1. Tell me about the city where you were born and raised. What do you like about your hometown?
I was born and raised in Enschede, The Netherlands, a city that I absolutely love. What I enjoy the most are the terraces and the vibrant city atmosphere. It’s such a cozy and lively place that makes you feel at home.
2. What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
My hobbies include being around my friends, singing, doing fun things on social media, going to the cinema, and spending time at terraces. I laugh the most when I’m with my friends—they always bring me so much joy and positivity.
3. International Model – Miss Universe Overijssel 2025 Finalist. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? How do you feel achieving your dreams and being a recognized influencer?
I took my first step when I got scouted for Miss Beauty of Overijssel. At first, I was kind of scared, but I decided to go for it, and it ended up giving me so much more confidence. Then, when I got scouted again this year for Miss Universe Overijssel, I felt so excited and motivated. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I feel inspired to keep working toward my dreams.
4. What is the distinctive, unique stamp of Kelsey in each activity as a beauty queen and model?
My unique stamp is my authenticity and the way I connect with people. I want to inspire other girls to follow their dreams, overcome their fears, and believe in themselves. Spreading positivity is something I’m passionate about, and I always strive to reflect that in everything I do.
5. What is the main virtue any woman must have to be an international model?
Confidence and perseverance. Confidence allows you to shine in front of the camera and on stage, and perseverance helps you overcome challenges along the way.
6. Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls? How important is it for you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
Yes, I’m aware of the influence I can have, and I take it very seriously. It’s an honor to inspire young girls and teenagers to follow their dreams. I want them to know that they are capable of achieving great things with belief in themselves.
7. What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera and participated in a beauty pageant?
The first time I modeled in front of a video camera, I felt nervous but also excited it was an empowering experience. My first pageant brought out similar feelings, but I also felt proud to be representing myself and stepping out of my comfort zone.
8. What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social media is incredibly powerful. It’s a platform where you can share your story, connect with others, and inspire people worldwide. But there’s also a not-so-fun side, like negativity and online bullying, and I find that really sad because I believe we should be supporting each other instead of tearing each other down. Social media has the potential to spread so much positivity, and that’s what I want to focus on.
9. How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? What’s your favorite platform?
I love engaging with my followers by responding to messages and comments , and creating content. Instagram and tiktoks are my favorite platforms.
10. What would you advise young people with talent who hesitate to take the next step? What would you advise parents who don’t support their children’s talents?
To young people: Believe in yourself and take that step it might be scary, but it’s worth it. Fear only holds you back, and success starts when you decide to try.
To parents: Encourage your children and believe in their talents. Your support can be the difference between them giving up or reaching their full potential.
11. What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
I’ve learned the importance of self-confidence. It also helped me with public speaking that used to be a big thing for me. I still get nervous when i have to do it but it has gotten way better since the miss beauty traject. It’s also taught me resilience and how to handle challenges with grace.
12. Has being a model been easy for you? Were there obstacles, and how did you overcome them?
I don’t feel like I’m a model yet, but it’s my dream, and I love working toward it. There are obstacles, such as self-doubt and the pressure to meet certain standards, but I overcome them by focusing on my goals and staying motivated.
13. Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Yes, I’ve thought about acting, and I’m definitely interested in the entertainment industry. Acting seems like another beautiful way to express creativity and connect with people. When i was younger i took theatre lessons and i really enjoyed those.
14. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in societies where they are still oppressed?
I believe women have the power to bring about incredible change, even in societies where they face challenges. Through education, advocacy, and unity, women will continue to fight for their rights and inspire future generations.
15. What is your motivation, and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation comes from working toward my dreams and inspiring others to follow theirs. Every day, I feel grateful for my family, my health, and the opportunities I’ve been given to grow and achieve.
16. Do you like to travel? What countries have you visited, and which ones do you want to visit?
I love traveling! I’ve visited Spain, France, Germany, Greece, Turkey, Italy, and Croatia, and I would love to visit Thailand one day.
