Miss Heritage Philippines 2026, international model, and Miss Pearl of the Orient PH Pampanga ’25, Lexy is building a journey shaped by cultural pride, personal growth, and a genuine love for connecting with people.
With Cuban roots and a heart deeply connected to the Philippines, she carries more than a crown onto the international stage. She carries the warmth of Filipino hospitality, the strength of family, and the beauty of embracing more than one culture. For Lexy, heritage lives not only in traditions, food, and celebrations, but also in the kindness that makes strangers feel welcome.
Her journey has taken her from Pampanga to Pangasinan, with every experience teaching her to listen, grow, and celebrate the stories that make us different and the values that bring us together. Yet behind the glamour is a playful side: a Pokémon fan with a special love for Psyduck!
In this Perumira Magazine exclusive, Lexy opens up about identity, confidence, family, and the dreams still waiting beyond the crown. Her message is refreshingly real: you don’t have to be perfect to make an impact. Sometimes, simply being authentically you is what leaves the most beautiful mark.
1.- Lexy, when you look at your journey so far, what makes you feel most proud of the woman you are becoming?
What makes me most proud is how much I’ve grown through every experience. I’ve learned to be more confident, more compassionate, and more willing to step outside my comfort zone. I’m still becoming the woman I want to be, but I’m proud that I continue to choose growth and stay true to myself.
2.- You have represented different places in the Philippines. What have those experiences taught you about connecting with people from different backgrounds?
It taught me that although we may come from different places and have different stories, there is always something that connects us. Filipinos have such diverse cultures and traditions, but we share warmth, hospitality, and a strong sense of community. Representing different places has taught me to listen, appreciate, and celebrate those differences.
3.- You also have Cuban roots. What part of your Cuban heritage feels especially special to you?
What feels especially special to me is the warmth and passion that I associate with my Cuban heritage. I love how deeply family, culture, music, and celebration are valued. Having Cuban roots reminds me that my identity can carry more than one culture, and that makes me feel very proud.
4.- Miss Heritage Global is about culture and identity. What part of Filipino heritage would you love for someone from another country to discover through you?
I would love for them to discover the Filipino spirit of hospitality. Filipinos have this beautiful way of making people feel welcome, even when they have just met. I want people to see that our heritage is not only found in our traditions and beautiful places, but also in the kindness and warmth of our people.
5.- You already have pageant experience, but every international competition feels different. What feels most exciting about this one?
What excites me most is the opportunity to meet women from different cultures and learn from their stories. Of course, representing the Philippines on an international stage is an honor, but being able to share my heritage while experiencing someone else’s is something I’m really looking forward to.
6.- When you walk onto an international stage, what gives you that extra confidence?
I remind myself of who I am and who I am representing. I carry my family, my culture, and the people who believe in me onto that stage. Knowing that I’m there not just for myself, but to proudly represent the Philippines, gives me that extra confidence.
7.- What is something fun that people would never guess about you just by seeing you on stage?
Probably how much of a Pokémon girl I am! I can be very glamorous on stage, but outside of it, I can spend hours playing Pokémon, collecting cards, and getting way too excited over Psyduck.
8.- Imagine you have one free day in Vietnam before the final. What would your perfect day look like?
I would start by exploring the city, trying authentic Vietnamese food, and visiting somewhere beautiful and cultural. Then I’d probably spend the afternoon taking pictures and getting to know the other delegates. I’d end the day somewhere peaceful, just enjoying the moment before the big day.
9.- Is there a Filipino tradition, food, celebration or place you would happily recommend to every international delegate?
Definitely a Filipino fiesta. It’s such a beautiful representation of our culture because it brings food, music, family, community, and celebration together. And of course, I would tell them to try Filipino food like adobo, sinigang, and halo-halo!
10.- Who has been your biggest source of support throughout this journey?
My family has been my biggest source of support. They’ve seen me through the exciting moments and the difficult ones, and they always remind me why I started. Their belief in me gives me so much strength.
11.- What is one lesson from your previous pageant experiences that you are taking with you to Miss Heritage Global?
I’ve learned that you don’t have to be perfect to make an impact. Pageantry has taught me to embrace who I am, trust my preparation, and focus on what I can share rather than constantly comparing myself to others.
12.- If you could exchange cultural traditions with another contestant during the competition, what would you love to learn?
I would love to learn about their family traditions and celebrations. I think the most beautiful part of culture is seeing what people do to celebrate the people they love, because every country has its own beautiful way of doing that.
13.- Beyond the crown, what do you hope people remember about Julianna after meeting you?
I hope they remember me as someone who made them feel welcomed and valued. Beyond being a titleholder, I want to be remembered for being genuine, kind, and proud of where I come from.
14.- When this international chapter is over, what is the next dream you would love to chase?
I would love to continue growing in the world of pageantry and use the opportunities it gives me to represent culture and inspire young women. I also want to keep exploring the world, building meaningful connections, and creating a future that I can be proud of.
