1. Tell me about the city where you were born and raised. What do you like about your hometown?

I was born in Cumilla, but my roots run deep in Barisal. I grew up in Dhaka, yet my heart’s first home was Cumilla, where I lived with my grandmother, my mother’s mother. She was my first teacher, my first cheerleader. My journey began there, from school to dreams. Later, I moved to Dhaka and studied at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, where I completed my SSC and HSC.
What I love most about Cumilla is its food, every bite tastes like childhood. And the heritage sites, like Moynamoti Buddhist Bihar, whisper stories of a glorious past. Then there’s Barisal, my parental home, Kuakata – the daughter of the sea. Where else in the world can you watch both the sunrise and sunset over the same ocean? That’s magic. That’s home.

2. What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?

I am a dancer and a choreographer. Dance isn’t just my hobby, it’s my heartbeat. It fills me with laughter, energy, and a joy that words cannot capture. When I dance, I forget every worry. That rhythm, that freedom, that’s where I truly live.

3. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and in beauty pageants? What feeling do you get from achieving your dreams?

I grew up surrounded by media and culture. As a child, I performed on Bangladesh Television, our national channel. Dance was my first language. But when I learned that beauty pageants are not just about outer beauty, that they can amplify a woman’s voice, her struggles, her power, I knew I had to step in. That was in 2023. My first pageant. And now, in 2026, I hold the title of Miss Petite Global Bangladesh – the first ever.
But my path was never smooth. As a short‑height woman, I was judged by my own industry and by society. Then in 2023, I suffered a rare stroke called CVST. It changed my body. It caused hair loss. It could have broken me. Instead, it became my turning point. I decided to embrace my “True Self” not despite my scars, but with them. And now, young girls look at me and say, “If she can, I can too.” That feeling? It’s bigger than any crown. It’s carrying the hope of a nation.

4. What is the distinctive, unique stamp of Kabita?

My authenticity. My true self. I don’t wear masks. What you see is what you get, a girl who fell, rose, and chose to shine.

5. What is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an international model?

Confidence. Kindness. And emotional balance. Because the world will test you. It will push you down. But a true woman, rises again and again, not as a statue of perfection, but as a living inspiration for those who are still struggling.

6. Are you aware that you are an influential woman for thousands of girls? How important is it to be an idol?

Yes, I feel that responsibility deeply, it humbles me and empowers me at the same time. Every day, I receive messages from girls who say, “You made me believe I can dream.” That is not a burden; it is a gift. Being an idol means I must stay true, stay kind, and never forget where I started. If my journey can light even one small lamp in someone’s dark room, then every tear, every fall, every victory was worth it.

7. What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?

Oh, the first time on camera, I was just a child in nursery class! Haha. I remember being so tiny and so excited. However, My first pageant, was much later, and it was deeply nostalgic. I didn’t know many things. I was still recovering from my stroke. But I stepped onto that national stage and secured a Top 10 position. That moment taught me that courage is not the absence of fear, it is walking forward even when your legs tremble.

8. What do you think about the power of social media today?

Social media is a double‑edged sword, but I choose to see its light. It can spread inspiration across oceans in seconds. A girl in a remote village can see my story and feel less alone. However, I also believe that too much scrolling steals our productivity. Balance is the secret. Use it to grow, not to escape.

9. How do you like to interact with your followers? What’s your favorite social media?

Instagram is my favorite. Its algorithm helps my story reach the right eyes. I love replying to comments, sharing real moments, and building a community, not just followers. I want every person who follows me to feel seen, heard, and loved.

10. What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?

To the young dreamer: I know fear. I know the voice that says “you’re not enough.” But listen to me, regret hurts far more than failure. Take one small step. Fall. Rise. Try again. Your talent is a seed; water it with courage.
To parents: Please, do not clip your child’s wings. After I became Miss Petite Global Bangladesh, just 15 days before I left for the international stage, my father suffered a stroke. His left side was paralyzed. I was an only child, emotionally drowning. So many people told me to stay home. But my father, my hero, looked at me and said, “Go. Represent our country.” The gown I wore for the preliminary round? My parents made it. When I started my first pageant, my father made my gown. And later my next pageant, my parents were honored as “Best Parents.” That is what support looks like. Beauty pageants are not just about crowns, they are platforms that empower women. And to every girl who feels “not enough”, you are enough. You always have been.

11. What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?

I have learned that true beauty lives in the heart, not in a mirror. I have learned that sisterhood is stronger than competition. And I have learned that our deepest wounds can become our greatest gifts. The fashion world taught me to stand tall, even when I am short, and to let my soul be my runway.

12. Has being a model been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome them?

No, it has never been easy. I faced judgment for my height, my body after stroke, my hair loss. I faced financial struggles and moments when I wanted to hide. But I overcame them by anchoring myself to my purpose. I remembered my grandmother’s faith in me. And I kept repeating: “This is for every girl who feels invisible.” That fire kept me alive.

13. You are a TV host. Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?

Yes, I love the entertainment industry, it has been my part since childhood. I haven’t seriously pursued acting yet, but I am open to it if a meaningful role comes my way.

14. Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion on the role of women in the future in these societies?

I believe the future of women in those societies will be written by education, unity, and unbreakable courage. Change will not come overnight, but every small voice raised, every girl sent to school, every law that protects her, these are the bricks of a new world. Men must walk beside us, not above us. And I dream of a day when no woman fears to walk alone under the sun or the moon.

15. Kabita, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?

My motivation is my family, my parents who never gave up on me, my partner who held my hand through the darkest hours, and every little girl in Bangladesh who writes to me saying “Apu, I want to be like you.” Every morning, I am grateful for another breath, and another opportunity to make my country proud.

16. Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know, and which places would you recommend to visit from your country?

I love traveling, and until MPG, I had never been abroad. My first international trip was to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and it was unforgettable. But my heart belongs to the wonders of my own Bangladesh. I recommend Cox’s Bazar, the longest sea beach in the world; Kuakata, where you can see both sunrise and sunset; Rangamati, Sajek, Bandarban, the Sylhet hill tracts, and the peaceful tea gardens of Sreemangal.
