1.- Clarisse, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. What do you like about your hometown?
I was born and raised in Hong Kong.
What I love most about Hong Kong is that it truly has everything: sea, mountains, and a vibrant city life, all in one place. You can be in the middle of a bustling, crowded street, and just minutes later, find yourself on a quiet, peaceful hiking trail overlooking the ocean.
I also love how international and diverse Hong Kong is. You can find anything, do anything, eat anything.
The city never sleeps, and one thing is for sure; you will never get bored here. That’s why I’m so proud to represent it on the international stage as Miss International Hong Kong 2026.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I love staying active. I used to play badminton regularly, and these days I go to the gym. But I also enjoy trying new sports like boxing, grappling, and hiking, especially in Hong Kong, where nature is always so close. When I’m not being active, I enjoy reading a good book or watching Netflix to unwind.
But what truly gives me the most joy is simply spending quality time with my friends and family. Their company, the conversations, the shared meals, the silly moments… that’s where my happiness comes from.
3.- International Model, Miss International Hong Kong 2026. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have, achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I took my first steps into modelling and pageantry back in April or May 2025, when I applied for Miss International Hong Kong. To be honest, it was never a dream of mine. I didn’t grow up wanting to be on stage or wear a crown. For me, it was a way to challenge myself, develop new skills, grow as a person, and discover new things about who I really am.
But over time, something shifted. What started as an experiment has slowly grown into something I genuinely enjoy. It’s not easy, I won’t pretend it is, but being able to see my own transformation gives me a deep sense of achievement. It’s proof that I should never limit myself to the box that I or anyone else has placed me in. Because life has no limits.
That said, being a recognized figure also comes with downsides. There is a lot of pressure, and a lot of sacrifice, especially my time. I also work full time as an IT consultant, so balancing everything is incredibly time-consuming. But despite the challenges, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m excited to see where this journey continues to take me.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Clarisse in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I think my unique stamp is my sense of learning. I see every activity, whether it’s a photoshoot, a public appearance, or even just a simple encounter, as a learning experience.
In each one, there is always something to learn: from the task I am performing, from the people I meet, and even from the challenges that come up along the way. This mindset reminds me that every experience, good or difficult, is an opportunity to become a better version of myself.
That’s what makes me different. I don’t just go through the motions, I stay curious, I stay open, and I grow with every step.
5.- What’s is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an international model?
Being open.
As an international model, you will work with people from all over the world, different cultures, different personalities, different ways of expressing themselves and getting work done.
If you are not open, you will struggle. But if you embrace those differences and see them not as obstacles, but as learning experiences, then every collaboration becomes an opportunity to grow.
So for me, openness is the foundation. It allows you to adapt, to connect, and to truly thrive on an international stage.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
To be honest, the idea of being an influential person is still very new to me. I don’t take it lightly.
Whether it’s one person or thousands, I believe it is my responsibility and duty to be exemplary and authentic. If someone looks up to me as an idol, I want to be worthy of that trust. That means guiding them not just with words, but with my actions, showing them that it’s okay to struggle, to learn, and to grow.
It is very important to me that if someone chooses to look up to me, I have the ability to perform that role well, and to help them navigate their own path with honesty and strength.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modelled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
In front of the camera, excited, but also scared. Excited because of the new experience and the new opportunities. But scared because I was afraid of not performing well. The camera immortalizes everything, the good and the bad. So, there is pressure to perform well, because the bad moments don’t just disappear, they stay forever.
My first time at a beauty pageant, to be honest, I felt like I didn’t belong. Like I wasn’t where I was supposed to be. The reason is that I started modelling and pageantry at the same time, they happened together. So, I was completely new to everything, feeling like I didn’t know what I was doing, while everyone around me seemed so familiar and experienced. It was intimidating. But looking back, that discomfort was also the beginning of my growth.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
I think social media has taken too much of the spotlight nowadays. Values are no longer based on the person or the product itself, but on how well the social media accounts are being managed.
It’s powerful, yes, it can amplify voices and connect people across the world. But it also creates a world where perception often matters more than reality. And that, to me, is a problem. I believe we should never forget that what truly matters is who you are offline, not just how you appear online.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? What’s your favourite social media?
I prefer connecting through direct messages (DMs) because I find them more personal and intimate compared to other means, such as public comments. In DMs, I can have real conversations, listen to people’s stories, and respond more meaningfully.
My favourite social media platform is Instagram. It’s where I feel most comfortable sharing my journey and engaging with my community.

10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
To young people, don’t put yourself in a box. Life has no limits, and you will never know what you are capable of if you never try. The first step is always the scariest, but it’s also the most important.
To parents, be supportive. Your support matters more than you think. A single word of encouragement from you can give your child the courage to take that step. Your belief in them can make all the difference.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
One important lesson I’ve learned is that who you know can sometimes matter more than how you look, who you are, or even how good you are. Connections can make things happen much more easily.
That said, I also believe that while connections open doors, it’s still your character and your work that will keep them open. But in this industry, building genuine relationships is just as important as developing your talent.
12.- Clarisse, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
It has been very tough, I won’t pretend otherwise.
I am camera shy, so being in front of the lens is genuinely difficult for me.
I am also a foodie at heart, so constantly having to watch my body shape and make sure I look good on camera is also a challenge.
I am new to this industry, so I didn’t know anyone. No connections, no shortcuts.
On top of all that, I have a full‑time job as an IT consultant, which makes everything harder and leaves me with very little time.
However, I keep reminding myself that improvement takes time, and that failure is not final. Every setback teaches me something new. I also focus on small, consistent steps, whether it’s practicing in front of the camera, finding a balance between enjoying food and staying healthy, or slowly building my network one genuine connection at a time. I don’t expect perfection overnight. I just try to be a little better than I was yesterday.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Not really, to be honest. As I mentioned before, I didn’t join this industry with acting in mind. That was never the goal.
That said, I try to stay open to opportunities. If something interesting comes my way, I would definitely consider it. But it’s not something I’m actively pursuing.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Women are life changers. They are the ones willing to speak up and willing to make things happen. That courage, that determination, is exactly what will drive evolution in these societies.
I believe that women will continue to be at the forefront of progress, not by waiting for change, but by creating it themselves. Step by step, voice by voice, they will push for equality, safety, and opportunity. And as they do, the world will move forward with them.
15.- Clarisse, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
I feel grateful for life itself, for being healthy, for having a roof over my head, for being able to eat when I’m hungry and drink when I’m thirsty. These simple things are not guaranteed to everyone, and I never take them for granted.
My motivation is to make every day count and to live my life to the fullest.
