From Valencia, Venezuela, to building her life in the United States, Lilian Henríquez embodies a story of authenticity, perseverance, and dreams that never expire. A Reina Latina Elite 2025, model, and inspiring woman, Lilian is living proof that passion, when combined with discipline and personal faith, always finds its moment.
Raised in a warm city near the sea, surrounded by landscapes that shaped her sensitivity, Lilian has kept the values that formed her fully intact: love of family, genuine joy, and a deep connection to physical and emotional well-being. From a very young age, sports were an essential part of her life, first as a gymnast and today as a fitness enthusiast, becoming a lifestyle that reflects balance, strength, and perseverance.
Her entry into the world of modeling and beauty pageants was not immediate, but deliberate. After putting her role as a mother and her children’s growth first, she decided to take up a postponed dream and make it a reality at 47, proving that the right time is the one when you feel ready. Taking part in Nuestra Reina Latina Elite was, for her, an experience of personal growth, learning, and fulfillment.
Authentic, disciplined, and approachable, Lilian is building her path without imitation, projecting a positive influence especially for women and young people looking for real role models. On Instagram, her favorite network, she shares her story with the conviction that believing in yourself and working with purpose always pays off.
1.- Lilian, thank you so much for accepting our invitation. You’re originally from Venezuela and now live in the USA. What have you always loved about the city where you were born and raised? What are the lifelong hobbies that Lilian still practices and can’t give up? What makes you smile or brings you great joy?
I’m from the city of Valencia, Venezuela. What I like most about my city is the people; they are very warm and friendly. It’s a city with beautiful landscapes, and it’s well located near the beaches, which makes it even more appealing to me because I really enjoy the sea. Among my favorite hobbies are listening to music and dancing, but the one I like the most, without a doubt, is exercising, since I’ve done it since I was very little. I was a gymnast, and now going to the gym has become more than a hobby; it’s a lifestyle for me. I’m a very cheerful person. Being in good company, enjoying my pets, and seeing my children happy are moments that make me smile easily.
2.- Model – Beauty Queen, Nuestra Reina Latina Elite 2025. How did Lilian decide to take her first steps into the world of modeling and pageantry? How does it feel to do what you love, what you’re passionate about? Is it easy?
Well, taking part in Nuestra Reina Latina was the fulfillment of a dream I had left pending when I was young and hadn’t been able to pursue. I always liked modeling and I had done photography, but I didn’t have the chance to enter beauty pageants before because I decided to start a family. Life gave me this opportunity now, at 47, and I didn’t want to let it pass. Through the pageant, I was able to live a unique experience and fulfill my dream.
Doing what I love is very rewarding. I feel fulfilled and full of gratitude because I’ve been given this opportunity to do what I’m passionate about, which is being in the world of beauty and modeling. It hasn’t been easy, because I had to wait for my children to grow up so that I could finally have the time to devote to this field, which is demanding and competitive.
3.- Lilian, you’re aware of your growth as a person, model, and beauty queen. Will this gradually turn you into an influencer, an opinion leader, especially for the younger ones? How do you handle this? How do you like to interact with the followers who join you? What is your favorite social network?
Yes, I’ve become aware of it, and I want to be a role model for women as well as for younger girls, showing that dreams can come true. Age doesn’t matter; we just have to work and believe in ourselves. I want to have a positive influence on everyone who wants to know my story. I personally manage my social media and I’m trying to grow on it. My favorite social network is Instagram.
4.- What do you think is Lilian’s distinctive, unique trademark in everything she does as a person and as a model?
I’m a very authentic person. I don’t try to copy anyone, just to be myself, and that is what I want to reflect in my work: authenticity.
5.- What values, care routines, and habits are important to have or adopt in order to be a model?
As for values, I can tell you that you have to be a very responsible, professional, and disciplined person. You must also take care of your diet, your skin, and your image, because that is what you’re selling. On top of that, you need to exercise, sleep well, keep healthy routines, and take workshops and classes in runway and body language, among other things.
6.- How did you feel the first time you modeled in front of a photo camera and a video camera? What did you feel the first time you entered a beauty pageant?
Well, the first time I stood in front of a photo camera I was very young, and even though I had no experience, I felt a sense of freedom and happiness at the same time. It was very pleasant.
My first time in a beauty pageant came when I was already an adult, and for me it’s the best experience I’ve ever had, both for learning and for personal growth. I felt very happy and fulfilled.
7.- Lilian, would you like to venture at some point in your life into the entertainment industry, such as TV or radio, or perhaps something more focused on acting, film, or theater? Have you always been outgoing?
Right now I’m focused on making a name for myself as a model, but I don’t rule out any other opportunity. I think that since I was little I’ve considered myself a very social and energetic person. I love spending time with everyone, and that has made me outgoing from a young age.
8.- Lilian, what do you think about the power of social media and new technologies?
I think the reach of social media and technology is very significant and important in this era we’re living in, as long as we use it responsibly, consciously, and respectfully.
9.- What would you say to parents who don’t support their children’s talent? And what advice would you give to young people who have talent and ability but don’t dare to take the next step?
I would tell those parents that their actions and their example leave very deep marks, and that supporting their children is a way of giving them security and self-confidence, and it will make them successful, self-assured people. Supporting your child is the most valuable gift you can give. And to our young people, I advise them to dare to fulfill their dreams, and to prepare and work tirelessly until they achieve them.
10.- What lesson does this whole experience teach you each day, as a person and as a human being, in a world full of glamour, design, and beauty?
It teaches me that modeling is more than walking beautifully in a world of glamour and beauty. It takes discipline, perseverance, the right attitude, and teamwork, and it means knowing that success is achieved through a lot of effort and dedication, not just with a pretty face.
11.- What is your opinion of women’s empowerment in recent years, with women reaching top positions all over the world? How can this situation be improved?
I love that in recent years women have taken positions in very important areas of our society, in politics as well as in science, the arts, and sports, among many others. All of this movement has come thanks to women’s empowerment, which has led us to achieve positive change in this era. But we must keep working on it and be a source of inspiration for future generations, so that they continue creating opportunities for equality, freedom, and recognition for women.
12.- Lilian, what motivates you, and why do you feel grateful every day?
I’m motivated by the chance to grow and learn something new every day. My family and my children motivate me, and I feel deeply grateful to God and to life for having good health and people by my side who love and support me.
13.- Do you like to travel? Which countries have you already visited? Which other countries would you like to see, and which places do you recommend visiting in Venezuela, your home country?
Yes, I love to travel because it gives you the chance to discover new cultures and people. I’ve had the opportunity to visit some countries, such as Aruba, Curacao, and Colombia, and it has been wonderful because I’ve been able to learn about their traditions, their culture, and their history. But there are many countries I would still like to see, such as Brazil, Chile, Peru, Spain, France, Thailand, and many others.
From my home country, Venezuela, I recommend visiting our beautiful beaches, such as:
1) Los Roques, an archipelago with many islands and cays, well known for its crystal-clear waters and paradise-like landscapes.
2) Morrocoy National Park, one of the most impressive jewels of the Venezuelan coast, with its islets and cays of crystal-clear sand.
3) La Gran Sabana and Angel Falls, a natural spectacle unique in the world. Here you can explore nature, go hiking, and see the tepuis. It’s truly spectacular.
4) Mérida is an Andean city surrounded by mountains, nature, and a cool climate. It’s surrounded by high-altitude moorlands, lagoons, and peaks, and it also has the largest and longest cable car in the world.
