1. – Ida, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I’ve lived in more than 20 places across Denmark. I was born in North Zealand, a slightly richer part of Denmark, but I spent my childhood in Nakskov on the island of Lolland until I was 10. Nakskov is quite different from North Zealand, and after that, we moved back to Zealand, where I lived in Roskilde and nearby towns.
I think of Nakskov as my childhood town, and I’m really grateful for growing up there. It was a safe place filled with happy memories. Nakskov has a reputation as a low-income area, especially after a TV show that focused on the rougher side of town. But that’s only one perspective, and you find areas like that in any town. Nakskov is the largest town on Lolland, but it doesn’t offer much for young adults; there aren’t many educational op- tions or much nightlife. But for a child, Nakskov was a wonderful place, with plenty of institutions for kids, beautiful nature, and safe streets.
As a teenager, though, it was better to be on Zealand, so I’m glad we eventually moved to Roskilde. It’s close to Copenhagen, and the surrounding towns are livelier, with cozy parks, fun events, and lots of schools and educational options. Roskilde was actually Denmark’s capital before Copenhagen, and today it’s known for Roskilde Cathedral, the Viking Museum, and the Roskilde Festival, Denmark’s biggest music festival. I think it’s the perfect size and has everything you need.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I love spending time with my family and friends, as well as staying active and playing sports. I enjoy quality time with the people I care about, whether that’s relaxing in the park or on the beach, competing in board games or padel and beach tennis, or just shar- ing a glass of wine or a good meal. In the summer in Denmark, I really enjoy going camping with my family, which we’ve done several times a year for as long as I can re- member.
I’d say I have two sides to my personality: one side is feminine – I love makeup, dress- es, heels, and going out for cocktails. The other side is more down-to-earth; I love being out in nature, camping, sleeping in a camper van, tent, or shelter, taking a dip in the sea, and cozying up by a bonfire.
3.-International Model, Miss Europe Continental Denmark 2023. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
A scout from Miss Europe Continental reached out to me in 2022 and asked if I’d be in- terested in representing Denmark in their beauty competition in November 2023. It was a real honor to be choosen, and I was excited to take it on. Participating in this competi- tion gave me valuable experience on stage, and I also had the chance to expand my network and meet many wonderful girls from around the world who share the same pas- sion.
After the competition, I landed a permanent modeling job with a clothing brand in Den- mark, which I truly enjoyed. However, I wanted to explore more opportunities and grow
as a model internationally, so I left the company in September and moved to Bali. As the saying goes, when one door closes, another opens. I love challenging myself and there’s nothing more rewarding than learning something new or achieving a goal – it fuels my drive to aim even higher.
I’m an educated teacher, so helping and inspiring others comes naturally to me. I be- lieve we should all lift each other up whenever we can, and that’s something that brings me a lot of joy. Now, I’m excited to see where my next adventure will take me.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Ida in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
As a model, I prioritize staying true to myself and maintaining clear boundaries, ensuring my work is never sexualized, even if that means turning down certain offers, likes, or followers. I’ve often heard from photographers that this approach makes me stand out and inspires them to collaborate with me because it allows for more creativity in other ways.
At the same time, I enjoy challenging myself, stepping out of my comfort zone, and evolving both personally and professionally. However, it’s essential that my work remains creative and aesthetically aligned with my values – something I can always feel proud of. I see myself as a fashion model who thrives on creating diverse and artistic photo sessions across various styles and themes.
Authenticity is equally important to me, both in my work and in how I present myself. I enjoy sharing more personal aspects of myself, so people can connect with the person behind the images. This openness, not only strengthens my bond with my followers, but also fosters a sense of community thats make my journey more meaningful.
