1.- Chiara, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. What do you like about your hometown?
I was born in Milan, Italy – a city known for its iconic fashion scene, world class art and modernity. Milan was the perfect backdrop for my early life. The hustle and bustle of Milan streets shaped my love for fashion, art, and the fast pace of the city life, give me a perspective that was both worldly and progressive.
Later I moved to Sri lanka and grew up in Negombo, a vibrant coastal city known for its golden beaches and welcoming atmosphere. I feel fortunate to have grown up in a place that offers both natural beauty and a deep sense of community. Negombo is where I learned the importance of family, tradition and bonds.
Being raised in two different countries exposed me to a multicultural environment, diverse language and an early appreciation for global culture.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I absolutely love spending my spare time educating young children and being with my loved ones. These moments fill me with joy, laughter and a sense of fulfillment. Whether it’s watching a child learn something new or sharing a fun moment with my family and friends, these activities always bring a smile to my face and gives me a lot of joy.
3.-International Model, Mrs. Queen of the World Sri Lanka 2024 . When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
My journey into beauty pageants began when I realized that beauty isn’t just about external appearances—it’s about strength, resilience, and confidence in who we are. I always believed that a woman’s true power lies in her ability to embrace her uniqueness and inspire others. My first pageant, Queen of the World, is where it all began, and I am beyond grateful that I won. And here I am, living my dream and standing as an example of what passion, dedication, and belief in oneself can achieve.
Winning Mrs. Queen of the World Sri Lanka 2024 has been an emotional and transformative experience.Achieving this dream feels surreal, yet fulfilling. Every stage, every challenge, and every moment leading up to this has taught me so much about myself. It’s not just about the crown, it’s about using this incredible opportunity and platform to elevate others.
I am deeply thankful to our CEO Alice Lee Giannetta, National director Nadeeka Senevirathna and choreographer Rozanne Diasz whose guidance, support, and expertise helped shape me into the woman I am today. Without their encouragement and unwavering belief in me, this journey would have not been possible.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Chiara in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I believe the distinctive, unique stamp that I carry is my authenticity and dedication.Whatever the situation is I always strive to stay true to myself and make a meaningful impact.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
A main virtue a woman should have to be an international model is self – confidence. It empowers women to believe in their abilities and to carry oneself with poise. Confidence also fosters resilience, allowing women to cope with setbacks and criticism while staying true to their values and ambition.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I am deeply aware of the impact I have as an influential woman, especially for the girls and young women who are looking forward in pursuing their dreams of becoming models. By being visible and sharing my story to inspire them, I aim to show them that dreams are possible, no matter the obstacles. It’s not just about beauty or fame, it’s about perseverance, believing in yourself, and staying true to your passions. It is very important that we show younger generations that their dreams are worth chasing, no matter how big they seem.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness, the first time I modeled in front of a camera standing in front of the lens, knowing that all eyes were on me made me a bit nervous. But at the same time I felt a sense of empowerment as I embraced the moment and it was a new experience, one that pushed me out of my comfort zone, but also made me feel alive and confident in myself.
I would say it was the same during the pageant as well. I remember feeling both nervous and exhilarated as I walked across the stage, surrounded by so many talented and beautiful women. But there was also a sense of pride in representing myself and all the hard work that had led me to that moment.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social media plays a vital role in today’s society. But it can be both empowering and problematic. We should be brave and smart enough to get and be influenced by the good side of it. Using social media while embracing ourselves is important. Get entertained, enjoy and learn but we should not be deceived by the unrealistic expectations and comparisons.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
My favorite social media platform is Instagram. I love how it allows me to connect with my followers in a personal and creative way. I enjoy sharing moments from my daily life, insights into my passions and glimpses of my journey. It has become a space where I can build a community and have meaningful interactions while staying authentic.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
My advice to young people who have a talent but do not dare to take the next step is to remember that your unique abilities are gifts. Don’t let fear or doubt hold you back—take the time to explore your passions, develop your skills, and believe in your potential. You never know where your talents could take you if you nurture them.
And for the parents, they should understand that every child is different and has their own potential. Encouraging them to explore and pursue their passions, even if they seem unconventional, can help build their confidence and shape their future. Supporting them in their journey, no matter the path, can make all the difference in their growth and happiness.»
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
I’ve learned that beauty pageants are not solely about beauty but it is about embracing yourself and being the best version of yourself, for everyone is unique in their own ways. Especially self-confidence, resilience, authenticity and hard work plays a vital role in this.
12.- Chiara, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
To be honest it was not an easy path. Specially modeling being a highly competitive field, it required regular practice and learning from my mistakes.The important thing is embracing ourselves for who we are and overcoming the challenges through inner strength, patience, resilience and perseverance. And the key to staying consistent is focusing on improvement, not perfection. Also the support from experienced mentors and fellow models really helped.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
At the moment, I haven’t really considered becoming an actress, as I am fully focused on the international pageant happening in May. However, I do have a strong appreciation for the entertainment industry.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
While it’s true that women around the world have made significant strides in gaining more rights and visibility, there are still societies where they face significant challenges, including abuse and inequality. I believe that the role of women in these societies keeps evolving, thanks to ongoing efforts of education, empowerment, and advocacy. Change of course takes time but hopefully the future will be one where women are not only survivors but leaders and changemakers, and I believe that continued support from both men and women is key to making that a reality.»
15.- Chiara, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
Every day I’m motivated by the new opportunities to grow, learn and challenge myself. And I am grateful for the amazing people who support me, the experiences that shape me and the chance to pursue my passions. I feel grateful for each new day and the new lessons it brings.
16.- Chiara, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I absolutely love traveling, and I’ve been to Italy, Thailand, Singapore, Dubai and France. I am really looking forward to travel to more countries in the future. I love discovering new cultures, meeting people and experiencing new things. But my motherland – Sri Lanka holds a very special place in my heart. Sri Lanka has some incredible places to explore. I highly recommend visiting places like Sigiriya, with its ancient rock fortress and stunning views, Ella, known for its breathtaking landscapes and hiking trails, and Galle, with its charming colonial architecture and coastal beauty. Each of these spots offers something unique – whether it’s history, nature, or culture – and they truly capture the essence of Sri Lanka.

My best advice is to embrace who you truly are and stay authentic to yourself. When you are genuine, it radiates beauty in its truest form. Beauty is not just something we see, it’s a reflection of confidence, kindness, and being comfortable in your own way. Also give your best to what you do.
