1. – Christa, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born in Groningen and until I was 3 I lived in a small village called Peize. Then we moved to Roden and live there with lots of love. It is a beautiful village where you have everything. Many family and friends also live here and it feels nice to live near each other.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
My hobbies are social media and doing fun things with friends and family such as going to a fun ladies night or fun games evening and now that I have a son. I really enjoy doing fun things with him, such as going for walks and playing and learning new things.
3.-International Plus Size Model, Miss Plus Size International 2024 1st RU – Queen of Curves 2020 – 2021 1st RU . When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
Even though I was familiar with the Miss Pageant. We had one in our village, but it didn’t really suit me at the time until friends joined Miss Curve Netherlands and I was also scouted, I thought why not. I got a lot of love for it, especially you learn more and more about yourself, what you can do and that you can be there in your own way. I do not consider myself an influencer, but I think it is important that you can show who you are and hope to inspire girls with it.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Christa in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I believe my unique quality lies in my ability to combine confidence and strength with kindness. Whether I’m on the catwalk or working on charities, my charisma and determination always shine through. I want to inspire others to believe in themselves and embrace their own beauty.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
I believe that every woman should be allowed to show herself. Despite every woman being insecure about certain things, you are allowed to show that, because that is why you are unique. And it is precisely this that draws the strength to inspire more girls to focus on themselves.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I don’t see myself as an idol. I prefer to see myself as someone who wants to help people find themselves and inspire them to work on themselves wherever they want to be.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
When I stood in front of a camera for the first time I really felt like a princess. I thought I was beautiful because I was myself and had total shame.
And when I took part in a beauty pageant for the first time, I thought yes, this is so very beautiful. I am starting to love myself more and more and noticed that this made me want to work more on myself.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
I really like social media. I get a lot of inspiration from it to find out even more who I really am and what makes me even stronger.
Also because you can really share your story.
Despite many negative things happening, I prefer to focus on the positive part and continue to look for what really suits me and what I can use or learn more about myself.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I love TikTok and Instagram. You can share so much in your own way and also get a lot of inspiration from it. Only because I am quite messy myself and you can see that on my channels, I don’t really have anything specific that I like to share there, because I share a lot about different things such as miss elections, my son and my mental health. But many of my followers also like that about me.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
I would advise them to do it right. Despite your uncertainty about why you shouldn’t do it, you actually go beyond your limits. Because your limit is higher than you think and by taking that step you will really learn more about yourself.
And for the parents I would say. Despite your difficulty, I think it is good for your children to find their own selves. You have to see it as a learning process and if it makes your child happy, you will be happier yourself.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
I have learned that you can be there. Even though you are insecure or cannot learn well that beauty is more inside than outside. You are unique and it is good that you can learn something new every day.
12.- Christa, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
Didn’t find catwalk difficult at all. Because I did majorette and colorguard, I was able to use quite a lot of that and improve with tips from the catwalk coach. What I found difficult is presenting because I find it difficult to express myself, I can say things that seem strange to someone else, while when someone asks a question and I and another person have to answer, I say it differently but mean the same thing.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I think becoming an actress would be a lot of fun. But would do it as a hobby. I think that by becoming an actress you can also understand your emotions more and I think that would be fun to learn.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Woman are beautiful people who can really do a lot in this world. And think that we women can learn more and more every day.
Despite the fact that certain people sometimes look at us differently, I think the more we work together we can do more for the world.
15.- Christa, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is my positivity. Although it is very difficult mentally, I know that there are also positive things about it. I would rather continue to struggle and fight for the rest of my life to be even more myself than give up. And I am grateful that I have that gift, despite setbacks, I still remain cheerful with a positive mind.
16.- Christa, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I’m not much into traveling. Belgium and France have been a lot during the time with the show band. But if I had to choose a country I would one day want to go to, it would be Italy. I find them so cheerfully relaxed and their food is fantastic