This versatility and authenticity are my strengths – qualities that many find both inspiring and worth following.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
I believe that being authentic, true to yourself, and willing to inspire and make a difference for others are important qualities for an international model.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
As a model, you must be aware of your potential influence as a role model. This is why it is crucial to be authentic and true to yourself. It is very meaningful for me to be an idol for other girls if I can help and inspire them towards their goals and dreams.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
When I first modeled in front of a camera about 8 years ago, I felt quite nervous but also excited to step outside my comfort zone for trying this. I was also determined to take it
as a positive experience, which proved to be the case and has led me to where I am today.
When I had to participate in the beauty pageant, I was more self-assured, but still excit- ed. I looked forward to the experience of being on stage and meeting the other girls. I also anticipated what this experience could give me in terms of new experiences and personal development, both as a model and as a person.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social media has both positive and negative aspects. It can create new opportunities. As a model, I’m very grateful for it, as it’s my tool for building a network, growing, showcasing my work, and being seen. However, you must also be cautious, as what we see online is only a small part of reality, and there is a lot which is manipulated, so it’s important to be critical of what we see.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I’m deeply grateful for the supportive community I have around me, as they have had a big influence on where I am today. I’m delighted when my followers engage through likes, comments, messages, and reactions, and it allows me to listen and connect with them. Instagram is my preferred platform.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
My advice to young people with talent who hesitate to take the next step is straightforward: if you don’t take action, you won’t progress. Stepping out of your comfort zone is nerve-wracking but necessary for growth. Approach new experiences focused on enjoying the process, not just the outcome. It’s important you feel comfortable – you should never feel pressured, and saying no is always okay. Having a trusted friend or family member there for support can also make a big difference. As parents, it’s important to support your child in this – both to ensure they’re comfortable and can explore their talent or dreams, and to ensure they’re in good hands.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
Looking back on my modeling journey, my key advice would be to stay true to yourself and your passions. Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone – that’s where growth happens. Enjoy and trust the process.
12.- Ida, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
My modeling journey began in an unexpected way: in a supermarket. I was 19, out shopping, and after I paid for my groceries, a man approached me and offered me a paid modeling job. I had never done modeling before and had to think it over, but I decided
to try it. It was a positive experience, and that journey has continued to grow, leading me to where I am today.
My biggest challenges have been having to step out of my comfort zone, but that was something I was motivated to do, as it pushes me to work towards my goals and devel- op myself.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
That’s an interesting question. In fact, I did consider acting before becoming a model about 10 years ago. I find the entertainment industry quite interesting, which also have a strong connection to the modeling world.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I believe women and men should have an equal voice in society overall. They should also have equal opportunities og vilkår in areas where they perform the same work. However, we must remember there are biological differences, so men and women can have varying strengths and interests, and that is also okay if they choose this by themself – society should recognize rather than force change. We need each other. Ultimately, we are all equal human beings and should be treated as such.
15.- Ida, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation in life is myself, my personal dreams and goals. My growth and successes further motivate me to achieve new goals. I’m very grateful that I listen to myself, do what I want, follow my dreams, and live the life I desire.
16.- Ida, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I LOVE to travel. For me, traveling is living. I enjoy creating experiences, learning about other countries, people and cultures, and exploring this beautiful planet with so much to offer.
I’ve been to countries like Bulgaria, Gran Canaria, Spain, Malta, Cyprus, Italy, Greece, Ireland, Norway, England, Poland, Germany, Zanzibar, Nairobi, Thailand, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bali, the USA, Bahamas, and more.
My bucket list of countries I’d love to experience includes Mexico, Bora Bora, and Mauri- tius. And after meeting many French people in Bali lately, I’ve also become quite curious about France.
In Denmark, I’d recommend visiting Copenhagen first and foremost. It’s a wonderful city with plenty to see and do. Then I can suggest Roskilde for its Cathedral and Viking Ship Museum, and if you enjoy festivals, Roskilde Festival is the most popular in Denmark.
Additionally, there are beautiful beaches and nature, especially in West Jutland. But there are many charming towns across Denmark, each with their own unique character.
