Maja Jankowiak, the stunning Polish model and newly crowned Miss Glamour UK Ambassador 2025/2026, represents a generation of young women who gracefully balance ambition, identity, and purpose. Born and raised in the quiet village of Miłkowice in Lower Silesia, she grew up surrounded by tradition, simplicity, and a strong sense of cultural belonging. That early environment shaped her values long before life led her to the United Kingdom at just ten years old — a move that challenged her with a language barrier, a new society, and the task of rebuilding her world from the ground up. Yet, through resilience and an open heart, Maja came to love the place she now calls home, finding friendships, opportunities, and a platform from which to shine.
Between university responsibilities and professional commitments, pageantry quickly became much more than a hobby for Maja: it became a safe space, a community, and a path toward self-discovery. Introduced to the world of beauty competitions by a close friend, she stepped on stage for the first time in 2023 without imagining how profoundly it would transform her life. Today, as Miss Glamour UK Ambassador, she continues to inspire girls across Europe with her authenticity, kindness, and the empowering mission behind her advocacy, Maja’s Bumble Bees.
Her journey reflects the strength of someone who believes deeply in dreams — not only her own, but also those of the young women who look up to her. With humility, resilience, and a commitment to spreading positivity, Maja Jankowiak stands as a modern symbol of beauty with purpose, a woman whose story is still unfolding and whose influence continues to grow.

Maja Jankowiak, zachwycająca polska modelka i obecna Miss Glamour UK Ambassador 2025/2026, reprezentuje pokolenie młodych kobiet, które z wdziękiem łączą ambicję, autentyczność i głęboki rozwój osobisty. Urodzona i wychowana w Miłkowicach, niewielkiej miejscowości na Dolnym Śląsku, dorastała w otoczeniu spokoju, tradycji i silnego poczucia tożsamości kulturowej. To właśnie tam ukształtowały się jej wartości, zanim życie poprowadziło ją do Wielkiej Brytanii w wieku zaledwie dziesięciu lat — zmiany, która przyniosła wyzwania językowe, nowe realia społeczne i konieczność rozpoczęcia wszystkiego od nowa. Maja jednak z czasem pokochała swoje nowe miejsce na ziemi, odnajdując tu przyjaźnie, możliwości i przestrzeń, w której mogła rozwinąć skrzydła.
Dzięki pokorze, wytrwałości i pragnieniu szerzenia dobra, Maja Jankowiak staje się symbolem współczesnego piękna z przesłaniem, a jej wpływ i znaczenie rosną z każdym kolejnym krokiem.
1.- Maja, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. What do you like about your hometown?
I was born and raised in Miłkowice, a little village based in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. I still miss the quiet streets of my home town and the culture. My family and I moved to the United Kingdom when I was 10 years old, at the beginning it was hard with the language barrier but I have learnt to love this place as it is where I’ve met the best people which I now call my friends.
2.- What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
Alongside a busy work and university schedule pageantry has become my passion and hobby. It is a safe place where I can be myself among an ever growing community of supportive women. Some of the friendships I have made along the way have actually been made through pageantry. What gives me joy and a lot of confidence is being surrounded by the community and walking on stage knowing that so many girls will always support me.
3.- Miss Glamour UK Ambassador 2025/26 . When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have about achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I first found out about pageants through my friend Charlotte that I met at college. She has convinced me to enter my first pageant which was the Royal UK finals in 2023 and to just give it a chance never knowing that it would be life changing. Since then I have followed her footsteps and joined Glamour as Miss Glamour East Midlands and went on to achieve my dreams of joining the family as your Miss Glamour UK Ambassador. To be recognized as an influencer is quite extraordinary to me as I just continue to be my unique self.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Maja in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
The distinctive stamp I bring to every activity as a beauty queen and model is my unwavering resilience and heartfelt commitment to spreading kindness and equality. Through my platform, Maja’s Bumble Bees, I strive to inspire positivity in every space I enter. As a student council member and peer mentor, I lead by example in my daily life, showing that true beauty is expressed through compassion, integrity, and the willingness to uplift others. Everything I do is grounded in purpose — to create meaningful impact and to encourage those around me to do the same.
