Victoria Amerson Design

A childhood dream, a collection inspired by the 1950s, and a designer who decided the runway did not have to remain silent. Victoria Amerson transformed her first London Fashion Week 2025 experience into a creative statement: models awakening like mannequins, smiling, dancing, and presenting the dresses as if they were part of a Broadway musical. The audience responded with applause, and Victoria realized she had found her own fashion language.

A Celebrity Designer, published fashion model in Vienna, actress, violist, and international fashion personality, Victoria has been building her brand since 2024 around recognizable fit-and-flare silhouettes, cinched waists, low V-backs, and her signature three-bow detailing. Her aesthetic brings Old Hollywood glamour back to life, but with a modern, playful, and unmistakably Victoria personality.

Her journey is also one of courage: from the intimidation of her first runway to presenting creative showcases in places such as Cannes 2026, she continues challenging traditional fashion rules. Behind every dress is a mission—to make women feel confident, feminine, joyful, and free to reconnect with their own sense of fantasy.

As she dreams of opening stores in major cities and building a brand that dresses celebrities, Victoria proves something powerful: creativity begins when we stop trying to fit in.

Meet Victoria Amerson in Perumira Magazine and discover the woman turning her childhood dreams into an international fashion reality.

1.- Victoria, fashion has a funny way of turning unexpected moments into new beginnings. Looking back at the past year, what experience made you think, “This is the direction I want to take,” and encouraged you to explore fashion in your own way?

It all started when I read invited to the London FW 2025 and I saw all of the collections were rehearsing choreography of normal runways. It was my first runway ever and I felt intimidated by the designers and their high fashion styles and big beaded dresses.

The evening before I had a vivid dream where I saw my dresses as a Broadway musical where the models stood as mannequins on the stage. The following day was show day and I walked into the runway room for choreography and as the choreography teacher was trying to explain what he wanted, I said “Stop!” I would like to change the choreography totally and that’s when I decided to bring my dream to life and I asked the models to smile and to dance as they presented the dresses.

I wanted them to wake up one by one from their frozen state to present the dress as a surprise to the audience.

The success was so huge the audience was clapping along to the music that was playing and smiling. This was the complete opposite of normal audience reactions on the runway. Normal shows are very closed and no emotions are seen in the audience, but in mine I realized I did something different and even changed history.

2.- London Fashion Week is one of those places where you can see almost everything: bold ideas, unforgettable looks and people who seem to have stepped straight out of a fashion film. What was the most exciting or unexpected thing you experienced there?

Well the most unexpected thing that happened to me was being kicked out of my own show and then going into the show anyways disguised as my own assistant! The day before the show it was very stressful and I said some words without thinking. It was understandable after the stress I went through in the week making my first three runways back to back. Instead of letting my assistant handle the show alone, I decided to go undercover as my own assistant as Alejandra. I managed to play my own assistant and even walk out for the final designer bow on the runway in disguise.

After the show was completed, I laughed with my friend so much until tears came out and I realized I was a very good actress to pull this off. That was definitely one of the most crazy memories of London I have and I will never forget that.

From that experience I learned how to manage my pre-show emotions and stress better so this never would have to occur again.

3.- When you are getting ready for a runway, what usually happens first: does the outfit inspire your attitude, or does your mood inspire the way you wear the outfit?

I am most inspired by the outfit I am wearing. Typically I choose to wear black and white or black to stand out from the other models so the audience can see I am the designer herself. However when it comes to the way I style the dress it is always depending on my mood.

Sometimes I wear a very big hat or a scarf with the dress and other times it’s pearls and contrasting color blocked gloves. I’ve always tried to create a pop of color in my black dress look as it is simply more attractive then total black dresses.

With this mindset, I give also an example of how to wear the dress to my audience of potential customers as well.

4.- You work both in front of the camera and behind the creative process. If you could design an outfit specifically for the Victoria you see five years from now, what would she be wearing?

I really like this question. I’m seeing myself in five years with at least three shops in major cities opened up and I would be wearing a big black and red hat with a beautiful overcoat and elegant dress. The color would be black and red. I would step out of the car of my personal driver with the many suitcases of designs coming back from Milan Fashion Week. I must say I believe this will come true as I never would have believed to make it so far in just two years since my company founding in 2024. I am sure in 5 years the brand will be dressing celebrities.

5.- Every designer eventually develops certain details that people begin to recognize as “their thing.” What little details, silhouettes, textures or styling choices do you find yourself returning to again and again?

