1. – Lisa , tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was borned and raised in a small town close to Utrecht. What I love most about my hometown is the peacefulness, and how it makes me feel at home every time I visit.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I love modeling, dancing, and spending time with my loved ones. Reading and traveling are also big passions of mine. Helping others and seeing their joy also fills me with happiness.
3.-International Model, Miss Teen Continents Netherlands. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I took my first steps into modeling and beauty pageants a couple of years ago when I realized they combined my love for creativity, self-expression, and personal growth. Achieving my dreams feels incredibly rewarding—it’s proof that hard work and passion can lead to amazing opportunities. Pageantry also gives me a platform to inspire others, which I think is super important as a young woman. Pageantry also really boosted my self esteem, and is the reason that I can walk every room in with confidence.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Lisa in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
My unique stamp is my authenticity. I strive to remain true to myself while inspiring others to do the same. I approach everything with a positive spirit, and try to be the best version of me everywhere. Even when things are getting hard, I will always see the light of a situation.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
Confidence and kindness. Being confident allows you to shine, while kindness helps you build meaningful relationships and attract the right people for you. Both are essential to standing out and making a lasting impact
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
It’s an honor to inspire young girls and teenagers, and I take that role seriously. It’s important to show them that beauty comes in many forms and that hard work, resilience, and authenticity can help them achieve their dreams. I always love to help young girls in their journey, and to see their growth. I always see my young self in them, and it gives me so much joy when I see them grow.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
It feels like such a long time ago haha! But thinking back, I think I loved it from the first moment. I grew up as a dancer, so I was used to performing my whole life basically. Ever since I was young I would also always dress up, and take my mom her bags/heels to perform a “modeling show” at home and I would always pose for pictures. It really is something that grew naturally on me through the years, so I think that’s why it felt natural.
However, my first beauty pageant was a big step out of my comfort zone. I grew up performing as a dancer, but I had no real experience in walking a catwalk, nor walking in heels. It was an experience filled with adrenaline, but also pride, knowing I was embracing a new challenge outside of my comfort zone. Even though it felt somewhat uncomfortable at first, as it was something completely new for me, I really fell in love with pageantry from the start. I knew from the very beginning it was something I wanted to continue, and I am super proud that I did, as I am your Teen Continents Netherlands 2024!
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social media is a powerful tool that can connect people, share ideas, and inspire change. However, it also comes with responsibility. It’s important to use it to spread positivity and make meaningful connections rather than focusing on negativity
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I love interacting with my followers by sharing insights into my daily life, answering questions, and talking with them through direct message. Instagram is my favorite platform.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
To young people: Believe in yourself and take the risk! It’s okay to feel scared, but courage comes from taking that first step. You don’t want to think in 10 years about the “what if-s”. To parents: Support your children’s passions—it’s the foundation of their confidence and success. Encourage them to follow their dreams while offering guidance along the way. Because of my parents unconditional support I never gave up, and I am so so so thankful for that!
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
I’ve learned the value of determination, hard work, and staying true to myself. The industry has taught me to embrace both criticism and praise as tools for growth.
12.- Lisa , being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
It hasn’t always been easy. I thought about quitting with participating in pageants lots of times. I’ve faced challenges like self-doubt and rejection. But I overcame them by staying focused on my goals, not listening to negative people, learning from setbacks, and surrounding myself with supportive people.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Younger Lisa did! I actually took acting classes when I was younger, but in this day and age it doesn’t really align with my goals anymore.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I believe women have unique strengths which should be embraced, and I think it is so sad that many women their qualities are overlooked. Our nurturing nature, emotional intelligence, and resilience bring balance and growth to societies. In the future, I hope these qualities will be further embraced and valued, creating stronger communities where both men and women can thrive together, so that women can be their most powerful self in society. It is so important to embrace the strengths of women!
15.- Lisa , what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation comes from the unconditional support of my parents. They have been my support since I was younger, and always motivate me. I feel deeply grateful to have such supportive loving parents.
I also believe that God has a plan for me, and that things don’t happen without a reason. This is what I think about when I want to give up, and really motivates me.
16.- Lisa , Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I love traveling! I’ve visited many countries in Europe, South America, North America, Africa, Central America and hope to explore Asia next. In the Netherlands, I recommend visiting the canals of Amsterdam, the tulip fields, and the historic windmills—it’s a beautiful country full of charm. Also Rotterdam, the city where I live now, is different than other cities in the Netherlands due to its modernity which I really love!
