Rebeka Vidić, ponosna predstavnica Virja, je Miss & Face of Croatia of the Year i simbol ljepote, kulture i predanosti. Njezino putovanje u svijetu mode i natjecanja obilježeno je uspjesima poput sudjelovanja na Miss Balkana i brojnim revijama, gdje uvijek spaja svoj šarm s kulturnim vrijednostima.
Svoju inspiraciju crpi iz obitelji, posebice majke i sestara, koje su joj najveća podrška. Rebeka vjeruje da je prava ljepota spoj unutarnje svjetlosti, obrazovanja i ljubavi prema tradiciji.
Rebeka je primjer mladim ženama kako uz trud i samopouzdanje mogu ostvariti svoje snove.
1.- Rebeka, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
– I was born in the city of Koprivnica, which is located in the northwest of Croatia. I live in a beautiful small village of Virju, which attracts many tourists and residents with its beauty and cultural heritage. Virje is located in the heart of Podravina, between the Drava River and the hills of Bilogora. The inhabitants are engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry and other activities related to work in the countryside. Virje was also declared the best basketball village, which greatly attracts young talents and athletes. It is a very populated place and a place that happily welcomes new residents and locals. If I could choose where to live, I would always choose Virje, because its wonderful valleys, rivers, nature itself fills the hearts of young people who are eager to rest in nature.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
– My hobby is beautifying women, i.e. makeup and everything that makeup includes. I love helping women highlight, emphasize their natural beauty. In addition to makeup in my free time, I also do volunteering in shelters for abandoned animals, which makes my little heart big and fills it. Small things really make me happy, I’m a person with a big heart, so I don’t need big things to make me smile and cheer up, but I have to admit that the biggest smile comes from my close and dear people, friends and family who support me in everything, they are big for me support.
3.-International Model, – Croatian beauty queen When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
– It is a great honor and pleasure for me to be an international model, named as a Croatian representative. Like every little girl, I always had a great passion for fashion, clothes, make-up, jewelry, beautification and fashion shows and models. I decided to take my first step in the fashion world at the age of 18, where I took part in the «Miss Supranational Croatia» pageant, where I won a place in the national competition, which I gave up, because as a young girl it was too big a step for me and I didn’t feel like it ready enough. In the meantime, I participated in many fashion shows of different designers, where I gained experience, so at the very end, at the invitation of my dear mentor and at the persuasion of my relatives, I decided to participate in the «Face of Croatia of the Year» competition. I didn’t have high expectations, but I felt ready and confident. In the end, it was this self-confidence and inner radiance that helped me shine and win the title and the crown itself. With the victory itself, I achieved an excellent ranking and an invitation to the national competition, where I also won one of the titles. Of course, this is not the end of my fashion journey, but only the beginning. New acquaintances, collaborations, partners opened up for me, and the biggest success was that I was invited to an international competition as a representative of the whole of Croatia. The feeling is great. I am already fulfilling all my dreams as a young girl at the age of 22 and I don’t want to stop, I want to achieve even greater successes.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Rebeka in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
– I believe that what makes me different is that I radiate joy and confidence on the runway. Every girl is beautiful in her own way, but I think that for these kinds of competitions it is not only the outer beauty that is needed, but the inner beauty that we wear. The very culture, education and attitude that we carry from the place we come from.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
– I believe that the greatest virtue a woman must have is her strength, a femininity that shines with her security. Apart from self-confidence, of course appearance is also important, but I believe that natural beauty is the biggest advantage for a woman in the fashion and modeling journey.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
-I must honestly admit that I am not yet aware of all my achievements, nor that I managed to make a career independently with all the effort. It feels great to be someone’s idol, an example in the world. I get many compliments that I am the idol of many young girls and that one day they would like to be like me. Of course, after such comments, I am even more confident and happy with myself, because I see that I am someone’s role model. Of course, it is very important for me to be a good example, especially to young girls and all women who want to succeed in their dreams and goals.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
-The first time I was very insecure, I didn’t know where to look or how to pose, but by the second time I went out and filmed I had an extremely high confidence with which I shined and took my first step in the fashion world. The feeling in front of the camera is extraordinary!
