1.- Isha, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?

I was born in Penang but moved to Kuala Lumpur when I was still very young. Even until today, I still frequently go back to Penang because most of my family is there, so it will always feel like home to me. What I love most about Penang is how peaceful and calming it is – the slower pace, the food, the people and the comforting feeling of being surrounded by family. At the same time, Kuala Lumpur is the city that truly raised me and shaped me into who I am today. Growing up in KL exposed me to so many opportunities, different cultures, and experiences that helped me become more ambitious, independent, and open-minded. I feel very connected to both cities because each of them represents a different part of me.

2.- What are your hobbies?  what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy

My hobbies include makeup, fashion, content creation, shopping and spending time with the people I care about most. I also love trying new activities and stepping out of my comfort zone because I enjoy learning and experiencing new things. Something that brings me a lot of joy is making people feel loved, appreciated, and cared for. I think I naturally have a very nurturing personality. I laugh the most during random, spontaneous moments with friends and family. Those little unplanned moments always end up becoming the best memories. To me, happiness is really found in the simple things.

3.- International Model, Beauty Queen of the Ratu Wanita Malaya Organization. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?

I started taking my first steps into modelling and beauty pageants because ever since I was young, I always loved watching beauty pageants and modelling shows. I was so fascinated by the elegance, confidence, and presence the women carried on stage and on camera. I also loved dressing up from a young age, experimenting with fashion, makeup, and expressing myself creatively. Deep down, I always admired women who carried themselves with both beauty and strength, and I dreamed of becoming someone who could inspire others in the same way.

At first, modelling was something very personal to me, it became a journey of self-discovery and building my confidence. Over time, I realized the industry is about so much more than appearance. It taught me discipline, resilience, communication, and how to carry myself professionally even under pressure.

Being part of the Ratu Wanita Malaya Organization has been such a meaningful chapter in my life because it pushed me to believe in my own potential. There were moments where I doubted myself or questioned whether I was good enough, but every challenge helped me grow stronger mentally and emotionally. Achieving my dreams and being recognized today as a model and influencer feels surreal because younger me would have never imagined it. Sometimes it becomes emotional for me because I know how much hard work, sacrifice, and self-growth happened behind the scenes to get where I am today. More than anything, I’m grateful that my journey allows me to inspire other girls to believe that their dreams are possible too.

4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Isha in each activity carried out as a  beauty queen and model

I think the most unique thing about me as a beauty queen and model is that I try to remain authentic no matter what environment I’m in. I never want to create a perfect image that feels distant or unrealistic. I want people to see me as someone genuine, warm and relatable. I’m naturally very caring and emotional and I think that reflects in the way I interact with people both online and in real life.

I also believe my femininity and softness are a huge part of my identity. I love glamour, beauty, and fashion, but at the same time I value kindness, empathy, humility and emotional intelligence very deeply. I want my presence to make people feel comfortable, inspired and uplifted. Beyond modelling and pageantry, I want to be remembered as someone with a good heart, strong values, and positive energy.

5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an international model?

I believe the main virtue any woman must have to become an international model is confidence –  not just confidence in her appearance, but confidence in who she truly is as a person. The modelling industry can be very demanding, and there will always be pressure, criticism and comparison. That is why resilience, discipline, professionalism and self-respect are so important. A true model carries herself with grace, intelligence, and kindness both on and off camera. Beauty may open doors, but character is what leaves a lasting impression.

6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?

Yes, I am aware that many girls and teenagers look up to me, and I honestly see it as both an honor and a responsibility. I think influence should always be used in a positive and meaningful way. More than just inspiring girls to become models, I want to encourage them to become kind, confident, compassionate women. I always remind young girls to believe in themselves, work hard for their dreams and never allow fear or insecurity to stop them from reaching their full potential.

At the same time, I think empathy, love and kindness are qualities that are becoming increasingly important in today’s world. I always encourage girls to treat people with compassion, uplift one another instead of competing negatively and give back whenever they can. To me, true beauty is reflected in the way a person treats others.

7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant

The first time I modeled in front of a video camera, I was honestly extremely nervous. I remember overthinking every movement, every pose, and even the way I smiled. But at the same time, there was also this excitement inside me because I knew I was doing something I genuinely loved. Once I slowly became more comfortable, I started enjoying the process and expressing myself more naturally in front of the camera.

The first time I joined a beauty pageant, my emotions were all over the place — I felt nervous, excited, pressured and proud all at once. Standing on stage in front of so many people made me realize how much courage pageantry truly requires. It’s not just about looking beautiful; it’s about confidence, composure, communication and mental strength. I still remember the adrenaline I felt walking on stage for the first time. It was terrifying but also empowering, because in that moment I realized I was capable of so much more than I thought.

8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?

I think social media today is both a good and bad thing. In many ways it is a paradox. It has the power to connect people, inspire others, create opportunities and allow people to express themselves creatively. Social media has helped many individuals build careers, share their stories and connect with communities from all around the world. At the same time I think it can also create unrealistic expectations and negativity if not used carefully. That is why I believe it is important to use social media mindfully and positively while still staying grounded in real life.