If you were to take all the designer dresses and put them on a clothing rack and ask people of the fashion industry to identify them, everyone would be able to know a Victoria Amerson from any other designer.

This is what I strive to do as a designer. People often ask why don’t I make long ball gowns and pageant beaded dresses and the answer is I don’t want to be like the others! I wish to stand out and be seen as a brand and not just a designer.

An icon and not just a seamstress.

My dresses should be recognised by the fit and flare shape with full skirts and nipped waists, low V backs and of course the classic three bows detailing on the front bodice. My dresses will look like Old Hollywood came to life again with a modern twist.

6.- Vintage fashion has a wonderful ability to make the past feel completely new. What is it about vintage pieces that captures your imagination, and how do you give those influences your own modern personality?

In short, history and the story behind each dress. I believe the vintage dresses have a beautiful aspect to them and that is that they were once loved from a person in another time. One where the conditions were completely different than modern times. They were the best look a person had and it is where the term “Sunday best” comes from. The dresses in my vintage archive could have been the prom dress of a girl from 1950s, a bridesmaid, a favorite date dress, or even a handmade dress loved by someone who made it with her own hands years ago.

The way these dresses were composed if unlike anything you find in the stores today and that is precisely why I strive to make Victoria Amerson dresses using the same sewing techniques of the 1950s.

I’m always striving to bring back the beauty and elegance in my own ways from the mid century time without losing my own creative and quirky self along the way.

7.- Imagine you have complete creative freedom and no traditional runway rules. Where would you stage your dream fashion show, what would the audience experience, and what would make them talk about it afterward?

I never follow the rules anyway! The last few shows I even implemented a live singer and smiling/ dancing. My next step? Real dancers on the runway and live musicians alongside them. I wish to revolutionize the fashion industry as a whole and for that I must think outside the box.

One time I even included props on my runway including old telephones and flowers. In Cannes 2026 at my Cannes Sustainable showcase I even had one model pretending to be an audience member and another one called her with a phone on the runway and she joined for her walk.

It was truly iconic and I would never forget how proud I was when the models pulled off my choreography.

8.- Fashion can be serious business, but it can also be incredibly playful. What is the most fun part of being a model and designer that people outside the industry probably never get to see?

The best part is when I am able to present myself and watch the models personally present themselves to me. I always try to give the model the platform to show the joy she feels when she wears one of my dresses.

This for me is most important as if the model is happy in the dress, the customer will be too. My dresses are made to bring out the best version of the woman who wears it. To make her feel confident, positive and simply light to everyone around her.

9.- Social media has changed the way emerging designers and models build an audience. Do you think having a strong personal identity online is now almost as important as having a strong portfolio?

I believe if you want to make it in the industry you need to make sure people remember you in every show. Social media these days is very fake and you don’t even know what is true in even the followers of most people, but on the stage you cannot lie about how much you believe in your brand.

My brand is my child that I have grown up from nothing and of course on the stage I watch her shine and I’m the proudest parent.

I have done numerous shows around the world and every show is different and I must say I’ve never been overlooked by the audience. They remember me and they remember the iconic brand Victoria Amerson.

10.- There are countless beautiful clothes and talented models in the fashion world. What makes someone stop scrolling, stop watching and think, “I need to know who created this”?

Like I have said before the dress must stand out from all the other designers and it must bring the emotion of the customer out. My dresses are made to inspire woman that it is okay to be a young girl again and to okay dress up like you did years ago.

The brand dresses are inspired by my dresses on Barbie dolls I had as a child and my sketches of the dresses since I was 6 years old. I’ve always wanted to be a real life princess and guess what I got to become a queen instead and that is even better.

Little Victoria would be proud if she knew what she would become one day.

11.- If you could bring together three people for one completely unexpected fashion collaboration whether they were designers, artists, photographers, musicians or performers, who would you choose and what would you create together?

I’m planning to do this anyway! For Paris Fashion Week I will bring together my favorite violinist, Ballet choreographer, and live dancers to create something completely unimaginable.

I also would like to tie together an exhibition one day with a chocolate artist, a photographer, and a live musician. Both dreams are already coming to life this year.

12.- Looking ahead, what would make you genuinely excited to wake up one morning and say, “This is the fashion world I always wanted to be part of?

Honestly if you love what you do and you do what you love everyone is happy. I absolutely love my job and the fact that I can create every dream I have into a physical reality. I’m grateful to God for my creative talents and the fact that

I am living my childhood dream everyday where it’s on the runway, in the studio or on the stage I get to be my true authentic self everyday and that is the most wonderful gift life has given me.
