1. Manon, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. What do you like about your hometown?

I am born and raised in Paris, til the age of 11. I moved in Dubai in summer 2023 with my family.
I can’t say that I miss Paris, because it is almost impossible to compete with life in Dubai, but I do love coming “home” twice year and just wander in the Parisian streets, full of history.

2. What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or does it give you a lot of joy?

My life is basically :
28 hours of school and 18 hours of performing arts activities per week !
I do drama in French and English, Musical, Singing, Acro, Ballet, Fusion / Commercial / Jazz dance, Contemporary dance and Taps. And when I manage to get free time, I do more performing arts projects. For instance, I enrolled to the “Short & Sweet” competition (best 10 minutes play) where I am co-writing / co-directing / co-playing! For sure, I am in the school musical also.

3. International Actress, When do you decide to take your first steps as an actress? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?

No one is “from the business” I my family, but seemed obvious for my parents to enroll me in a kid agency, given my character… Even when I was very little, I enjoyed very much being on stage, and was not scared at all.
Still the case some years later! Then, it is a classic story: I did some TV commercials, then small roles in movies or TV shows, then bigger ones.

For now, there are only 2 purposes for all that:
1° ENJOY & ENJOY
2° Get the right skills to make it a career if I decide so

4. As an actress, do you prefer television, theatre, cinema?

Whatever: the most important is actually the set ambiance!
I love sets, they are like a beehive, buzzling of people doing their job all converging to the “ACTION” moment.
What’s important for me is to try as much as possible, to be then able to do the best choices later!

5. What kind of characters do you like to play or feel most comfortable playing?

I prefer comedy, but actually I feel way better in dramatic scenes, when the character is close to cry or with intense sad emotions.
I am doing the Trinity Grade 3 exam this year, and I chose a monologue where the character is very close to completely losing it. Love it.

6.- Which famous artist would you like to perform with or share the stage with?

I would looove to :
> Write with Alexis Michalik, my favorite French writer / director ever
> Be in a movie with Emma Stone, she makes me cry in a blink
> Be on stage on a play with Pierre Niney, the most amazing French actor
> Dance with Tomohisa Yamashita, huge star in Japan
> Be directed by Emma Watts in the movie adaptation of “Keeper of the lost cities” books

7. What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Manon in each activity carried out as a person and actress?

I can only think of one comment that keeps coming every time I play with / for someone: energy energy energy ! That definitely applies to my personal life also.

8. What is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an artist?

I have 0 complex with “I am a woman, so I should not do this or this”. I am confident and I dare.
And I urge every woman around me to feel and act the same. Whatever you do, you will be criticized, then dare do what you want!

9. Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be actresses? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?

I do not have influence but if I do some day, I would definitely use it to fight for a larger purpose.
What’s the point of being famous if you don’t use it for the greater good? Right now, I am revolted by the imprisonment of Nadezhda Buyanova after a fake trial, because she allegedly criticized Ukraine invasion in a private conversation.

10. What was your feeling the first time in front of a video camera?

It felt right! I was just happy, simple as that.
That’s why I guess this should become my full time job when I grow up.

11. What do you think about the power of social media today?

Let’s say, a bit of social media is nice, too much is definitely not.
When I watch old videos of teenagers in the 80s-90s, everything seems simplier and they seem happier.

12. How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?

My favorite social media is Instagram, by far. “Posts” are fully dedicated to my “artistic” life (“stories” can be personal though). I try to answer every comment and message. Some followers take time for me, I take time for them.
I do have a YouTube channel, but I do not target to grow on it.

13. What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?

One of the main rules at home is:
“Choose whatever you want to do. But what you have chosen: do it right, with all you energy”.
I guess then I am very very lucky to have very supportive and dedicated parents. Could simply not work like that without them.

My general advice for a kid to try is very simple:
– If you don’t try, you have 0% chance of doing it
– If you try, you have more than 0% chance of doing it
=> So don’t put too much hope in it, but definitely DO IT.

14. What important lessons have you learned from the entertainment industry?

I would say 2 things.

1st one is related to the question above.
There are more rejections than positive answers. So, once you’ve done a casting or send a tape, force yourself not think about it. Move on.
Then a “yes” becomes a good surprise, instead of a “no” being bad news.

2nd work always pays.
Sometimes it is straightforward. Sometimes the connection is looong but it eventually pays.
So be serious, and work work work!

15. Manon, being an actress for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?

I am facing my most difficult moments right now.
France was full of opportunities, and it was just up to me to be convincing.
Here in the UAE, there are almost no opportunities, in the movie industry I mean.
I am still doing few castings for French roles though. So right now, I do focus on upskilling everything that could be useful in the future.
I joined “Diverse performing arts center”, one of the best performing arts school in the world, and I have 18 hours of artistic activities per week => I have no problem to sleep when I get back home!

16. Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?

Not that long ago, women could not own their own bank account in France. See where we are today.
So, I am actually very confident that my generation should reach true gender equality. Maybe not everywhere, maybe not every time, but we’ll get there at some point.

17. Manon, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?

As shared, I have supportive parents. As shared, I am part of the greatest performing arts school.
I live in a great city. I am healthy. I mean… What else?

18. Manon, do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?

Sure! Again, I am lucky:
If I am counting right, I visited 15 countries in my life. And that’s a beginning!
Best one (and I want to do it again and again): JAPAN! Next one should be South Korea, close enough to be very excited about it.

19.- You and me (Jaime William) are going to play ping pong, I will tell you one word and you will answer with another word that comes to your mind.

– Marriage : One day
– Children : 2
– Love : true
– Travel : culture understanding
– Abortion : a right
– Dance : a necessity
– Sing : a learning
– Europe : home
– America : futures studies I hope
– Sport : inclusion
– Money : niiice
– Parents : homework
– Dreams : performing arts
– Passion : acting
– Madness Percentage : 95% humidity in August
– Character : Sophie Foster in “Keeper of the lost cities”

20. Manon, your last words or final tips

I went to this a play last Friday. And the Friday before. And actually 3 weeks ago. And I don’t get it: there is no kids in the audience…
Drama is life! GO to theaters! GO and watch plays!
This is good for mood & this is good for health! This should be reimbursed by healthcare providers!