5.- What is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an international model?
Be unique within yourself, believe that you will achieve your dreams and do not let anyone tell you otherwise. I believe that dreams are something special and that you should do everything in your power to achieve them. They are what makes you…you. There will be challenges along the way, plenty of haters that will want to see you fail, or people telling you that you don’t fit into what is their ideal image, but what is important is that you don’t listen to them.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I actually am not aware of that at all, however the idea is both thrilling but scary. I am filled with awe that some girls might actually look up to me and it is such an honour but it actually puts a little amount of expectations on a person as my actions or words can somehow affect them. What I can try to do is to be the best version of myself and to become the person my younger self would be proud of. If I can have an effect on the younger generations I want to show them through my platform that kindness does not cost anything but negative words can leave a big impact.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
It was definitely a surreal feeling, I remember when I first competed I didn’t know what to expect and I was truly nervous. But with the guidance of the directors and the whole team behind the pageants I quickly picked up a few tips. Then when the girls in my Teen category found out that it was my first time cheering so loudly for me and supported me.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
It certainly does have its advantages, I personally use it to spread awareness about the importance of kindness and to show how amazing my Glamour family is. However, unfortunately in the wrong hands social media can have a negative impact especially on the younger generation.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? What’s your favorite social media?
My favorite social media is Instagram, it is where I connect with people the most whatever it’s posting on my account or interacting with other peoples content.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
My advice is to not be afraid, fear will often overshadow your true potential and who you can become. True talent should not be hidden but displayed, be proud of yourself and what you have got. And my advice to parents is that you have to let your child reach their full potential, nurture and push them so that they can be the best version of themselves.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
There is a motto that my coach Sofia stands for ‘No one is you and that is your superpower’. I relate to that so much and I think so many people do as well, there is always something unique about every single person and it is important we find it in ourselves.
12.- Maja, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
I have been on two photoshoots but I can’t say that I am a model. However, sometimes in the near future I would like to explore that possibility. I know that there might be obstacles along the way but I will do my best to pursue my dreams and passions.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I have not actually, actinging has never been a goal of mine but if the right opportunity comes along I wouldn’t say no to a challenge. I do enjoy watching a good film or spending a relaxing day stuck into a good series, my favourite series of all time is Game of Thrones.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I am truly thankful for the women that have fought hard so that I can have the opportunities I have today. They truly shaped society these days and the world has come a long way. It upsets me that still in the 21st century women are abused and taken advantage of and I think that every right for a safe, happy future.
15.- Maja, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is that I want to make the people around me feel proud of me and of what I do, but there is also one important person and that is my little self. I have always wanted to become the person that my younger self would look up to and I strive towards that goal all the time. The one thing I’m always grateful for are my parents and the amount of support I receive from them.
16.- Maja, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I do like to travel, so far I’ve been to Turkey, Dominican Republic, Czech Republic and looking forward to my next vacation in Spain. I still want to see the world and the top priorities on my lists are France, Italy and Greece. From personal opinion I think the best place to visit in Poland is either Gdansk and Wroclaw and London in the UK.

18.- Maja, your last words or final tips
My final message is a reminder to anyone pursuing a dream: your power begins the moment you choose to rise above doubt and stand proudly in your purpose. Lead with a heart that is fearless in its kindness, because compassion is not just gentle — it is transformative. Every challenge you face is shaping you into someone stronger, wiser, and more capable of creating impact.
Never shrink yourself for the comfort of the world. Take up space with integrity. Speak boldly with intention. And let your journey be proof that resilience paired with purpose can move mountains. If my story inspires anything, I hope it’s this: believe audaciously in your light, protect it fiercely, and use it to illuminate pathways for others. That is how we create change — not just for ourselves, but for everyone who dares to dream beside us.
