks like. What it can feel like, how it can hurt people.
6.- Who are your biggest influences in the acting world, and how have they impacted your approach to your craft?
One of my biggest influencers in the acting industry is Mille Bobby Brown and Megan fox! I always loved their movies. Mille has always been talented and inspired me to put my all into acting like she does. Megan fox always plays the pretty girl, so when I have roles like that I always look into actresses who have played roles that are similar to mine.
7.- Can you tell us about a moment in your career where you faced a significant challenge and how you overcame it?
Something I faced during my career was Covid, Covid really blocked a lot of great things I had going on for myself. Then we all switched to online auditions and not many people could see my talent through the screen, thankfully The Producer of Bad Apples “Steve Morris” saw my potential, and said I was a great fit for this role.
8.- Acting often requires stepping into different personas. How do you mentally and emotionally prepare for such transformations?
I study the character, I create her. Preparing to change yourself for a character can be challenging, but it takes hard work and time and a lot of studying, the way my character talks, the way she says things, the way she dresses, etc. I have to see what outfits she old wear and perform as her and not myself.
9.- What is your process for selecting roles, and what do you look for in a script?
Usually I pick the roles I mostly fit.
10.- How do you balance the demands of your career with your personal life and self-care?
Balancing out my acting and modeling career is a lot of work, I started when I was still in school so I had to make sure to keep up with my school work, my life isn’t all just about what I do, I have to make time for my friends, time for myself, time for work as well and more. But I manage everything pretty well, and always make time to add things to my schedule! Self-care is part of my life as well the gym is a must for me! And my skincare, body care, etc.
11.- What advice would you give to aspiring actors who are trying to break into the industry?
Advice I would give to aspiring actors is, it’s okay to hear no, not everyone is going to say yes to your auditions, but that doesn’t mean you didn’t have the talent, it just means you were made for something even more special. So think of the no as your made for something bigger. There will always be 100 nos but there will be one yes, and that one yes will be your break! something my mom always tells me. Never give up. If acting is your dream, god put it in your heart, so you can make it because you will. With time and effort.
12.- Looking ahead, what are your future aspirations in the film industry, and are there any dream roles or projects you hope to pursue?
My future aspirations is to be on screen, movie screens. I want to be able to tell stories through my acting. Make people feel something. Happy,sad,emotional. I want people to see me as the girl who made it. The one that didn’t give up. One day I want to be on big screens like Netflix. Or in movie theatre’s. I want to live a life of an actress.