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
– Social networks such as LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram and Facebook are powerful tools for building and promoting a personal brand. They provide each person with a global stage where we can share our thoughts, showcase our work and engage with a large audience. I believe that the influence of social networks is very large and that they have a significant influence in the promotion of a person. Of course, every social network has bad flaws in its work, such as many fake profiles, speeches and spreading hatred through the networks themselves, fraud and false distribution.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
– I prefer hanging out physically, rather than through social media, but if I had to choose one favorite media, it would be Instagram, because I like to share my moments, stories and photos on it. Instagram is more special to me because through it I can follow not only friends but also other social media, acquaintances, models, agents and learn something.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
– I believe that every person who has a dream can achieve it and should not give up on it. Every beginning is difficult, but in most cases it has a positive outcome, so I also believe that every dream has a good ending. I am a big opponent of parents not supporting their children. I believe that it is the parent who should be the greatest support and role model for the child, and «push» him towards the realization of his dreams.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
-I learned a great lesson, which is that if I want to succeed in anything, I must first learn to value myself, gain faith and self-confidence, because that brings golden success and the key in modeling, but also in other jobs.
12.- Rebeka, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
– Becoming a model is not a lie at all. It takes a lot of time and study. It is necessary to give up a lot of things as well as free time. The worst part of the models, it doesn’t sound nice at all, there aren’t many of them, at least from my side. It’s different for everyone, but in my opinion, the bad side of the modeling world is that models who are what they are are mostly because they are beautiful or different from others, whether it’s because of unusual hair, skin, face shape… it doesn’t matter, on his health suffers from recordings or fashion shows. The health of the face, hair, of course is different for everyone, some people’s back health worsens because it can be tiring to stand in unusual poses for a long time during filming, which causes severe back pain, but this is nothing unusual, because this is how all people who do anything lose their health. But health, for example facial skin, hair … models lose the most, who are models simply because they have beautiful healthy facial skin, beautiful healthy hair, body, and that is what suffers the most in this business. After changing makeup and hairstyle many times during the day with all kinds of cosmetics, facial skin and hair are destroyed, irritated, dry, pimples appear on the face, which would probably be difficult for someone who cares about their health. I think that someone who is a model does not have a big reason to use a lot of make-up or changes because he is naturally beautiful, as well as changing and destroying his hair. Instead of showing a person’s natural beauty, she usually just changes and «destroys» that natural beauty during filming and fashion shows.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
– As a little girl I attended an acting school and enjoyed it. I acted in many local plays and also represented our region in acting at state competitions. I get a lot of compliments that I look like the famous actress «Salma Hayek», which makes me extremely happy because she is one of the most beautiful and well-known women on the fashion and acting runways, on the celebrity side. Perhaps in the near future, she would like to participate in a film scene with a leading role. I think that she would manage and that she would be able to achieve a very good success there as well.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
– Science and technology played an important role in the emancipation of women, and vice versa in the case of female inventors. However, women in science have not been a topic for a long time, and although the situation is improving, there is a long way to equality. I believe that the role of women in the world and in the social part itself is very large. Every woman contributes greatly with her existence and work. What particularly characterizes women’s style and contribution is women’s intuition, better ability
15.- Rebeka, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
-My biggest motivation today is my mother. She is a great woman who has the greatest role and merit in my life. My greatest support, support and MOTHER! A woman who taught me how to cope with defeats and successes, how to «walk through life», behave and appreciate achieved successes. A person who, even in the most difficult moments, ups and downs, will always be my biggest support and «wind at my back».
16.- Rebeka, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
– Of course I like to travel. I am a person who is always in favor of action, dynamics and new experiences. I have traveled through many countries, but I must admit that our Croatia is one of the most beautiful. I would recommend a visit to every person who is eager to rest, experience new things and acquire a new culture. The population is friendly and accepting. It is full of wonderful rivers, valleys and cultural attractions. Croatia, a country of rich history and beautiful regions, hides many interesting things that will surprise you. Regardless of whether you are a lover of nature, history or culture, Croatia is a country of rich history and beautiful regions, hiding many interesting things that will surprise you.