9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?

My favorite social media platform is Instagram because I love how visual and interactive it is. I enjoy interacting with my followers through stories posts and especially replying to my DMs whenever I can. I like building genuine connections with people who support me because I truly appreciate every person who follows my journey. I think being approachable and engaging with supporters is very important because they are a huge part of why I am where I am today.

10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?

I would advise young people with talent to never let fear stop them from taking the next step. Growth always begins outside your comfort zone and sometimes the biggest opportunities come from simply believing in yourself enough to try. Everyone starts somewhere and nobody becomes successful overnight. Trust your abilities, stay consistent and do not be afraid of failure because every experience teaches you something valuable.

For parents I would encourage them to support and guide their children’s passions instead of limiting them out of fear. Sometimes all a young person needs is encouragement and belief from the people closest to them. Supporting your child’s dreams can help build their confidence, self worth and motivation to succeed.

11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?

One of the most important lessons I have learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants is that authenticity shines so much more than trying to create a facade of who you think people want you to be. People connect most with genuine personalities, real emotions and sincerity. I have also learned the importance of discipline, confidence, resilience and carrying yourself with grace even during difficult moments. The industry taught me that beauty is not only about appearance but also about character energy and the way you treat others.

12.- Isha, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?

Being a model has definitely not always been easy for me. One of my biggest struggles was having a very negative self image. There were times where I genuinely felt like I was not good enough or not pretty enough especially in an industry where comparison happens so often. I used to focus so much on trying to fit certain standards until I eventually realized that it is impossible to appeal to everyone and that is completely okay. What truly matters is believing in your own worth and recognizing your own beauty and potential.

I also faced criticism and hate which at times was very difficult emotionally. But over time I learned that confidence does not come from everyone approving of you. It comes from accepting yourself fully and continuing to move forward despite negativity. I overcame those obstacles by working on my mindset surrounding myself with supportive people and reminding myself why I started this journey in the first place. Every challenge helped me grow stronger, more confident and more secure in who I am today.

13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?

I do enjoy the entertainment industry and I find it very interesting because it allows people to express creativity in so many different ways. However I have never specifically dreamed of becoming an actress. Modelling and pageantry have always been closer to my heart. That being said if the opportunity ever arose I would definitely love to try acting and explore a new side of myself creatively. I think it would be a very exciting and valuable experience.

14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?

I believe women are destined for incredible change growth and success in the future. Even though there are still societies where women face discrimination abuse and inequality I think the world is slowly progressing and becoming more aware of the importance of respecting empowering and supporting women. In today’s modern age women are proving every single day that we are just as capable intelligent and strong in every field and industry.

I hope future generations of women will continue to have more freedom opportunities and equality. I also think it is important for women to continue uplifting and supporting one another because real change happens when women are empowered together.

15.- Isha, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?

My biggest motivation is always striving to become better than I was yesterday. I constantly want to grow, improve myself and become the best version of who I can be both personally and professionally. I think self growth is a lifelong journey and that mindset keeps me motivated every day.

I feel most grateful for my mother, my sister and all of my close friends because they truly are some of the biggest blessings in my life. They have supported me during my highest moments and also during my most difficult ones. Their love, encouragement and presence mean everything to me and honestly I would not know what to do without them.

16.- Isha, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?

Yes I absolutely love traveling because I think it allows you to experience different cultures, lifestyles and perspectives. I enjoy discovering new places, trying different foods and learning more about the history and traditions of each country. One country I would especially love to visit is Egypt because I have always been fascinated by the pyramids and ancient Egyptian history. I honestly have a bit of an obsession with it and I often watch documentaries and movies about ancient Egypt because I find the history so interesting and mysterious.

From my own country I would definitely recommend people to visit my hometown Penang. The food there is honestly some of the best you will ever try and the atmosphere feels very warm, comforting and peaceful. The locals are incredibly welcoming and kind which makes the experience even more special. Penang has a very unique charm because it beautifully blends culture, history food and everyday local life all in one place.

18.- Isha, your last words or final tips

If there is one thing I would want people to take away from me it would be to always believe in yourself no matter how difficult life may seem at times. Be authentic and never feel pressured to become someone else just to fit into certain standards or expectations. Always treat people with kindness even if you are not always met with the same energy because kindness says more about your character than theirs.

I also think it is important to remember that everyone is fighting their own personal battles behind closed doors so we should always be mindful of the things we say and do especially online. At the end of the day we are all human beings with emotions feelings and struggles that people may not see.

My final advice especially to young girls is to never stop chasing your dreams for someone else. Do not shrink yourself or hold yourself back because of fear criticism or other people’s opinions. Go for what you truly want in life because you are living for yourself and your future. Believe in your potential work hard and never be afraid to take up space and become the person you dream of being.
